Rapid and accurate diagnosis of diseases is very important for appropriate treatment of patients. Recent advances in molecular-level interaction and detection technologies are upgrading the clinical diagnostics by providing new ways of diagnosis, with higher speed and accuracy. In particular, DNA microarrays can be efficiently used in clinical diagnostics which span from discovery of diseaserelevant genes to diagnosis using its biomarkers. Diagnostic DNA microarrays have been used for genotyping and determination of disease-relevant genes or agents causing diseases, mutation analysis, screening of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), detection of chromosome abnormalities, and global determination of posttranslational modification. The performance of DNA-microarray-based diagnosis is continuously improving by the integration of other tools. Thus, DNA microarrays will play a central role in clinical diagnostics and will become a gold standard method for disease diagnosis. In this paper, various applications of DNA microarrays in disease diagnosis are reviewed. Special effort was made to cover the information disclosed in the patents so that recent trends and missing applications can be revealed.
This study is intended to develop the creative and high value-added products as well as the development of diversity for jump suit for the future by analyzing the trend and feature shown in jump suit in the modern fashion. In the research methodology, the analysis was carried out over a total of 351 work pieces on jump suit among those presented in the collection of Paris, Milan, New York and London from 2006S/S to 2013F/W as well as literature review. The aesthetic features on suit jump design introduced in the modern fashion could be characterized as the following. First, both upper and lower garments are composed with a simple array of items and the stress was put on modernity feature through minimal expression technique. The feature of solid simplicity was also given with achromatic color or neutral monochrome. Second, the feminity image was emphasized with adoption of such highlighting items as detailed add-ons, tops, camisoles and blouses that stress the organically curved streamline including silhouette, material itself, crease and drape that enable the direct and indirect exposition of human body and the expression of smooth curve in human body. Third, jump suit revealed the multipurpose feature as item available for the diverse wear such as working habiliment, sports wear, uniform, office wear and evening wear, depending on the terms and conditions. Fourth, the deconstructive characteristic appeared through integration with various items, destruction of formative structure, non-structural shape, and ambiguity in wearing method.
The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the impact that occurs when Korean organizations make practical use of various information technology tools and systems in the knowledge management process, such as sharing, learning and creating knowledge. Such a process is usually made through online and offline knowledge management activities. This paper also verifies how the externalization of tacit knowledge, and the internalization of explicit knowledge via the Internet and offline socialization activities have altered the mechanisms of knowledge transfers inside organizations. For the research, a survey was conducted on the satisfaction and usability levels of information technology, and the impact of IT usage on the results of knowledge management activities and knowledge transfers. 622 Korean organizations were surveyed, including major listed firms and public organizations. The results were examined as an online/offline integration process using SECI's Model proposed by Nonaka (1994, 1995). The analysis shows that information technology satisfaction and the usage of information technology help accelerate the pace of the knowledge flow and amplify the volume of the knowledge transfer by boosting the externalization and internalization processes-also known as knowledge management activities. However. there is no distinct correlation between information technology and socialization, an offline knowledge transferal activity. In particular, the quality of knowledge-an end result of knowledge transfer-does not improve merely by the externalization of online knowledge and instead requires the internalization of knowledge processes. Above all, the research reveals that offline socialization processes vastly contribute to the improvement of knowledge quality. This paper suggests that in order to ensure a transfer of quality knowledge, an organization or a company should focus on the use of information technology rather than the satisfaction level of information technology, and that knowledge transfers via the Internet has limitations in creating high quality of knowledge. For an organization to ensure the transfer of high-quality knowledge, the organization should not entirely hinge the transfer of knowledge online, as it is essential to have an offline method-a form of socialization such as a 'community of practice.'
