[ $FeCr_2Se_4$ ] prepared under the high pressure (3 GPa) has been studied with x-ray, neutron diffraction techniques, superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer, resistance, and Mossbauer spectroscopy. The temperature dependence of resistance is explained by Mott-VRH and small polaron model for the regions I (T<20 K) and II (T>42 K), respectively. Neutron diffraction results show an antiferromagnetic spin-lattice coupling near the Neel temperature. So finally the distance of atom is enlarged in region (110$FeCr_2Se_4$ shows convex type of temperature dependence.

Ad hoc sensor network is characterized by decentralized structure and ad hoc deployment. Sensor networks have all basic features of ad hoc network except different degrees such as lower mobility and more stringent energy requirements. Existing protocols provide different tradeoffs among some desirable characteristics such as fault tolerance, distributed computation, robustness, scalability and reliability. wireless protocols suggested so far are very limited, generally focusing on communication to a single base station or on aggregating sensor data. The main reason having such restrictions is due to maximum lifetime to maintain network activities. The network lifetime is an important design metric in ad hoc networks. Since every node does a router role, it is not possible for other nodes to communicate with each other if some nodes do not work due to energy lack. In this paper, we suggest an experimental ad-hoc on-demand distance vector routing protocol to optimize the communication of energy of the network nodes. The load distribution avoids the choice of exhausted nodes at the route selection phase, thus balances the use of energy among nodes and maximizing the network lifetime. In transmission control phase, there is a balance between the choice of a high transmission power that lead to increase in the range of signal transmission thus reducing the number of hops and lower power levels that reduces the interference on the expense of network connectivity.
Synthetic ferrimagnetic layer (SyFL) with structure NiFe/Ru/NiFe which can be applied high density TMR device in free layer were prepared by an inductively coupled plasma (ICP) helicon-sputter. We proposed a model of predicting coercivity (H$\_$c/), spin-flopping field (H$\_$sf/), and saturation field (H$\_$s/) as a function of Ru thicknesses, from the equilibrium state of energies of Zeeman, exchange, and uniaxial anisotropy. We fabricated the samples of Ta(50 ${\AA}$)/NiFe(50${\AA}$)nu(4∼20${\AA}$)NiFe(30 ${\AA}$)/Ta(50${\AA}$), and measured the M-H loops with a superconduction quantum interference device (SQUID) applying the external field up to ${\pm}$ 15 kOe. The result was well agreed with the proposed model, and reveal K$\_$u = 1000 erg/㎤, J$\_$ex/ =0.7 erg/$\textrm{cm}^2$. We report that H$\_$c/ below 10 Oe is available, and R$\_$u/ thickness range should be in 4-10 ${\AA}$ for MRAM application. Our result implies that permalloy layers may lead to considerable magnetostriction effect in SyFL and intermixing in NiFe/Ru interfaces.
The authors designed a new technique to measure dielectric constant of a soil media by Frequency Domain Reflectometry (FDR) system and its measurement sensor probe with different length such as 7m, 10cm and 15cm for estimating the variations of dielectric constant. Measurement of dielectric constant of soil material is possible to measure an interference wave generated by between incidence wave and reflection wave which are detected to electro-magnetic wave through the directional coupler at the high frequency range,0.1 to 1.7GHz, by FDR system. The obtained experimental results verified that the technique is very promising for non-destructive and continuous soil volumetric water content measurement monitoring in a laboratory. The relationship between the soil volumetric water content and the dielectric constant of soil media (standard sand) was expressed by a single regression ewe independent of soil texture at a small experimental error. Also the derived regression curve coincided well with that obtained by Topp curve.

The pollutant removal efficiencies of stormwater runoff by settling were analyzed using field samples collected in 4 different raining events in a test bed installed in the Gwanpyung-Cheon stream in Daejeon. A 1.8 m high with 30 cm diameter cylindrical settling device was used for the settling test by measuring concentration of TSS, TP and TN for time and height. The pollutants removal rate was relatively high in the first 4 hours while 24 hours seem to be necessary to reach steady state in pollutant concentrations. However, there were no considerable differences in concentrations for height at a given time. This indicates most of particulate pollutant in the test seems to show independent settling with no interference to each other. Much part of particle sizes were distributed in the range of $10{\sim}100{\mu}m$. Average particulate fractions of TP and TN were estimated as 52.4% and 23.5%, respectively. This results explain why TN is difficult to remove by simple settling. This study indicates that a simple settling can provide effective method to remove significant amount of TSS and TP effectively and this can be used to protect urban river water quality.
A technique for the determination of trace Cu(II) in various real samples by FAAS after the column preconcentration onto p-dichlorobenzene-SA adsorbent, which is microcrystalline p-dichlorobenzene loaded with salicylaldoxime (SA) has been developed. Several experimental conditions such as pH of the sample solution, the amount of chelating agent salicylaldoxime, the amount of adsorbent p-dichlorobenzene-SA, and flow rate of sample solution were optimized. The interfering effects of various concomitant ions were investigated. $CN^-$ interfered more seriously than any other ions. However, the interference by $1\;{\mu}g\;mL^{-1}\;CN^-$ could be overcome completely by controlling the concentration of Ni(II) to $20\;{\mu}g\;mL^{-1}$. The linear range, correlation coefficient ($R^2$) and detection limit obtained by this technique were $3.0\sim100\;ng\;mL^{-1}$, 0.9901, and $3.1\;ng\;mL^{-1}$, respectively. For validating this technique, the aqueous samples (wastewater, reservoir water and stream water) and the food samples (orange juice, fresh egg and skim milk) were used. Recovery yields of 93~104% were obtained. These measured mean values were not differents from ICP-MS data at 95% confidence level. The good results were obtained from the experiments using the rice flour certified reference material (CRM) sample. Based on the experimental results, it was found that this technique could be applied to the preconcentration and determination of Cu(II) for various real samples.
