The ALCYONE multidimensional fuel performance code codeveloped by the CEA, EDF, and AREVA NP within the PLEIADES software environment models the behavior of fuel rods during irradiation in commercial pressurized water reactors (PWRs), power ramps in experimental reactors, or accidental conditions such as loss of coolant accidents or reactivity-initiated accidents (RIAs). As regards the latter case of transient in particular, ALCYONE is intended to predictively simulate the response of a fuel rod by taking account of mechanisms in a way that models the physics as closely as possible, encompassing all possible stages of the transient as well as various fuel/cladding material types and irradiation conditions of interest. On the way to complying with these objectives, ALCYONE development and validation shall include tests on $PWR-UO_2$ fuel rods with advanced claddings such as M5(R) under "low pressure-low temperature" or "high pressure-high temperature" water coolant conditions. This article first presents ALCYONE V1.4 RIA-related features and modeling. It especially focuses on recent developments dedicated on the one hand to nonsteady water heat and mass transport and on the other hand to the modeling of grain boundary cracking-induced fission gas release and swelling. This article then compares some simulations of RIA transients performed on $UO_2$-M5(R) fuel rods in flowing sodium or stagnant water coolant conditions to the relevant experimental results gained from tests performed in either the French CABRI or the Japanese NSRR nuclear transient reactor facilities. It shows in particular to what extent ALCYONE-starting from base irradiation conditions it itself computes-is currently able to handle both the first stage of the transient, namely the pellet-cladding mechanical interaction phase, and the second stage of the transient, should a boiling crisis occur. Areas of improvement are finally discussed with a view to simulating and analyzing further tests to be performed under prototypical PWR conditions within the CABRI International Program. M5(R) is a trademark or a registered trademark of AREVA NP in the USA or other countries.
Abstract An effective ATM management must address the various features of ATM such as connection-oriented environment, varying class of service, large scale traffic, virtual network configurations and, and multiple traffic types. For this, ATM network management reference model defined by ATM Forum describes the various types of network management needed to support ATM devices, private networks, public networks, and the interaction between them. One of these types is Integrated Local Management Interface (ILMI) defined to manage interconnected interface through SNMP-based network management protocol for ensuring the interoperability of ATM devices from different vendors. The purpose of ILMI is to enable two adjacent ATM devices to automatically configure the operation parameters of the common ATM link between them and then to provide a Plug and Plug function to any ATM devices with not a passive configuration by manager but a automatic configuration. This paper design and implement a Subscriber Interface Management System (SIMS) which provide automatic registration and management of ATM address of subscriber system and efficiently manages physical interface of subscriber who is connected to public ATM switch, ATM layer interface, configuration information and status information of VPC and VCC.
The characteristics of the Asian summer monsoon have been investigated for the periods of 1993/1994, the contrasting years in a view of the summer monsoon precipitation. In order to investigate the monsoon features over the eastern Asian monsoon region, the cloudiness(using the extensive data derived by the geostationary meteorological satellite), the condition of underlying surface including sea-surface temperature, and the summer rainfall are analyzed and some comparisons with 1993 and 1994 are also made and the characteristic differences are discussed. An analysis of the 2-degree latitude-longitude gridded 5-day mean high cloud amount data shows the detailed movement and persistence of the convective activities. In order to describe the spatial and temporal structures of the intraseasonal oscillation for the movement and evolution of the monsoon cloud, the extended empirical orthogonal fnction analysis with the twenty-day window size is used for the each year. Also, in order to find out the periodicity of the equatorial convective cluster, Fourier harmonic analysis is applied to the each year. The most prevailing intraseasonal oscillations of high cloud amount are 61 day mode and 15day mode in the equatorial and the subtropical oceans. However it was found that the most prevailing modes over the equatorial western Pacific and Indian Ocean were different for each year, hence raising the possibillity that the contrasting monsoon presipitation may be more fundamentally related to the interaction of intraseasonal oscillations and seasonal variation of convective activities over the lower latitude ocean.

In the current work, a series of three-dimensional finite element analyses were carried out to understand the behaviour of a pre-existing single pile to the changes of the tunnel face pressures when a shield TBM tunnel passes underneath the pile. The numerical modelling analysed the results by considering various face pressures (25~100% of the in-situ horizontal stress prior to tunnelling at the tunnel springline). In the numerical modelling, several key issues, such as the pile settlements, the axial pile forces, the shear stresses have been thoroughly analysed for different face pressures. The head settlements of the pile with the maximum face pressure decreased by about 44% compared to corresponding settlement with the minimum face pressure. Furthermore, the maximum axial force of the pile developed with the minimum face pressure. The tunnelling-induced axial pile force at the minimum face pressure was found to be about 21% larger than that with the maximum face pressure. It has been found that the ground settlements and the pile settlements are heavily affected by the face pressures. In addition, the influence of the piles and the ground was analysed by considering characteristics of the soil deformations. Also, the apparent safety factor of the piles are substantially reduced for all the analyses conducted in the current simulation, resulting in severe effects on the adjacent piles. Therefore, the behaviour of the piles, according to change the face pressures, has been extensively examined and analysed by considering the key features in great details.

