Gas turbine engine simulation in terms of transient, steady state performance and operational characteristics is complex work at the various engineering functions of aero engine manufacturers. Especially, efficiency of control system design and development in terms of cost, development period and technical relevance implies controlling diverse simulation and identification activities. The previous engine simulation has been accomplished within a limited analysis area such as fan, compressor, combustor, turbine, controller, etc. and this has resulted in improper engine performance and control characteristics because of limited interaction between analysis areas. In this paper, we propose a new simulation methodology for gas turbine engine performance analysis as well as its digital controller to solve difficulties as mentioned above. The novel method has particularities of (ⅰ) resulting in the integrated control simulation using almost every component/module analysis, (ⅱ) providing automated math model generation process of engine itself, various engine subsystems and control compensators/regulators, (ⅲ) presenting total sophisticated output results and easy understandable graphic display for a final user. We call this simulation system GT3GS (Gas Turbine 3D Graphic Simulator). GT3GS was built on both software and hardware technology for total simulation capable of high calculation flexibility as well as interface with real engine controller. All components in the simulator were implemented using COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) modules. In addition, described here includes GT3GS main features and future works for better gas turbine engine simulation.

For the future prosperity of any society, the sound growth of children is essential. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurobehavioral disorder which has an impact on social interaction of autistic child and has an undesirable effect on his learning, speaking, and responding skills. These children have over or under sensitivity issues of touching, smelling, and hearing. Its symptoms usually appear in the child of 4- to 11-year-old but parents did not pay attention to it and could not detect it at early stages. The process to diagnose in recent time is clinical sessions that are very time consuming and expensive. To complement the conventional method, machine learning techniques are being used. In this way, it improves the required time and precision for diagnosis. We have applied TFLite model on image based dataset to predict the autism based on facial features of child. Afterwards, various machine learning techniques were trained that includes Logistic Regression, KNN, Gaussian Naïve Bayes, Random Forest and Multi-Layer Perceptron using Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) dataset to improve the accuracy of the ASD detection. On image based dataset, TFLite model shows 80% accuracy and based on AQ dataset, we have achieved 100% accuracy from Logistic Regression and MLP models.
As implied by the zodiacal light and spacecraft impact measurements, the space between large bodies in our Solar System is filled with interplanetary dust particles (IDPs). IDPs give us deeper insight into the composition and evolution of the Solar System, as well as being a crucial reference for extrasolar research. IDPs can be interpreted as bearers of carbon and organic materials, and thus, their interaction with Earth can be considered as important factors for the birth of terrestrial life. One of the key routes of IDPs entering Earth is via meteoroid streams (Love and Brownlee 1993). The Geminid meteoroid stream is a notable example. Together with its source asteroid (3200) Phaethon, the Phaethon-Geminid stream complex (PGC) (Whipple 1983; Gustafson 1989) can potentially provide information on the properties and evolution of IDPs in near-Earth space. DESTINY+* is a JAXA/ISAS spacecraft planned to launch in 2024 to explore the physical and chemical features of near-Earth IDPs and uncover the dust ejection mechanism of active near-Earth asteroids, especially Phaethon (Arai et al. 2018). Previous studies on the dust ejection mechanism of Phaethon have various degrees of success in explaining the ejection of submillimeter particles and try to recreate the dust replenishment rate of the Geminid stream. However, none of them are satisfactory for explaining the observed Geminid stream, especially for larger particles of a millimeter and centimeter scales. Inspired by the discovery of rotational mass shedding in the Main Belt region (Jewitt et al., 2014), we investigate a dust ejection scenario by rotational instability on Phaethon. Using the N-body integrator MERCURY6 (Chambers 1999; modified by Jeong 2014), we performed a long-term integration of dust particles of various sizes ejected at ~1 m/s. Through this process, we discuss the implications Phaethon's rotation may have on its ejection, the formation and evolution of IDP by this mechanism, and contribute to the DESTINY+ mission.