Field experiments were conducted to predict rice yield losses caused by Echinochloa crus-galli (L.)P. Beauv., Bidens frondosa L. and Aeschynomeme indica L. at a range of plant densities under machine transplanted rice cultivation in different regions of Korea in 2006, and to determine their economic threshold levels (ET). All data were fitted to Cousens' rectangular hyperbola to estimate parameters for predicting rice yield loss. The rice yield loss models of Bidens frondosa L. was predicted as y=5.43/(1+0.0113x), $R^2$=0.963, A. indica was y=5.47/(1+0.0332x), $R^2$=0.976 and E. crus-galli y=5.43/(1+0.01552x), $R^2$=0.950. The mean competitivities represented by the parameter, whose reciprocal ($1/{\beta}$) is a weed density reducing crop yield by 50%. Those of E. crus-galli, B. frondosa and A. indica were 0.01552, 0.01113 and 0.0332 in normal-season machine transplanting of Korea, respectively. Single year mean economic thresholds (ET) of A. indica were 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 plant $m^{-2}$ with the application of flucetosulfuron, flucetosulfuron+imazosulfuron GR and flucetosulfuron+imazosulfuron+carfentrazone GR herbicides, respectively. Meanwhile ET values of 1.6, 1.9 and 1.9 plants $m^{-2}$ for B. frondosa, 1.2, 1.4, and 1.4 plants $m^{-2}$ for E. crus-galli.
Basic research for the determination of boron content in biological sample has been carried out using the PGAA facility of the 24MW research reactor(HANARO). For investigation of characteristics for the measurement condition, neutron flux and its homogeneity were measured at irradiating geometry. The size of thermal neutron beam collimated from beam guide is $2{\times}2cm^2$ at the sample position. The neutron flux measured was the range of $1.0{\sim}6.5{\times}10^7n{\cdot}cm^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$, and flux distribution from center within the radius of 4.5 mm and 9.0 mm was $5.77{\pm}0.71{\times}10^7n{\cdot}cm^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ and $4.68{\pm}1.64{\times}10^7n{\cdot}cm^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$, respectively. Accordingly, sample size is adjusted within 10 mm for a homogeneous irradiation of high quality. Measurement system is designed to reduce the background source by Compton scattering and to improve the analytical sensitivity. To investigate the energy calibration and Compton suppression effect of gamma-ray counting system, the background conditions on both of Compton and single-mode were measured using NaCl standard. On the other hand, degree of spectral interference for sodium 472 keV peak as a matrix effect in the sample is established for an accurate boron analysis, and then boron content in three certified reference materials (NIST SRM 1570a, 1547, 1573a) was measured by using two modes and the results were compared with each other.
A rapid and sensitive reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method was developed for the determination of N-(-4-Chlorophenyl)-6-hydroxy-7-methoxy-2-chromanecarboxamide (KAL-1120), a novel anti-inflammation agent, in the rat plasma. The method was applied to analyze the compound in the biological fluids such as bile, urine and tissue homogenates. After liquid-liquid extraction, the compound was analyzed on an HPLC system with ultraviolet detection at 275 nm. HPLC was carried out using reversed-phase isocratic elution with a $C_{18}$ column, a mobile phase of a mixture of acetonitril (40 v/v%) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The chromatograms showed good resolution and sensitivity and no interference of plasma. The calibration curve for the drug in plasma was linear over the concentration range of 0.05-50 ${\mu}g$/mL. The intra- and inter-day assay accuracies of this method ranged from 0.06% to 9.33% of normal values and the precision did not exceed 6.28% of relative standard deviation. The plasma concentration of KAL-1120 decreased to below the quantifiable limit at 1.5 hr after the i.v. bolus administration of 2-10 mg/kg to rats ($t_{1/2,({\alpha})}$ and $t_{1/2,({\beta})$ of 2.15 and 26.7 min at a dose of 2 mg/kg, 3.91 and 33.0 min at a dose of 10 mg/kg, respectively). The steady-state volume of distribution ($V_{dss}$) and the total body clearance ($CL_t$) were not significantly altered in rats given doses from 2 to 10 mg/kg. Of the various tissues tested, KAL-1120 was mainly distributed in the lung and heart after i.v. bolus administration. KAL-1120 was detected in the bile by 30 min after its i.v. bolus administration. However, the concentration in the urine after i.v. bolus administration became too low to measure, suggesting that KAL-1120 is mostly excreted in the bile. In conclusion, this analytical method was suitable for the preclinical pharmacokinetic studies of KAL-1120 in rats.
This paper presents and analyzes laboratory test results of Equalization Digital On-Channel Repeater (EDOCR) using ATSC(Advanced Television Systems Committee) terrestrial digital TV broadcasting system. The EDOCR laboratory test, which is done at CRC(Communications Research Centre) Canada, is classified to receiver test, transmitter test, and synchronization test between transmission and reception frequencies. The receiver part includes feedback signal, random noise, single echo, multi-path ensemble, and NTSC/DTV interference test. The transmitter part includes out-of channel emission, quality of transmitting signal, and phase noise test. By the field test results, the receiver part of the EDOCR eliminates average 5.5 dB of feedback or single echo signal in range of 0 to 11 ${\mu}s$ and has average 18.6 dB at TOV(Threshold of Visibility) under random noise environment. Also, the transmitter part of the EDOCR satisfies the specification of US FCC(Federal Communications Commission), and frequency difference between transmitter and receiver is zero.