Should a startup file for a patent subject to imitation in its quest to attract venture capital(VC) investors? Considering the US pharmaceutical biotechnology industry context, this paper attempts to answer this question by investigating the relations between the number of applied patents of startups, patent imitability, and the total amount of money the startups received as their first VC funding round. Data of 157 US-based pharmaceutical biotechnology startups founded in between 1995 and 2005 are analyzed. Empirical results from this study show that the number of applied patents is positively related to the total amount of money received at the time of the first funding round, and patent imitability is negatively related to the total amount of money received as first VC funding round. Nonetheless, the interaction term between the number of applied patents of startups and patent imitability came out as positive, raising interesting questions and implications for innovation-oriented startup entrepreneurs. The current study's empirical findings suggest that, in the pharmaceutical biotechnology sector, VC investors pay attention to the quantity and quality of the patents possessed by startups when they decide the level of funding. In particular, imitability of applied patents may not be a one-sided concept related to negative features such as the weak protectability of an invention. Rather, patent imitability may be a multi-facet element which also contains positive attractiveness of the startup's invention. Furthermore, it seems that the positive side of imitability can be augmented by the number of applied patents.
This article aims to develop various cultural contents from Sam-guk Sokakgasa(korean folksongs in ancient times) through analyzing features of it with narrative structures and discourse forms of Seymour Chatman. Rhythms and rhymes of the Sam-guk Sokakgasa hardly exist, only brief stories about the origins of songs are present. However, with interactions of current cultual contents, a brandnew cultural content can be developed from Sam-guk Sokakgasa through creative modification. In this view, narrative structures of Sam-guk Sokakgasa was analyzed using Seymour Chatman's method. Through this analysis, it can be concluded that Sam-guk Sokakgasa has complete narrative structures, thus can be developed into new cultural contents by media interaction. And it can be also said that in cases which Sam-guk Sokakgasa has weak narrative structure, if its narrative structure has enough universality, it also can be developed as cultural contents.
Fertilization is the beginning of a new life that occurs in the female uterine. The female reproductive tract is composed ovary, oviduct, uterine, vagina and cervix, their physiological features are regulated by estrous cycle. Of these, uterine is a main point to establish embryo development and implantation, and intercommunication between embryo and uterine environment is necessary for suitable pregnancy. Endometrium is part of the uterine, its morphology is repetitively changed by hormones, and characteristic of uterine fluid from endometrium is also changed. Recently, massive proteins of endometrium and uterine fluid can be detected according to develop proteomics and bioinformatics and have been accelerated the understanding of the reproductive biology fields. Moreover, the massive protein information is actively studying with deeply studied theory such as sex hormone signal pathway and angiogenesis in mammals. In this paper, we review understanding of endometrium remodeling, uterine gland and fluid during estrous cycle, additionally studies on endometrium and uterine fluid based on proteomics techniques. Lastly, we introduced methods of the protein-protein correlation using bioinformatics tool that interaction with hormone receptors, representative angiogenetic factors and detected proteins using proteomics in endometrium and uterine fluid. The Internet including mobile networks is developing to overcoming the limitation of physical distance and providing or acquiring information from remote locations. However, the systems that use video as primary information require higher bandwidth for recognizing the situation in remote places more accurately through high-quality video as well as lower latency for faster interaction between devices and users. The emergence of the 5th generation mobile network provides features such as high bandwidth and precise location recognition that were not experienced in previous-generation technologies. In addition, the Mobile Edge Computing that minimizes network latency in the mobile network requires a change in the traditional system architecture that was composed of the existing smart device and high availability server system. However, even with 5G and MEC, since there is a limit to overcome the mobile network state fluctuations only by enhancing the network infrastructure, this study proposes a high-definition video streaming system in ultra-low latency based on the SRT protocol that provides Forward Error Correction and Fast Retransmission. The proposed system shows how to deploy software components that are developed in consideration of the nature of 5G and MEC to achieve sub-1 second latency for 4K real-time video streaming. In the last of this paper, we analyze the most significant factor in the entire video transmission process to achieve the lowest possible latency.

This paper presents a deep learning based group synchronization that supports networked immersive interactions between remote users. The goal of group synchronization is to enable all participants to synchronously interact with others for increasing user presence Most previous methods focus on NTP-based clock synchronization to enhance time accuracy. Moving average filters are used to control media playout time on the synchronization server. As an example, the exponentially weighted moving average(EWMA) would be able to track and estimate accurate playout time if the changes in input data are not significant. However it needs more time to be stable for any given change over time due to codec and system loads or fluctuations in network status. To tackle this problem, this work proposes the Deep Group Synchronization(DeepGroupSync), a group synchronization based on deep learning that models important features from the data. This model consists of two Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU) layers and one fully-connected layer, which predicts an optimal playout time by utilizing the sequential playout delays. The experiments are conducted with an existing method that uses the EWMA and the proposed method that uses the DeepGroupSync. The results show that the proposed method are more robust against unpredictable or rapid network condition changes than the existing method.

The end of the 20th century, along with the popularity of new media technology and the rise of new media art, dance as a visual art, and body language art, has the features of more and more rich and changeful. In today's Internet booming new media environment, many different fields, such as film and theater, computer technology, digital art, etc.) with its commonness and characteristics of all kinds of interaction between the creation, produced a new interdisciplinary research with theoretical model. When cross-border interactions between various areas become a hot topic at the same time, the traditional form of dance performances are also seeking new breakthrough. Canada's famous social psychologist McLuhan believes that modern is retrieving lost over a long period of time "overall" feel, return to a feeling of equilibrium. The audience how to have the characteristics of focus on details of visual art back to the "overall" feel worthy of study. At the same time, the new media in today's digital dance teaching in colleges and universities dancing education remains to be perfect and popular, if continue to use the precept of the traditional teaching way blindly, so it is difficult to get from the development of the current domestic dance overall demand. In this paper, the main body is divided into two parts, the first chapter is the study of image device dance performance art, the second chapter is the research of digital dance teaching application system, thus further perspective of media technology to explore dance art crossover practice under the new media environment and mode of transmission.
