Background: The current lack of the number of nurses and high nurse turnover rate leads to major problems for the health-care system in terms of cost, patient care ability, and quality of care. Theoretically, burnout may help link emotional labor with turnover intention. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of burnout in the association between emotional labor and turnover intention in Korean clinical nurses. Methods: Using data collected from a sample of 606 nurses from six Korean hospitals, we conducted a multiple regression analysis to determine the relationships among clinical nurses' emotional labor, burnout, and turnover intention, looking at burnout as a mediator. Results: The results fully and partially support the mediating role of burnout in the relationship between the subfactors of emotional labor and turnover intention. In particular, burnout partially mediated the relationship between emotional disharmony and hurt, organizational surveillance and monitoring, and lack of a supportive and protective system in the organization. In addition, we found that burnout has a significant full mediation effect on the relationship between overload and conflicts in customer service and turnover intention. Although the mediating effect of burnout was significantly associated with the demands and regulation of emotions, no significant effects on turnover intention were found. Conclusion: To reduce nurses' turnover, we recommend developing strategies that target both burnout and emotional labor, given that burnout fully and partially mediated the effects of emotional labor on turnover intention, and emotional labor was directly associated with turnover intention.
As the particulate matter (PM) is fatal for human being, the government authorities try to lessen PM with a variety of policy instruments. To increase the efficiency of the policy, we need to understand people's perception and risk avoidance on PM. Thus, the research explored what attribution styles, involvement, and perceived health status have an influence on preventive intention. First, we found three attribution styles on PM occurrence through factor analysis: daily life(DL), domestic industry & environment(DI&E), and Chinese industry & environment(CI&E). We also found that involvement(${\beta}=.465$, p<.001), CI&E(${\beta}=.222$, p<.001), DL(${\beta}=.173$, p<.01), and DI&E(${\beta}=.143$, p<.05) have an influence on preventive intention in order. Finally we discussed suggestions for future study.
In this study, the amalgamative relationship associated with oral health belief and preventive behavior against oral disease subject to middle aged people was analyzed. 20 persons in their middle age living in U city were selected as final subjects for this analysis. It was found that a factor with the strongest effect on intention to prevent oral disease and preventive behavior among oral health belief was importance. In the study, it was identified that the parameters such as importance and benefit had a partial mediating effect on the intention to prevent oral disease and self-efficacy had complete mediating effect. Through these results, it seems necessary to develop an intervention program for middle aged people able to recognize importance and benefits of oral health by themselves in order to promote their oral health.

In the U.S., outdoor enthusiasts such as golfers have been focused on skin cancer prevention practices since their outdoor activities lead to extensive sun exposure during peak sun hours. The purposes of this study were to investigate golfers current sun protection behaviors and five attributes and their impacts on the intention to adopt UV specialized clothing based on Rogers' theory. UV specialized clothing as a preventive innovation is related to sun protection behaviors. However, there has been little effort to explain the intention to adopt a preventive innovation regarding health-related practices. With a convenience sampling method, a total of 158 useful questionnaires were collected. Ninety one percent were male golfers, and their age ranged from 16 to 80 years old(mean age=30 years). About $25\%$ reported to practice sun protection behaviors. About $70\%$ disagreed on the relative advantage, compatibility, observability, and triability of UV specialized shirts and reported the low intention to purchase it. Current sun protection behaviors and five attribute variables were entered in the multiple regression equation to explain the dependent variable of intention to adopt the innovation. Triability was the best predictor of the intention to adopt UV specialized shirts, followed by current sun protection behaviors, compatibility, and relative advantage. With four predictors, $45\%$ of the variance of intention to adopt was explained. The present study provides how the golfers current sun protection behaviors play important roles in explaining the intention to adopt the preventive innovation. Physical and functional features of UV specialized clothing were also significantly associated with their intentions to adopt it.

