Keypoints-Based 2D Virtual Try-on Network System

  • Image-based Virtual Try-On Systems are among the most potential solution for virtual fitting which tries on a target clothes into a model person image and thus have attracted considerable research efforts. In many cases, current solutions for those fails in achieving naturally looking virtual fitted image where a target clothes is transferred into the body area of a model person of any shape and pose while keeping clothes context like texture, text, logo without distortion and artifacts. In this paper, we propose a new improved image-based virtual try-on network system based on keypoints, which we name as KP-VTON. The proposed KP-VTON first detects keypoints in the target clothes and reliably predicts keypoints in the clothes of a model person image by utilizing a dense human pose estimation. Then, through TPS transformation calculated by utilizing the keypoints as control points, the warped target clothes image, which is matched into the body area for wearing the target clothes, is obtained. Finally, a new try-on module adopting Attention U-Net is applied to handle more detailed synthesis of virtual fitted image. Extensive experiments on a well-known dataset show that the proposed KP-VTON performs better the state-of-the-art virtual try-on systems.

  • 정보통신기술의 발달로 인터넷을 이용하는 패션/코디 쇼핑몰은 그 시장이 매년 큰 폭으로 증가하고 있다. 하지만, 자신의 신체나 패션스타일에 맞는 의류를 온라인 쇼핑몰에서 검색하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 본 논문은 여성 의류의 패션/코디 추천시스템에 대하여 특히, 개인의 신체적 특성에 가장 잘 맞추어진 의류 추천기능에 대하여 논한다. 또한, 계절별 유행에 대한 전문가의 추천도 고려할 수 있고, 자신의 좋아하는 의류스타일도 미리 등록해 둔 후에, 다양한 방법의 선택을 통하여 등록된 상품 중 자신이 원하는 최적의 상품을 추천받을 수 있도록 패션/코디 쇼핑몰에서의 추천방법을 제안하였다.

  • 인터넷을 이용하는 패션/코디 쇼핑몰은 그 시장이 매년 큰 폭으로 증가하고 있다. 하지만 대부분의 쇼핑몰들은 아직도 카테고리에 의한 상품 분류를 제외하면 특정한 의류를 찾을 수 있는 기능이 포함되어 있지 않아 사용자들이 불편을 겪고 있다. 본 연구에서는 여성복의 패션 코디네이션 시스템 구축 시 내용 기반의 방식 중 휴리스틱 기반 방식으로 시스템을 구축하기 위해 여성복의 특성을 가장 잘 나타낼 수 있는 속성들을 상속관계로 정의하고, 상품 관리자가 속성 값을 입력할 수 있도록 하였으며 가장 유사한 의류를 추천하기위한 방법을 소개하고 분석하였다.

지능을 이용한 영상 감시 시스템 (Image Surveillance System using Intelligence)

  • 요즈음, 지능형 감시 시스템을 이용해서 철도역사에서 발생하는 범인을 쉽게 검색하는 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 철도역 부근에서 범죄가 발생하였을 경우에, 1차로 DB에 저장된 전과자 (위험 인물군 DB)를 검색해서 범인을 검색하는 시스템을 모의실험 하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 2차로 현장에서 범인의 옷 색깔을 입력하면 역사부근 범죄현장에서 범인의 옷 색깔과 같은 사람을 검색할 수 있는 모의실험을 개발하였다.

비비안 웨스트우드(Vivienne Westwood)의 작품세계와 미적특성 (The Aesthetic Qualities Featured in Vivienne Westwood's Works)

