Web 2.0 has become the face next generation Web among the business world and research community. Web 2.0 is instant superficial gratification of people. On the other hand, Semantic Web is deep, meaningful and lasting relationship with data. So, it is difficult to apply the Semantic Web to the real world. In this paper, a platform for educational services using the Semantic Web and Web 2.0 is proposed. The proposed platform is based mix of the Semantic Web and Web 2.0, so it is useful to apply in the real world applications. Two services are presented, one is a semantic email system and the other is a cyber study space. The cyber study space adjusted each student is presented. The study environment is called iStudySpace that has personal scheduler, study status plan table, personalized search engine and several gadgets. Finally characteristics and limitations of the Semantic Web and Web 2.0, the organization and components of the platform, evaluation of iStudySpace are shown.

The web server for the embedded Linux system(ELS), unlike the ones for the usual Linux or Windows, has some disadvantages such as small number of installable applications, low compatibility and limited extensibility. This fact raises some problems when data are transferred in real-time via the web server, which are mainly caused by a poor performance of the processor and small-sized memory. Conventional user interfaces adopted for the usual web servers are unsuitable for the ELS because they are platform-limited and their installations are done by the form of plug-ins. If the web server for the ELS has an Ajax engine that can be utilized without any installation procedure, the advantages of usability, accessibility and quick response time can be obtained. This paper presents the Ajax interface for the ELS web server. The efficiency of the proposed technology in the real-time remote monitoring is shown through an implementation.

본 논문에서는 사용자의 취향에 맞춰 특정 웹 문서를 탐색하는 개인화된 웹 검색기의 구현을 다룬다. 사용자의 취향은 사용자의 직접적인 평가와 사용자의 검색 과정을 통해 얻어지는 간접적인 평가를 사용한 강화 학습을 사용하여 학습된다. 웹 문서의 검색은 사용자의 취향과 현재 문서와의 관련 도를 보상으로 사용한 강화 학습을 통하여 이루어진다.

멀티미디어가 발달함에 딸 이를 위한 다양한 검색 기법들이 제안되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 WeCAM 시스템에서 비디오 검색을 하기 위한 텍스처 성분과 영상의 윤곽선 특징을 동시에 이용한 검색 기법을 제안한다. 텍스처 특성 추출에는 8$\times$8 블록 DCT를 기반으로한 DCT-par와 DCT-energy 기법을 적용하고 윤곽선 추출에는 DCT의 대각선 계수를 이용하는 기법을 이용한다. WebCAM으로 생성된 비디오는 MPEG표준을 따르는 것으로 가정하고 있으며, 압축된 데이터에 디코딩 과정없이 직접 검색 기법을 적용함으로써 처리 시간을 단축할수 있다는 장점이 있다.

A novel mathematical modeling in web transport systems for Continuous Annealing Processes (CAP) is proposed. Despite of thermal and weight effects in dynamics of web transport systems, the conventional mathematical model does not consider those effects. Disregard of these effects causes the low manufacturing quality of webs in CAP. In order to improve the manufacturing quality of webs in CAP, moreover, precise tension control is required based on the mathematical model. Therefore, an advanced mathematical model considering thermal and weight effects in CAP should be established. The effectiveness of a novel mathematical model is evaluated by comparing the performances of the PI tension control system based on the proposed mathematical model with that based on the conventional one through the computer simulation.

In this paper, we propose a customer personalized system that presents the web pages to users which are customized to their individuality. It analyzes the action of users who visit the shopping mall, and preferentially supplies the necessary information to them. When they actually buy some items, it forecasts the user's access pattern to web site and their following purchasable items and improves their web page on the bases of their individuality. It reasons the relation among the web documents and among the items by using the log data of web server and the purchase information of DB. For reasoning, it employs Apriori algorithm, which is a method that searches the association rule. It reasons the web pages by considering the user's access pattern and time by using the web log and reasons the user's purchase pattern by using the purchase information of DB. On the basis of the relation among them, it appends the related web pages to link of user's web pages and displays the inferred goods on user's web pages.

As the web is vast and disorderly, it is difficult to find desired information on the web. In particular, finding image resources (knowing where and what kind of images can be found on the web) is very difficult but challenging. As the first step towards the web resource mining, this paper reports the preliminary results of collecting a number of images by a web robot as well as presenting those meta information.

When we search information on the Web using search engines, they only analyze the text information collected from the source files of Web pages. However, there is a limit to analyze the layout of a Web page only from its source file, although Web page design is the most important factor for a user to estimate a page. In particular it often happens on the Web that the pages of similar design ofter similar information. We propose a method to analyze layout for comparing the design of pages by treating the displayed page as image.