The ITS(Intelligent Transport System) enables us to provide solutions on traffic problems, while maximizing safety and efficiency of road and transportation systems, by combining technologies from information and communication, electrical engineering, electronics, mechanics, control and instrumentation with transportation systems. The issues that an integration system for massive traffic data sources must face are due to several factors such as the variety and amount of data available, the representational heterogeneity of the data in the different sources, and the autonomy and differing capabilities of the sources. In this paper, we describe how to extract and load of the heterogeneous massive traffic data from the operational databases, such as FTMS and ARTIS using commercial tools. Also, we experiment on traffic data warehouses with integrated quality management techniques for providing high quality data.
Research on AI is essential to build a system with collective intelligence that allows a large number of UAVs to maintain their flight while carrying out various missions. A typical approach of AI includes 'top-down' approach, which is a rule-based logic reasoning method including expert system, and 'bottom-up approach' in which overall behavior is determined through partial interaction between simple objects such as artificial neural network and Flocking Algorithm. In the same study as the existing Flocking Algorithm, individuals can not perform individual tasks. In addition, studies such as UAV formation flight can not flexibly cope with problems caused by partial flight defects. In this paper, we propose organic integration between top - down approach and bottom - up approach through multi - agent system, and suggest a flight flight algorithm which can perform flexible mission through it.

The Spatial Image contents of Geomorphology 3-D environment is focused by the requirement and importance in the fields such as, national land development plan, telecommunication facility management, railway construction, general construction engineering, Ubiquitous city development, safety and disaster prevention engineering. The currently used DEM system using contour lines, which embodies geographic information based on the 2-D digital maps and facility information has limitation in implementation in reproducing the 3-D spatial city. Moreover, this method often neglects the altitude of the rail way infrastructure which has narrow width and long length. This As the results, We confirmed the solutions of varieties application for railway facilities management using 3-D spatial image contents and database design. Also, I suggested that U-city using topographical modeling about matching methods of high density elevation value using 3-D aerial photo with laser data are best approach for detail stereo modeling and simulation.

The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of hospital employees' communication satisfaction on their perceived organizational effectiveness. Four research hypothesis are established for the purpose of this study. The subject of this study were 473 employees who were working at 10 general hospitals in Korea. The survey was done with structured questionnaire from January 3 to February 8, 2013. The results of stepwise regression analysis show that hospital employees' communication satisfaction positively affected organizational effectiveness. Interaction effects between employees' communication satisfaction and work types had stronger effect on organizational growth than organizational stability. It can be pointed out as an important issue that communication satisfaction score of medical support occupation is the lowest level(3.11 points out of 5 points). If hospitals want an integration of organization, it is required to develop method or skill to increase communication satisfaction among employees.
A name is a key feature for distinguishing people, but we often fail to discriminate people because an author may have multiple names or multiple authors may share the same name. Such name ambiguity problems affect the performance of document retrieval, web search and database integration. Especially, in bibliography information, a number of errors may be included since there are different authors with the same name or an author name may be misspelled or represented with an abbreviation. For solving these problems, it is necessary to disambiguate the names inputted into the database. In this paper, we propose a method to solve the name ambiguity by using social networks constructed based on the relations between authors. We evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed system based on DBLP data that offer computer science bibliographic information.
Mach-Zehnder interferometric wavelength converters with monolithically integrated semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOA's) have been fabricated and characteristics of wavelength conversion at 10 Gb/s have been investigated for wavelength span of 40 nm. The devices have been achieved by using a butt-joint combination of buried ridge structure type SOA's and passive waveguides. In the integration, a new method has been applied that removes p+InP cladding layer leading to high propagation loss and forms simultaneously the current blocking and the cladding layer using undoped InP. The module packaging has been achieved by using a titled fiber array for effective coupling into the tilted waveguide in the wavelength converter. Using the module, wavelength conversion with power penalty lower than 1 ㏈ at 10 Gb/s has been demonstrated for wavelength span of 40 nm. In addition, it is show that the module can provide 2R (re-amplification, re-shaping) operation by demonstrating the conversion with the negative penalty.
