This article explores the potentials of the application of organization theories to nursing research on health care organizations in Korea. The critical review of the literature reveals that the important topics on organizations in health services research have been also dealt with by nursing researchers. Notwithstanding this theoretical closeness between the two fields, some issues remain: the paucity of attention to 'level issue', which requires to increase the attempts at 'meso-' or 'macro-' analysis on nurses' behavior in organizations; the need for theoretical frameworks specifying organizational factors relating to nursing processes; the necessity of interdisciplinary approaches to bridge the recent developments of organizational study and nursing research. This article finishes with a few of research agendas for future research to fill these gaps.

Deregulation is not a matter or problem to be resolved simply by revising a law or a system in a short period of time. Rather, it should be implemented at a steady pace on the basis of a full understanding of the relationships between government regulation and the government's role, taking into account the inherent functions of the market. Moreover, arguments about government regulation and its deregulation vary according to viewpoints and approaches on the part of parties concerned. This makes it more difficult to form a consensus or reach a conclusion in recognizing and resolving the basis of problems at issue. This paper aims to review the shipping industry deregulation of major countries, to analyze Korea's situation and problems of shipping regulation, and to suggest it's improving methods. Although government regulation is a sensitive policy issue, this paper remains relatively at the basic research. Regulation problems should be tackled by interdisciplinary approach. A specific approach in regulation study could not explain exactly the causes and results of government policy

In recent years, advancing technology and growing interest in neuromarketing and neurobranding have led to foundational research that facilitates a better understanding of consumers' affective responses and unconscious information processing. However, the areas of aesthetics and design have remained largely unaffected by such advances and implications. The purpose of this study is to present a systematic review of the neuroscientific evidence aimed at sensible design for design and marketing researchers interested in exploring neuroaesthetics, an interdisciplinary area by nature. Sciencedirect, EBSCO, and the Google Scholar database were searched in February 2014 to select and review previous studies of aesthetics involving neuroscience. Twenty-eight studies were reviewed and divided into two categories: reward system and emotion. In addition to discussions on previous approaches, future research directions focusing on the process of aesthetic judgments (e.g., design elements, marketing stimuli) are proposed.

The plant breeding, a discipline of agricultural sciences, has greatly contributed to huan welfare in relieving food crisis by development of higher yielding, stronger resistant and better quality varieties. However, many conventional plant breeders, especially ones working for major crops, are facing exhaustion of useful genetic variability, which greatly limit the potentional of developing better cultivars. Therefore, the convectional plant breeders have been eagerly looking for new renovational methods in creating genetic varibility. It has been expected that biotechnology would provide the technique to create totally new genetic variability through gene transfer, chromosome manipulation and/or cell fusion. It is strongly suggested that very close interdisciplinary approaches between convectionla plant breeders and biotechnoligists is essentional for opening new era in developing better varieties.

European integration is characterized by the development of a transnational European identity, which is considered an integral part of the process. Northeast Asia has no similar projects to address the common identity issue, although cooperation is highly valued there as well. Identity and cooperation both require interdisciplinary approaches combining social psychology, international relations theory and international economics. This article considers the problems of applying existing studies on cooperation and identity as well as the European experience (with the Baltic Sea example) to the case of Northeast Asia. Transnational identities promote cooperation beyond the limits of rationalistic game theory, if countries of the region can define their identities and interests, commit to common goals, create shared discourses and reach a balance between nationalism and internationalism. In view of proposed negotiations on the free trade area between China, Korea and Japan and ongoing discussions about a possibility of introducing a common currency (ACU) it can be crucial to consider the importance of identity building as early as possible, before regional integration meets a stumbling block of egoistic rationality that is a problem in any model of cooperation.

Typical weathering landforms and phenomena including tafoni and gnamma are usually interpreted as man-made alteo (praying water bowl) or dragon-alteo by folklore researchers. Despite some terminological ambiguity, they are certainly natural weathering pits and are introduced in our discipline for fifty years, however, unfortunately most of them are interpreted as petroglyphs used and prepared for ritual ceremony. Several seemingly artificially-made rock holes are also found in many places, but most of them are weathered landforms by salt weathering. Author believes that communication effort to use common language and publish more researches in interdisciplinary journals are very essential to propagate scientific achievements made by geomorphologists to other discipline. Also geomorphologists specialized in weathering processes are encouraged to participate in preservation of stone artifacts and archaeological remains.

Area Studies, by definition, conjure ideas of emplaced knowledge; in-depth interdisciplinary understanding of language, history, culture and politics of a nation or region. Where detractors might see this approach as overly empirical, therefore precluding theoretical sophistication, others argue that "places" are either artificially constructed, or that processes of globalisation have obliterated the cultural zone. But what if we turn an ethnographic eye to those very processes and technologies themselves? Can Area Studies take to the air, and if so, what are the attendant challenges and benefits? Based on insights from ethnography amongst airline customer service workers, ground and cabin crews in Thailand and Myanmar, this research examines the airline cabin as a field for ethnographic study, and as an emplaced site for political and cultural processes. With participant observation-based knowledge of Southeast Asian cabin crews, this paper examines the 1990 hijack of Thai Airways TG 305 from an emplaced cultural perspective.

Tinnitus is a prevalent disorder that has no cure currently. Within the last two decades, neuroscientific research has facilitated a better understanding of the pathophysiological mechanisms that underlie the generation and maintenance of tinnitus, and the brain and nerves have been identified as potential targets for its treatment using non-invasive brain stimulation methods. This article reviews studies on tinnitus patients using transcranial magnetic stimulation, transcranial electrical stimulation, such as transcranial direct current stimulation, alternating current stimulation, transcranial random noise stimulation as well as transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation and bimodal combined auditory and somatosensory stimulation. Although none of these approaches has demonstrated effects that would justify its use in routine treatment, the studies have provided important insights into tinnitus pathophysiology. Moreover bimodal stimulation, which has only been developed recently, has shown promising results in pilot trials and is a candidate for further development into a valuable treatment procedure.
