In this thesis, author cocitation analysis with 45 authors in the field of sociology in general and document cocitation analysis in the specific area of family sociology were executed. The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning of bibliographic phenomena in Korean sociological literature by means of a new bibliometric technique, cocitation analysis, and to approach the intellectual structure of that field in view of multidimensional space.

Since the 1990s, informetrics has grown in popularity among information scientists. Today it is a general discipline that comprises all kinds of metrics, including bibliometrics and scientometrics. To illustrate the dynamic progress of this field, this study aims to identify the structure and infrastructure of the informetrics literature using statistical and profiling methods. Informetrics literature was obtained from the Web of Knowledge for the years 2001-2010. The selected articles contain least one of these keywords: informetrics', bibliometrics', scientometrics', webometrics', and citation analysis.' Noteworthy publication patterns of major countries were identified by a statistical method. Intellectual structure analysis shows major research areas, authors, and journals.

Since the 1990s, the growth of the public library program field progressed rapidly at home and aborad as the proportion of programs increased as a major job for public libraries in response to social changes and user demands. However, it is difficult to find a study to grasp the overall research trend in the field of public library programs in Korea. Accordingly, intellectual structure analysis was performed based on keyword profiling to examine research trends in the domestic public library program field. In particular, keyword analysis, network analysis and cluster analysis, and period/year analysis were performed step by step based on the author keywords (uncontrolled keywords) of degree papers and academic journals retrieved from the RISS database. In addition, based on the results of this intellectual structure analysis, the research trends of public library programs were comprehensively reviewed and future research tasks were presented.

This study investigates the development path and intellectual structure of data literacy research, aiming to identify emerging topics in the field. A comprehensive search for data literacy-related articles on the Web of Science reveals that the field is primarily concentrated in Education & Educational Research and Information Science & Library Science, accounting for nearly 60% of the total. Citation network analysis, employing the PageRank algorithm, identifies key papers with high citation impact across various topics. To accurately trace the development path of data literacy research, an enhanced PageRank main path algorithm is developed, which overcomes the limitations of existing methods confined to the Education & Educational Research field. Keyword bibliographic coupling analysis is employed to unravel the intellectual structure of data literacy research. Utilizing the PNNC algorithm, the detailed structure and clusters of the derived keyword bibliographic coupling network are revealed, including two large clusters, one with two smaller clusters and the other with five smaller clusters. The growth index and mean publishing year of each keyword and cluster are measured to pinpoint emerging topics. The analysis highlights the emergence of critical data literacy for social justice in higher education amidst the ongoing pandemic and the rise of AI chatbots. The enhanced PageRank main path algorithm, developed in this study, demonstrates its effectiveness in identifying parallel research streams developing across different fields.

In this study, the intellectual structure of Records Management & Archival Science in Korea was analyzed using document clustering, a widely used method of text mining, and document similarity network analysis. The data used in this study were 145 articles written on the subject of Records Management & Archival Science selected from five major representative journals in the field of Library & Information Science in Korea, published from 2001 to 2006. The results of cluster analysis show that the core subject areas are "electronic records management and digital Preservation," "records management policy and institution," "records description and catalogues." and "records management domain and education." The results of document analysis, which is more detailed than cluster analysis, show that "digital archiving," a specialized subject in digital preservation, plays a central role. The results of serial analysis, which proceeds according to a timeline, show the emergence of "archival services" as a new subject area.

This study investigated the intellectual structure of the latest trends in Korean addiction research in the social sciences. A network analysis of keywords with co-word occurrence was performed on 172 papers from the KCI database based on the data from the year of 2019, and a total of 432 keywords were extracted. The network analysis was performed using several programs: Bibexcel, COOC, WNET, and NodeXL. As a result of the study, keywords related to addiction type, study subjects, research methods, and research variables were found, and a total of 20 clusters were identified. Furthermore, to identify and measure weighted networks, the relationships between each keyword were explored and discussed in detail through a network analysis of global centralities, local centralities, and betweenness centralities. The study indicated that the latest issues were focused on smartphone addiction and provided implications for the future research and practice that fields and topics of relationship addiction, food addiction, and work addiction should be more considered. Further, the study discussed the relationship between drug addiction-crime, alcohol addiction-family, and gambling addiction-motivation and the necessity of qualitative study.