  • This study will analyze the aesthetic qual-ities revealed in the work of Vivienne Wes-twood in order to gain an understanding of the development process and uniqueness of modern avant-garde fashion. Westwood gained worldwide recognition in the 1970s as the Punk movement emerged in London. Although her works have often been described as decadent and anti-establishment, her anarchic view of fashion has had a considerable influence on other designers, both in England and around the world. Vivienne Westwood's works can be divided into three periods. In the first period(1971∼78). Westwood design demonstrated elements which were variations of the subcultural Punk style. The noteworthy designs of this period included ripped T-shirts, bondage clothes, and fetishist accoutrements. In the second period(1979∼83), her designs expressed elements from ethnic and primitive tribal societies through the 'Pirate', 'Savages', 'Buffalo Girls', 'Witches' collections, which inspired New Romanticism movement. In the third period (1985∼ ), through works such as 'Mini-Crini'collection, her works identified elements from the old west and used materials such as crinoline and Harris tweed and contemporized them by rearranging the innovative technique. In the end the news synthesis helped formulate new ideas. The aesthetic qualities in Vivienne Wes-twood's works can bed identified with the following themes : Punkature, Erotic Intelligent-sia, Anarchic Collage. First, within Punkature, Westwood's ideas are at the forefront as her impact on the cut of clothes and creative detailing have been considerable. Also, while her ideas can be extreme, her clothes are wear-able, resulting in the synthesis of Punk and couture. Second, as Erotic Intelligentsia, Vivienne Westwood does not present sexuality as a straight forward attribute that fashion so often tends to do, but instead as a matter for inquiry, exploration and debate. She asserts that sexuality is always an interplay between the polarities of masculine and feminine, of dress and undress. Third, as Anarchic Collage, she has taken, juxtaposed, and transformed objects and symbols from dominant culture, like every modern subversive movement from Dada to Punk. She has continued this form of anarchic collage, mixing styles from various times and places, taking them out of their traditional context. From thiss viewpoint, Vivienne Westwood's works can be considered to be made up of past themes merged with is contemporary. The usage of contrasting elements such as Punk and couture to communicate her ideas visually or technically.

대학생들의 패션라이프스타일에 따른 웨어러블 스마트 텍스타일 제품의 관심 경향 연구 (Study on the Tendency of Interest of Wearable Textile Products according to College Students' Fashion Life Style)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the trends of product design for textile convergence wearable smart textile fashion products according to college students' fashion life style. In this study, we used information obtained from a questionnaire issued to 201 female college students who were 20 years old for the final analysis. The questionnaires were to classify female college students groups according to the fashion life style, to examine characteristics, needs and wants of each group. The survey on the tendency of wearable smart textiles consisted of 22 items about concept and type of smart clothing product, functional material and intelligent material, recognition, preference, purchase intention, purchase factor and brand preference tendency. A total of 201 samples were analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, crosstabs and $x^2-test$ using SPSS package program. 'brand preference oriented type was found to be interested in 'wearable' smart clothing product with monitoring function of bio-signal' and 'high functional fiber and textile product', but the credibility of 'smart clothes that can be worn and smart textile products to be useful in modern life' was low. 'fashionable individuality oriented' type showed interest in 'smart clothing and smart product', 'intelligent fiber' and 'wearable smart clothing product with monitoring function of bio-signal', but the preferences of 'light emitting fiber products' was low. 'practically purchasing-oriented' type was very interested in 'high-functional fiber and its textile products', but had inadequate knowledge on 'smart clothing and smart textile product' and showed low interest. Despite the fact that 'wearable smart clothing and smart textile products' are expensive, they were willing to purchase considering practicality and sophisticated style.

  • An old castle in a tranquil setting. At first glance, no-one would suspect that this was the backdrop for the research and services centre providing expertise from all areas of the textile-clothing supply chain, textile care and other associated sectors. The Hohenstein Institutes are a modern communications centre with the latest research equipment where highly qualified scientists carry out their research and exchange knowledge. This combination of high-calibre staff and the philosophy of the unity of research, training and application have guaranteed the Hohenstein team of their position as an internationally respected institution offering high levels of expertise in all areas of the textile-clothing chain. At the beginning of the 21st century, the team of scientists at Hohenstein made the research and development of high-tech textile and garment innovations their number one priority. They recognise a rapidly developing market for "intelligent textiles" and "Smart Clothes" capable of adapting their function to the existing environmental conditions. Clients for the research projects, which are often carried out in conjunction with other institutions and industry, are research associations, federal ministries, the European Union and numerous leading companies both in Germany and abroad. The Hohenstein Institutes dispose of four international offices at the moment: in Turkey (since 1996), USA (since 1999), Lima (since 2002) and Mexico (since 2003).

