  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of perceived value on the intention of continuous use of food delivery app services form the perspective of restaurant owners. We adopt the value-based acceptance model (VAM) in order to derive influential factors (i.e., perceived benefits and perceived sacrifices) that affect perceived value, which in turn leads to the continuous use of food delivery app services. In addition, the moderating role of restaurant type in the relationship between perceived benefits/sacrifices and perceived value. Design/methodology/approach An online survey was conducted on restaurant owners who are using domestic food delivery app services. Samples were collected using the quota sampling method in accordance with the current market share of food delivery app services. A total of 235 participants (restaurant owners) were identified as a valid sample and used for the final analysis. Findings Research findings of the study are as follows. First, sales increase and operational effort decrease among perceived benefits had a significant positive impact on perceived value. Second, perceived cost among perceived sacrifices had a significant negative impact on perceived value. Third, perceived value had a significant positive effect on the intention of continuous use. Finally, the moderating role of restaurant type was found only in the effect of operational effort decrease on perceived value.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the effective location-based IoT service acceptance model by integrating ELM (Elaboration Likelihood Model) with UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology). The Partial Least Squares was used to analyze the causal relationships with respect to the effects of central route and peripheral route on acceptance intention. The results shows that central route has more significant impacts on perceived usefulness than peripheral route and CFIP (Concern for Information Privacy) weaken the relationship of acceptance intention and perceived usefulness. Our findings indicate some meaningful implications in the acceptance research of IOT services. First, we noted that the easy of use significantly affects the adoption of location-based IoT service. Furthermore, it is important to build the secured mechanism of privacy protection to adopt of location-based IoT service. Second, we tried to attempt the newly integrated approach to technical acceptance using UTAUT's variables and ELM by Petty and Cacioppo (1986). Finally this research empirically analyzed the adoption case of location-based IoT service which is not well-known yet within our country.

  • Referral marketing plays an important role in promoting new products. When it comes to innovative agricultural products, early adopter's review or recommendation has a more critical impact on follower's purchase decision making. Hence, understanding of consumer's characteristics and needs play more important role in success of innovation. More particularly, other researchers pay attention to the role of consumer innovativeness. This study attempts to fill this gap in knowledge between innovative propensity of consumer and her/his intention to generate positive word of mouth about new agricultural products. Furthermore, in this paper, we adopt Vandecasteele and Geunes' motivated consumer innovativeness model to investigate consumer innovativeness in extrinsic motive and intrinsic motive level, and examine the moderating role of referral efficacy. For empirical verification, survey method is used for data collection. Partial least square (PLS) is adopted to analyze the data. Finally, several theoretical contributions and practical implications are discussed.

  • In this study, I researched whether consumers would adopt artificial intelligence speakers. A study was conducted on the motivations that arise when consumers want to use artificial intelligence speakers. Key motivational factors include needs and wants, and emotion is also included in the hypothesis as influencing the intended use. These factors have modeled the motivational process in which consumers want to use artificial intelligence speakers. In the empirical study, the survey was conducted and the survey data was analyzed by applying the method of analysis of the structural equation model. As a result of empirical research, consumers' expectations to meet their general needs for artificial intelligence speakers affected their expectations to meet their wants and their favorable perceptions. And consumers' expectations of meeting their quasi-desire for artificial intelligence speakers have affected their expectations of meeting the wants and affected their perception of favorability. Finally, consumers' expectations for satisfying their wants and their perception of favorability affected their intention to use artificial intelligence speakers. The implications of this study is that it helps to formulate strategies for information technology products with combined functionality. The specific components of motivation can play an important role in increasing consumers' intention to use artificial intelligence speakers.

In 2016, the number of Chinese tourists to South Korea peaked at 8.06 million and became the top source market. Nevertheless, increasing numbers of consumers choose to adopt the mobile payment tool instead of cash and credit cards in modern times with developed IT services. Research design, data, and methodology: IBM SPSS AMOS 23.0 and IBM Statistics 23.0 were used to analyze the data, which was collected from hotel employees in China from March 25 to May 10. Results: First, Interactivity, security, convenience, local information supply and user interface had positive effects on satisfaction and reliability. Second, it was believed that the convenience of Alipay played a positive role in increasing reliability and satisfaction through verification. Third, the role of use rate was found to be important in the development of Alipay functions. Conclusions: Based on the result, an analysis on the development of the Alipay market and the use of Alipay in South Korea is warranted. Furthermore, this paper will serve as a basis for flexible strategic plans for the development of Alipay and SMEs in South Korea.

