Objectives : The new health technology assessment system was introduced in April 2007. The purpose of new health technology assessment is assessing safety and efficacy in deciding a behavior of new health technology according to the Health Insurance Act. This study aims to understand the present status of new health technologies of Korean medicine. Methods : This research introduces new health technologies and their present status, and searches for a development direction for the new health technology of Korean medicine in the future. Results : Thirty seven cases(3%) of Korean medicine doctors who utilized new health technologies application were found. In the status about new health technologies application by technologies assortment, diagnostic test techniques were used more often than treatment skills. New medical technology that included korean medicine doctor as actual user was only one item, i.e. HCV antibody test. Conclusions : In order for the new health technology of korean medicine to settle down well, continuous interest and efforts of both government and medical community are necessary.

There has been increasing interest in recent years in the pedagogical importance of counter-examples that focuses on pedagogical perspectives. But there is no research that undergraduate students' generating counter-examples and proposing the true statements. This study analyze 6 undergraduate students' response to interview tasks and the process of their generating counter-examples and proposing true statements. The results of interviews are that the more undergraduate students generate various counter-examples, the more valid they propose true statements. If undergraduate students have invalid understanding of logical implication and generate only one counter-example, they would not propose true statements that modify the given statement, preserving the antecedent. In pre-service teacher's education and school mathematics class, we need to develop materials and textbooks about counter-examples and false statements.

Especially in visual art architecture, painting and sculpture, the rational spirit of Renaissance actually and distinctly communicates the meaning of Work through the scientific and mathematical expression after a finding Perspective by Brunelleschi. So the puropse of this study is to clarify the substancial meaning of Renaissance Art by investigating the expression applied Perspective to the works of Brunelleschi's architecture, Donatello's sculpture and Masaccio's painting.

Objectives : Nowadays, the assessment of new health technologies is gaining interest as an important issue for the safety of national health in the rapidly changing medical environment. The aim of this study is to understand how ignorant the korean medicine doctors are of new health technologies. Methods : The authors conducted a survey on the status of the ignorance of new health technologies in Korean medical doctors by e-mail. Results : Korean medical doctors' ignorance of new health technologies proved serious. The awareness of the law, however, was reached to some degree. The respondents answered that the present items of Korean Medicine listed in the medical care expenses by national health insurance system are too deficient to treat their patients effectively. Conclusions : It is strongly needed to try for more active registration of Korean medical new health technologies.

We propose a semi-automatic and dynamic indexing algorithm for multi-media database(e.g. movie files, audio files), which are difficult to create indexes expressing their emotional or abstract contents, according to user's sensitivity by using user's histories of access to database. In this algorithm, we simply categorize data at first, create a vector space of each user's interest(user model) from the history of which categories the data belong to, and create vector space of each data(title model) from the history of which users the data had been accessed from. By continuing the above method, we could create suitable indexes, which show emotional content of each data. In this paper, we define the recurrence formulas based on the proposed algorithm. We also show the effectiveness of the algorithm by simulation result.

Feature-based modeling and history-based modeling are the two main paradigms that are used in most of current CAD systems. Although these modeling paradigms make it easier for designers to create solid model, it may pose dependency constraints on features that are interacting one with another. When editing such features, these constraints often cause unpredictable and unacceptable results. For example, when a parent feature is deleted, the child features of the parent feature are also deleted. This entails re-generations of the deleted features, which requires additional modeling time. In order to complement this situation, we propose a method to delete only the features of interest by disconnecting the dependency constraints. This method can provide designers with more efficient way of model modification.

The purpose of this paper is to find out the identity and succession of traditional Hanok villages by analyzing the location, layout, and spatial organization of neo-Hanok Village, which was built in Korea. So far, neo-Hanok Village has not prepared a specific institutional mechanism despite the government's support and growing public interest. In addition, the purpose of neo-Hanok Village has not been verified, even though it was built all over the country for the purpose of the dignity and succession of the traditional Hanok Village. This study examines how the spatial organization elements of the traditional Hanok Village are planned according to the design principles of the old literature and applies them to the neo-Hanok Village to determine the succession of the traditional Hanok Village.

Objectives : As the number of patient with dementia increases, interest in mild cognitive impairment (MCI), which is a pre-dementia stage, has been expanding. In this study, we investigated the effects from selected clinical research articles to evaluate the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions. Methods : We searched MCI related articles on MEDLINE and the Web of Science using keywords related to MCI. We selected 26 articles, and 13 evaluated efficiency using the Jadad score. Results : Physical exercise and cognitive remediation techniques were effective for improving MCI. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, taichi, and music belonged to "perhaps" effectiveness group. Many of the 13 articles that evaluated MCI using the Jadad score evaluated them as "good" or "poor", and only three articles evaluated MCI as "excellent". Conclusions : The present evidence suggests that cognitive remediation techniques to improve memory and physical exercise were effective for people with MCI. However, further studies are needed to identify the physical exercise effects.

The first part of the paper concerneded about the history, meaning and function of the aromatherapy. And the next part is about the therapeutic effects by the inhalation fragrance or permeation of essential oil through the skin, which are all based on the recent experiments. Today, the aromatherapy is public interest in the world. And also many cosmetic companies have been making use of the aromatherapy as the concept of their new products. But any Korean manufacturer has not taken the application of the aromatherapy in the cosmetics. Why we can't do this. Therfore I try to explain this problem at the last part of the paper and also introduce some Aromatherapy products.

This paper is an attempt to examine historical drama which change rapidly in the manner of seeing history. Historical records are treated differently unlike in the field of modern history. Now the distinction between historical facts and fictions becomes no longer important. This change is affected by micro history, new cultural history, or post-modern history. History and narrative become interactive each other. In this respect they are no more historical drama. by Han Areum (director Suh Jae-hyung) represents this new trends. Of course, it doesn't suddenly pop up in 2005. It began in by Lee Yoon-Taek, was reinforced in by Kim Tae-Woong, and bloomed in . I intended to search important features of by following three. First is the interest about unimportant persons such as a maid of honor, an eunuch. In , they are the main characters. The author described much about those trivial people revealing the truth in different way of the existence. Second is the way of calling a past. In this piece, the past is not continuous. The past always appears at the stage by the present in the form of split which is imagination, recollection, revival. Third is a mixing genre. Comics, melodrama, and thrillers are all together in . This is a similar phenomenon to historical novel and movie of new trend. Strictly speaking, this piece isn't a history thriller. The accident of lost prince doesn't be treated importantly and the result isn't clear either. In this piece, detective genre is used for a symbol showing that writer pursuits the history, not the event. This represents well the characters of new historical drama because how historical facts are carefully recreated and constructed are important. It's enough to show the possibility to mix genre through comics and melodrama.