인간로봇 상호작용을 위한 언어적 인지시스템 기반의 비강체 인지 (The Cognition of Non-Ridged Objects Using Linguistic Cognitive System for Human-Robot Interaction)

  • For HRI (Human-Robot Interaction) in daily life, robots need to recognize non-rigid objects such as clothes and blankets. However, the recognition of non-rigid objects is challenging because of the variation of the shapes according to the places and laying manners. In this paper, the cognition of non-rigid object based on a cognitive system is presented. The characteristics of non-rigid objects are analysed in the view of HRI and referred to design a framework for the cognition of them. We adopt a linguistic cognitive system for describing all of the events happened to robots. When an event related to the non-rigid objects is occurred, the cognitive system describes the event into a sentential form and stores it at a sentential memory, and depicts the objects with a spatial model for being used as references. The cognitive system parses each sentence syntactically and semantically, in which the nouns meaning objects are connected to their models. For answering the questions of humans, sentences are retrieved by searching temporal information in the sentential memory and by spatial reasoning in a schematic imagery. Experiments show the feasibility of the cognitive system for cognizing non-rigid objects in HRI.

유권자 선호이미지 구축을 위한 여성정치리더의 패션디자인 연구 (A Study about Fashion Designs to Establish the voter's favored Female Political Leader's Image through Survey Analysis)

  • The female leadership styles in the 21st century have been established as a major axis. Especially, the fashion of female politicians being exposed to the public during political activities has become a main element of a measure displaying visually female leadership styles in the 21st century and image making as well. Consequently, this study conducted qualitative research through the interview method to figure out regular voters' thoughts in depth about images being required for female political leaders and the fashion maximizing those images, and drew the detailed design elements. Suggesting the clothes design reflecting those elements for female political leaders by 3D virtual clothing works emerging as a new market creating profits related to fashion. The images which female political leaders have to have and were extracted through the interviews in this study, showed as feminine, strong leader, honest, and intelligent images, and also it was shown that female political leaders displaying proper images depending on the circumstances and using those images in politics rather than sticking to a fashion identity were favored by interviewees. The present study intends to contribute to being used as basic data of various research and fashion items of virtual reality and establishment of successful fashion strategy for female political leaders.

지능형 객체 인식 기술을 이용한 실시간 동영상 검색시스템 (Development of Real-time Video Search System Using the Intelligent Object Recognition Technology)

  • 최근 범죄예방과 안전문제 등으로 CCTV와 같은 영상장비가 다양하게 활용되고 있다. 영상기기들은 대부분 24시간 작동되기 때문에 경비 인력을 절감할 수 있지만, 녹화된 영상에서 특정 인물과 같은 객체를 검색하는 업무는 여전히 수동으로 이루어지고 있어, 실시간 검색이 요구되는 상황에서는 정확하고 빠른 대처가 미흡하다. 본 논문에서는 최신 딥러닝 기술과 OpenCV 라이브러리를 이용하여 사용자의 의해 입력된 의상정보를 바탕으로 특정인물을 영상에서 빠르게 검색하고, 그 결과를 실시간으로 전송하는 기술을 제안한다. 개발된 시스템은 YOLO 라이브러리를 이용하여 실시간으로 인물객체를 탐지한 후, 딥러닝 기술을 이용하여 인간의 의상을 상/하의로 구분하고 OpenCV 라이브러리를 통해 색을 검출하여 특정 인물 객체를 자동으로 인식하도록 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 개발한 시스템은 특정 의상을 갖춘 인물객체를 정확하고 빠르게 인식할 뿐만 아니라 기타 객체 인식에도 활용할 수 있는 확장성을 갖추고 있어 다양한 용도의 영상감시시스템에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