Objectives: Dental implants are one treatment method for tooth loss. The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of experience and intention for dental implants and related factors among elderly. Methods: The participants were 244 elderly residing in rural areas with age over 65 in Samhoeup, Yeongamgun and Jeollanamdo, Korea. Chi-square tests, t-tests, and a multiple logistic regression analysis were performed to investigate the factors influencing the experience and intention of implants. Results: Many elderlies residing in rural areas rural elderly had experienced tooth loss (83.6%). The proportion of dental implant experience was 30.9% and intention to receive implants was 57.8%. The odds ratio (OR) for experience of implants was significantly higher for participants with a lower number of chronic diseases (0: OR=12.48, 95% CI=2.12-73.38, 1: OR=4.95, 95% CI=1.66-14.72), they have dental treatment experience during the past 1 year (OR=6.61, 95% CI=1.83-23.89), they have surrounding person who have experience of implant (OR=18.06, 95% CI=2.81-115.99), higher dental implant recognition (OR=3.97, 95% CI=1.92-8.23). The odds ratio (OR) for dental implant intention was significantly higher for participants with a lower age (65-69: OR=8.18, 95% CI=2.38-278.08, 70-79: OR=3.17 95% CI=1.04-9.68), lower number of chronic diseases (0: OR=4.15, 95% CI=1.00-17.29), they have drink alcohol (OR=5.03, Cl=1.31-19.34), they have surrounding person who has experience of implant (OR=3.22, 95% CI=1.30-8.02), they have not experience of tooth loss (OR=4.65, Cl=1.22-17.70), higher dental implant recognition (OR=2.69, 95% CI=1.55-4.67). Conclusions:In the future, it is necessary to utilize the results of this study to address loss of teeth and to support dental implant treatment selection through improved increased awareness of the advantages and disadvantages of dental implants.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine selected people's knowledge of Influenza A(HINI), their self-efficacy, social norms, awareness of the gravity of the infection of the flu, behavioral intention, preventive behavior, the impact of their knowledge of the flu on those variables and the relationship of the variables, as the spread of the flu has been accelerated. Methods : The subjects in this study were 484 health-related majors at two selected colleges selected by random sampling from the metropolitan area. Results : As for connections between knowledge of the 2009 H1N1 and self-efficacy, the students who were knowledgeable about the flu got a mean of 3.24, and those whose knowledge was on an intermediate level got 3.08. The students who didn't know well about that got 2.91. The students who were better informed were ahead of those who were less informed in terms of self-efficacy, and the intergroup gap was statistically significant(p<0.01). In relation to self-efficacy, the better-informed students scored higher than the less-informed ones in both of the two items: whether to know how to cope with the spread of the 2009 H1N1(p<0.01), and whether to be able to be ready for the spread of it(p<0.01). The intergroup gaps were statistically significant. Conclusions : The knowledge of the students about Influence A(H1N1) and their preventive behavior were analyzed in association with the spread of the flu, and there were no differences in actual preventive behavior though they were not the same in terms of behavioral intention. Therefore health education programs should be prepared to improve not only their knowledge but their attitude and preventive skills to boost their preventive behavior.
Objectives: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the dental website usability in Korea. The dental website included dental university hospital, network dental hospital and dental office. Methods: The study was carried out by three age groups including twenties, thirties, and forties. Each group consisted of ten customers and evaluated twelve websites of dental hospitals. Each was assigned to four hospitals and three tasks including easiness of online reservation, preventive information, and treatment information. They filled out the self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire included the easiness of on-line reservation, satisfaction on the quality and quantity of preventive informations, satisfaction on the quality and quantity of treatment informations, predictiveness on the sub-menu, usefulness of site map, information on the main page of web site, usefulness of decision on visit to dentistry, and revisit intention. Results: The easiness of on-line reservation was the highest in the private dental office, and university dental hospital and network dental hospitals followed in conducting task(1). The anticipated value and measurement on the usefulness of web site were the lowest in network dental hospitals and the time interval between two values was 57 seconds. This discrepancy showed the largest difference. The satisfaction on treatment information in task(3) was higher than that of the satisfaction on preventive information in task (2). The revisit intention was the highest in dental university hospitals. Conclusions: This study showed the comparison in usefulness of web site of university dental hospitals, network dental hospitals and private dental office. The web site focused on the treatment information rather than preventive information. This study suggested that the most important function of dental web site would be the preventive information that was mainly operated by the role of dental hygienists rather than treatment information in the future.