The outcomes of entrepreneurship studies have been tried to help the entrepreneurs in start-up stages, but the outcomes of the entrepreneurship research are not fully utilized to guide the activities of the entrepreneurs in start-up businesses. To utilize the outcomes of entrepreneurship research for helping entrepreneurs effectively, an entrepreneurship ontology, a systemized specification of the knowledge in the entrepreneurship research, has to be established, Based on the entrepreneurship ontology, the knowledge of entrepreneurial processes can be illustrated, and a diagnosis and coaching system for the entrepreneurs can be built effectively. To establish an entrepreneurship ontology, this study investigates the intellectual structure of entrepreneurship studies by analyzing the contents of top journals in entrepreneurship field, and identifies the relationship among the key concepts through bibliometric analyses based on entrepreneurship corpus, This study suggests a method of establishing entrepreneurship ontology and utilization of the ontology. Through utilization of the entrepreneurship ontology, it is expected to explain the entrepreneurial processes effectively and to improve the rate of business success.

This study clarified the intellectual structure of international collaboration in psychiatry based on analyzing networks in order to vitalize for international collaboration in psychiatry in South Korea. The data set was collected from Web of Science citation database during the period from 2009 to 2013. SU="psychiatry" search formulary (means field of psychiatric medical research) was used through advanced retrieval function and a total of 18,590 articles were selected among international collaborations. A total of 85 different keywords were selected from the 18,590 articles, and the results of analysis were as follows. First, this study examined 8 sub-subject areas focusing on disorders, and found that major subject areas could be divided into a total of 8 sub-subject areas. Second, this study examined 6 keywords that have a strong impact, and extend subject areas by promoting intermediation between other keywords Third, this study examined sub-subject areas by using the Knowledge Classification Scheme of the National Research Foundation of Korea through community analysis, and found a total of 15 clusters and a total of 12 sub-subject areas.

The purpose of this study is to see the intellectual structure in the field of veterinary sciences in Korea, using author profiling analysis(APA), a bibliometric approach. Three journals are selected on the basis of citation data, exchanging most citations with Korean Journal of Veterinary. And then, 50 authors who published most articles at selected journals during the given period of time were chosen. The analysis of similarity and dissimilarity among authors by comparing co-word appearance patterns from article title, abstracts, and keywords was made. Authors can be grouped 11 minor clusters under 4 major clusters, depending on their interests in the area of veterinary sciences in Korea. The subjects for each cluster at the veterinary sciences are decided by the matching the keyword, representing author's research interest. As a result, it is possible to figure out the current research trends and the researcher network in the field of veterinary sciences.

Various research are being published in the areas of humanities, history, aviation/ports, and regional development, centering on the Incheon area which has issues such as large-scale ports and airports, archipelago, and urban regeneration. This study explored the scope of the subject and the distribution of researchers using a informetric analysis focusing on the studies of Incheon. Specifically, this study extracted authors from about 500 Incheon-related research papers listed in the Korean journal's citation index and analyzed the co-author relationship network to understand the cooperative behavior between authors' institutions. In addition, by extracting keywords from the articles and performing a weighted network (PFNET) analysis on the relationship between keywords, the intellectual structure was analyzed. As a result, it was found that Inha University and Incheon National University showed a high TBC, and Incheon Development Institute showed the high NNC. Meanwhile, the intellectual structure of Incheon-related research was found to be composed of 11 thematic clusters, and the social issues of Incheon, ports, and aviation were analyzed as representative clusters.