  • Most of the IS continuance research has assumed that IS use is activated by an intention to use, which in turn is determined by the evaluation of IS usage. Perceived usefulness is one of the evaluation variables most widely used. Typically, the past studies adopt this perceived usefulness because it views continuance as an extension of acceptance behavior. However, the literature on interpersonal relationships suggests that individuals are motivated to maintain relationships either because they genuinely want to or they believe they have no other option. The former is referred to as dedication-based relationship maintenance and the latter as constraint-based relationship maintenance. The IS continuance can be considered as the relationship maintenance situation with the existing IS that the user is currently using. The belief constructs previously used in IS continuance researches fall into the category of dedication-based ones. Additional constraint-based belief constructs are needed to explain the IS continuance behavior. In this regard, switching cost represents an important avenue for better understanding and predicting customer retention in that it can be regarded as the constraint-based motivation for relationship maintenance or IS use continuance. For an empirical exploration, 275 samples were collected from the users of a web portal site. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) shows that perceived usefulness shows a significant direct effect on continuance intention while perceived switching cost significantly affects continuance usage.

  • The objective of this study is to provide a deeper understanding of the factors that lead to the development and adoption of AI-based chatbots. We analyze the structural relationship between the organizational (externalities), systematic (fit), and the consumer-related (psychological) factors and their role in the adoption of AI-based chatbots. Founded on the theories of task-technology fit and network externalities, we present a conceptual model overlooking common perception-based theories (e.g., Technology Acceptance Model). We collected 380 responses from Indian banking consumers to test the model using the PLS-SEM method. Interestingly, the findings present a positive impact of all factors on consumers' intention to adopt AI-based chatbots. However, the interplays between these factors provide a mixed perspective for literature. Apart from employing a combination of factors that have been used to study technology adoption, our study explores the importance of externalities and their relationship with fit factors, a unique outlook often overlooked by prior research. Moreover, we offer a clear understanding of latent variables such as trust, and the intricacies of their interplays in a novel context. Thereby, the study offers implications for literature and practice, followed by future research directions.

  • Purpose -This study was based on the TAM and the trust of Bangladeshi in social impact, privacy and security, compatibility, perceived-ease of use, and perceived-usefulness. The purpose of this study is to investigate how these variables affect the acceptance of online banking. Research design, data, and methodology - Internet survey was conducted for individuals who had experience in using the online banking service, and those who have no experience in online banking were excluded from the analysis. The questionnaire was distributed to Bangladesh respectively, and data were collected. Result - Trust is the variable that has the greatest influence on the adaption of online banking service. Perceived-usefulness was found to have a important effect on individuals' behavioral-intention towards the adopting of online Banking services in Bangladesh. It was also found that compatibility, privacy and security were important predictors. Conclusion - The TAM model, which explains individual behavioral intentions toward adopting online banking services in Bangladesh, is sufficiently applicable. Perceived ease of use found an important predictor of trust. Evidently, the current conclusions provide empirical evidence that customers would be more willing to adopt online banking services if they find it useful and reliable. Another very important constructive correlation between trust and perceived-usefulness, suggesting that consumers who realize that online banking is safe and useful.

  • This study aims to examine the effect of perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEU), trust (TR), subjective norm (SN), and attitude (AT) on customer's Intention to Adopt Internet Banking (IAIB) at Islamic banks and conventional banks before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. The research model is based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This study involves 213 respondents for Islamic banks and 410 respondents for conventional banks from 25 provinces in Indonesia. Data was analyzed using partial least square (PLS) regression with the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method. The result of data analysis confirms several hypotheses taken from the literature. The results before the Covid-19 pandemic showed that AT and SN influence IAIB in Islamic banks. Whereas in conventional banks, AT, PU, SN, and TR influence IAIB. While during the Covid-19 pandemic, it shows that the AT, PU, IB, SN, and customer TR influence IAIB in Islamic banks and conventional banks. From the analysis, it was found that the PEU variable did not have a significant effect on the intention of customers of Islamic banks and conventional banks to use Internet banking.