Despite the significant features of fiber-reinforced cementitious composites (FRCCs), including better mechanical, fractural, and durability performance, their high content of cement has restricted their use in the construction industry. Although ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) is considered the main supplementary cementitious material, its slow pozzolanic reaction stands against its application. The addition of nano-sized mineral modifiers, including nano-silica (NS), is an alternative to address the drawbacks of using GGBFS. The main object of this empirical and numerical research is to examine the effect of NS on the strain-hardening behavior of cementitious composites; ten mixes were designed, and five levels of NS were considered. This study proposes a new method, using a four-point bending test to assess the use of nano-silica (NS) on the flexural behavior, first cracking strength, fracture energy, and micromechanical parameters including interfacial friction bond strength and maximum bridging stress. Digital image correlation (DIC) was used for monitoring the initiation and propagation of the cracks. In addition, to attain a deep comprehension of fiber/matrix interaction, scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis was used. It was discovered that using nano-silica (NS) in cementitious materials results in an enhancement in the matrix toughness, which prevents multiple cracking and, therefore, strain-hardening. In addition, adding NS enhanced the interfacial transition zone between matrix and fiber, leading to a higher interfacial friction bond strength, which helps multiple cracking in the composite due to the hydrophobic nature of polypropylene (PP) fibers. The findings of this research provide insight into finding the optimum percent of NS in which both ductility and high tensile strength of the composites would be satisfied. As a concluding remark, a new criterion is proposed, showing that the optimum value of nano-silica is 2%. The findings and proposed method of this study can facilitate the design and utilization of green cementitious composites in structures.

In this paper, a novel visual tracking method which can utilize the context of object regions is presented. Conventional methods have the inherent problem of treating all candidate regions independently, where the tracker could not successfully discriminate regions with similar appearances. This was due to lack of contextual modeling in a given scene, where all candidate object regions should be taken into consideration when choosing a single region. The goal of the proposed method is to encourage feature exchange between candidate regions to improve the discriminability between similar regions. It improves upon conventional methods that only consider a single region, and is implemented by employing the MLP-Mixer model for enhanced feature exchange between regions. By implementing channel-wise, inter-region interaction operation between candidate features, contextual information of regions can be embedded into the individual feature representations. To evaluate the performance of the proposed tracker, the large-scale LaSOT dataset is used, and the experimental results show a competitive AUC performance of 0.560 while running at a real-time speed of 65 fps.
VR is a dynamic image simulation technology with very high information density. Among them, spatial depth, temporality, and realism bring an unprecedented sense of immersion to the experience. However, due to its high information density, the information contained in it is very easy to be manipulated, creating an illusion of objectivity. Users need guidance to help them interpret the high density of dynamic image information. Just like setting up navigation interfaces and interactivity in games, interactivity in virtual reality is a way to interpret virtual content. At present, domestic research on VR content is mainly focused on technology exploration and visual aesthetic experience. However, there is still a lack of research on interactive storytelling design, which is an important part of VR content creation. In order to explore a better interactive storytelling model in virtual reality content, this paper analyzes the interactive storytelling features of the VR animated version of <Wolves in the walls> through the methods of literature review and case study. We find that the following rules can be followed when creating VR content: 1. the VR environment should fully utilize the advantages of free movement for users, and users should not be viewed as mere observers. The user's sense of presence should be fully considered when designing interaction modules. Break down the "fourth wall" to encourage audience interaction in the virtual reality environment, and make the hot media of VR "cool". 2.Provide developer-driven narrative in the early stages of the work so that users are not confused about the ambiguous world situation when they first enter a virtual environment with a high degree of freedom. 1.Unlike some games that guide users through text, you can guide them through a more natural interactive approach that adds natural dialog between the user and story characters (NPC). Also, since gaze guidance is an important part of story progression, you should set up spatial scene user gaze guidance elements within it. For example, you can provide eye-following cues, motion cues, language cues, and more. By analyzing the interactive storytelling features and innovations of the VR animation <Wolves in the walls>, I hope to summarize the main elements of interactive storytelling from its content. Based on this, I hope to explore how to better showcase interactive storytelling in virtual reality content and provide thoughts on future VR content creation.
Cretaceous intrusive and extrusive rocks in the southwestern part of the Yeongnam Massif are possibly the result of intensive magmatism which occurred in response to subduction of the Pacific plate beneath the northeast portion of the Eurasian plate. Geochemical and petrological study on the granitic rocks were carried out in order to constrain the petrogenesis of the granitic magma and to establish the paleotectonic environment of the area. Whole rock chemical data of the granitic rocks from the study area indicate that all the rocks have characteristics of calc-alkaline series in the subalkaline field. The overall geochemical features show systematic variations in each granitic body, but the source materials of each granitic body are thought to have been different in their chemical composition. The granodiorites distributed around Donggyori in the Bognae area (DGd) are different from other granitic rocks within the study area in the contents and differentiation trends of $Al_2O_3$ and MgO as well as in the contents of the trace elements such as Ba, Sr, Pb, Ni, Cr and Y DGd have geochemical features similar to slab-derived adakites such as high $Al_2O_3$, Sr contents and high Sr/Y, La/Yb ratios, but low Y and Yb contents. The major and trace element contents of the DGd fall well within the adakitic field, whereas other Cretaceous granites in the study area are plotted in the island arc ADR area in Sr/Y vs. Y diagram. On the ANK vs. A/CNK and tectonic discrimination diagrams, parental magma type of the granites corresponds to I-type and volcanic arc granite (VAG). Interpretations of the chemical characteristics of the granitic rocks favor their emplacement in a compressional tectonic regime at continental margin during the subduction of Pacific plate. The geochemical and tectonic features reveal that adakite-like signatures of the DGd were generated by the interaction of mantle peridotite and subducted slab-derived adakitic melts (caused by the thermal effect of ridge subduction), and which slightly modified by crustal contamination during emplacement.
