The purpose of this paper draws out a theoretical frame for dwelling space from Heidegger's thought, "Dwelling" and analyze Luis Baraggan's housing design as an instance of the practical expression of them. The 'creative inculturation' of dwelling space is possible through familiarity by disclosuring in time and place. Heidegger suggests that place as existential space represents the occasion revelation of incidents in Dasein. He interprets the dwelling as creative openness in which elements comprising this world face and interact with each other into one. Openness may be referred to a dynamic coordination in which the each and the world sustain each other under incessant mutual tension, but not sticking each other. Creative inculturation is determined according to how deeper conversation was made internally. To complete the process properly requires determining several relationships involved in the land area.land area.

The purpose of this study is to grasp the element and method of traditional expression appeared in hotel lobby spaces, and present the direction of traditional expression applicable to the domestic hotel lobby space. Therefore, this study analyzed traditional expression according to its element and method taken out from the prior researches related to it. Specifically, the element of traditional expressions divided into the element of space organization, the element of structure (bottom, wall, ceiling, window, door and pillar), and the element of decorative design(furniture, illumination, artistic ornament, color, and material). The method of traditional expressions divided into the method of prototype reappearance, prototype transformation, reinterpretation, and abstract. The target of analysis has been 27 hotels designed since 1970s. and described as expressed traditionality in architecture-technical journals and books in the inside and outside of the country. considering these results, it seems that the traditional expressions using more various elements and more various element and methods have to used in domestic hotels. Specifically, when expressing traditionality in the lobby space of domestic hotel, it is important to decided the method expressing traditionality at first, and the traditional expressions using the element of space organization, structure, decorative design, and so based on the method expression traditionality was fulfilled with coordination.

Furniture can be a product of design and is considered a form of a decorative art. Architectural works are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. Korean traditional architectural form and wooden furniture were improved by adding up an organic coordination in the interior space. Furniture adds beauty of life by being coordinated with the interior space with its particular characteristic in the form of architectural structure. Architecture and furniture are also being improved in a more natural and diverse way. Therefore, in this research, from the choice of the location, Korean traditional architecture is considered to be coordinated with the nature, and the technical skill is lessened to express its beauty. There is a presence of elegance yet robust combination of simplicity and beauty. In addition, the traditional architecture and wooden furniture are completely expressed structurally with coordination of the outstanding design and solid structure according to the thrifty living in the Confucian ideas which influenced the Korean traditional society. The representative of Korean traditional architecture, Baeheulrim pillar, has worked as motive because of its visual comfort caused by optical illusion and formative elements. The small portable dining table (Soban) which reflects the characteristic of Korean unique tradition and the sensitivity of Koreans has been reinterpreted through the motive in this research. As a result, it has shown the possibility as the design element to change the aesthetic structure. In the modern society, cultural identity plays a vital role. Therefore, this research can be used as reference for the new concept of furniture - making. It could be a combination of modern people, lifestyle and living space by creating the Korean image suitable for the modern society.

In order to maintain and protect professionalism in color planning, the present study examined the process at the time of realization of color through color inspection and supervision in the actual construction site and suggested plans for improvement. Reflecting the characteristics that the governing body of the construction site is not a private person but an organization, the present study aims to provide institutional measures so that the supervisor of color construction at the actual site of construction can propose concerns related to proper construction at the right time, and the matters cannot be decided from the perspective of a layman. The institutional measures are proposed through the case of application of a process at the construction stage of the color planning at the construction site of Muju Taekwondo Park. First, the process clarified where the responsibility lies by specifying special conditions concerning color inspection on the field guide and color contract. Second, the sample for building materials was selected after obtaining it from a company capable of supply and is appropriate for the planned unit cost so that it could play an important role in realizing colors at the stage of basic design. Third, the process of construction was ensured not by temporary selection of colors but by continuous approval of colors in consideration of the conditions of construction site through letter of approval of color at each stage and point of time. Fourth, coordination of various color elements of other fields including landscape, interior, and electricity ensured construction of the whole structure in one color concept. Fifth, color inspection through the mock up of the site will minimize erroneous construction and reconstruction and prevent decrease in productivity. Sixth, this study also suggested more comfortable and positive color environment through evaluation by experts and users. The researcher of this study expects that color experts actively participate in the stage of construction to contribute to improvement of the color environment.

This study identifies the current status of hanok design process and required design information through individual survey and interview with hanok architects and builders to suggest a proposal. Current design system turns out to be a common design process not reflecting hanok's unique mechanism of production. The proposal consists of the alternative design process, 'Initial survey / Site and structural planning / Spatial layout and form / Openings, interior and exterior elements design / Detail design', containing the specialty of hanok's mechanism, and the lists of design information required in its each stage. The proposed design process also emphasizes the significance of consultation in a way of designing coordination, and classifies the specific contents for each consultation moments. The study is expected to contribute for architects including the group who are not specialized in hanok to improve the architectural quality by following the systematic design process. Also the design system provides a framework to organize the vast range of design information being recently developed in the technique-oriented area.

Hanok is Korea's traditional housing, which is build detached unit. Most of the People who live in the environment of residential high-rise apartments likes new residential environment, and pursue eco-friendly homes, health homes, especially traditional Hanok was reassure potential. In urban context, resident think more compact land use in Hanok also, because Hanok is dissatified in compact land use, and it should be build as more economic aspect. The purpose of this study is to propose a typology which traditional Hanok also can be build higher land use and traditional values as a modern housing type; First of all, clustered Hanok is formed by traditional houses and interior spaces in modern house., and its types are configured by lifestyle of modern and image element of traditional Hanok. This kinds of clustering Hanok can be seen from historical city, but the trends is a minority of the housing type and form. Now, the modern clustering Hanok, even though handful of cases, appears as sustainable housing type, its possibilities as a new housing should be more detailed researches. A elements of Modern cluster Hanok discused in layout, plan, envelopment of house, structure, roofs, and the coordination of the element can be so much diverse.