This research aims to explore the associated linguistic features and functions of Chinese as used for business trading purposes, and which is based on a discourse analysis through a case in which a Korean buyer and a Chinese supplier have exchanged Internet based e-mails. The research questions include first, the linguistic functions and characteristics of Chinese shown as identified in this trade case through e-mails, second, the use of Chinese trade specific terms, and third, the apparent and dynamic negotiation strategies that are identified as followed by the cultural value systems which are used for resolving interest conflicts and issues between the buyer and supplier in the course of negotiating business contracts between two parties. The participants of this research pertain to a Korean buyer, James and a Chinese supplier, Sonya. The associated data consists of 74 e-mails exchanged between the two parties, initiated in an effort to begin and complete a trade item, in this case namely the product of napkin holders. The research for the study is based on the discourse analysis and empirically analyses models of Chinese linguistic functions and features. The findings are the following. First, as identified, the specific Chinese functions used and sequenced in this trade case are of a procedure, request, informing, negotiation and persuasion. Second, the essential trade terms used in this business interaction involve the relevant issues of 1) ordering and price negotiating, 2) marking the origin of the products, 3) the arrangement of the product examination and customs declaration for the anticipated import items, 4) preparation of the necessary legal documents, and 5) the package and transport of the product in the final instance. Third, the impact of the similarities and differences in the cultural value systems between Korea and China on the negotiations and conflict resolution during a negotiated contract between two parties are speculated in terms of the use of culturally based techniques such as face-saving and the utilization of uncertainty-avoiding strategies as meant to prevent misunderstandings from developing between the parties. The concluding part of the study discusses the implications for a practical Chinese language education utilizing the linguistic functions and features of the Chinese culture and language strategies as useful in business associations for trading purposes, and the importance of intercultural communication styles based on similar of different identified cultural values as noted between two parties.
Magnetism of molecular nanomagnet, which attracted a lot of academic attention after the discovery of the macroscopic quantum tunneling of magnetism, is reviewed. Molecular nanomagnet is metal-organic material in which magnetic ions are regularly located in the organic skeleton. Also, the interaction between the molecules is very small and those molecules form macroscopic molecular crystal in which molecules are residing at the element points in the crystal. Molecular nanomagnets show a lot of interesting features, especially, equivalence of macroscopic magnetic properties and molecular magnetic properties. In this paper, research results on molecular nanomagnet with microscopic tool like NMR are reviewed mainly. The new method to observe the quantum tunneling of magnetization discovered in Mnl2-ac with NMR is shown and the research results on the microscopic aspects of the macroscopic quantum tunneling of magnetization using the new method are shown. Also, the physical aspect of the level crossing effect which has been reported originally with NMR in molecular nanomagnet is reviewed with experiment results. The research results on the molecular nanomagnets will reveal the important information about the limit of the miniaturization of magnetic memory units and give us the basic scientific knowledge which is needed for the application for the quantum computation. Moreover, academically, many quantum mechanical theories which have not been checked the validity can be checked with experiments.
This study is to inquire respective patterns of mental models caused by wrongful usages which can be experienced when a user who is used to a keypad-based mobile phone starts using a touch screen mobile phone and to find out the features of the user's logical process of correcting such wrongful usages to a new mental model. In addition, design improvement to be considered for easy generation of the mental model regarding touch screen mobile phones was reviewed in this study. We set up test subjects for the most frequently used seven high priority functions among touch screen phone functions and carried out the subject assessment together with interview surveys after the video observation experiment. Our test results show that test subjects who were used to keypad-based mobile phones tend to use operation knowledge related to the computer operational system(Window) or the web browse, navigation including Tap or Double Tap in order to correct the mental model when a wrongful usage is made. In addition, the result of comparison and analysis of the subject assessment and the video observation experiment data shows that wrongful usages of touch screen mobile phones mostly occurred in the field of 'information feedback' and 'navigation' among mobile phone components.
