To solve big problem in high energy physics or bioinformatics, it needs a large number of computing resources. But it hard to be provided by one grid environment. While user can submit each job by using it's own user interface in each grid environment, it may need many cost and efforts to manage several hundred jobs conserved in each grid environment separately. In this paper, to solve this problem we develop Ganga's Gridway backend and InterGrid backend. Therefore as we provide the same grid user interface between different grid environments. We developed a Gridway backend module that provide users with access to globus-based grid resources as well. We have also developed an InterGrid backend that allows users to submit jobs that have access to both glite-based resources and globus-based resources. In order to demonstrate the practicality of the new backend plugin modules, we have integrated the AutoDock application used by WISDOM project into Ganga as a new built-in application plugin for Ganga. And we preformed interoperability experiment between PRAGMA grid based on Globus and EGEE grid based on gLite.
Purpose - This study aims to clarify through which process asset specificity and supplier development project (SDP) affect performance. Cooperation, partnership, the level of information exchange, and the importance of information sharing are considered significant variables as mediators related to the process. Finally, the performance formation model of the supply chain through asset specificity and supplier development project would be suggested as being a result of this study. Research design, data, and methodology - Data collection was as follows: questionnaires were distributed to 250 companies that have business ties with H Company. The empirical study to test our hypothesis was based on statistical analysis (using SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 19.0). The hypothesis of this paper is that the asset specificity and supplier development project variables have positive effects on the following variables: mediators such as cooperation and partnership (reliability and dependence); and the cooperation and partnership variables have a positive effect on the following variables: level of information sharing, the importance of information sharing, and level of information sharing; the importance of information sharing has a positive effect on supply chain performance. We tested our hypothesized model utilizing path analysis with latent variables. Results - First, it was found that asset specificity has significant positive effects on cooperation (H1), reliability (H2), and dependability (H3). Second, it was proved that the level of comprehension on the purpose of SDP has positive effects significantly on cooperation (H4), reliability (H5), and dependability (H6). Third, the hypotheses related to cooperation were all significantly accepted. The relationships of cooperation with the level (H7) and importance (H8) of information sharing were significant. Fourth, the hypotheses related to reliability were all significantly accepted. The relationships of reliability with the level (H9) and importance (H10) of information sharing were significant. In terms of dependability, however, the hypotheses were partially accepted. The effect of dependability was significant on the importance of information sharing (H12), but insignificant on the level of information sharing (H11). Finally, the causal relationships from the level of information sharing to SCM performance (H13) and from the importance of information sharing to SCM performance (H14) were both significantly accepted. Conclusion - First, with rapid changes in the business environment, enterprises should acquire the right information to properly implement SCM. For successful SCM, firms should understand the supplier development project. Second, asset specificity and the level of comprehension on SDP have significant effects both on cooperation and partnership (reliability and dependability). Third, mediators such as cooperation, reliability, and dependability significantly affect the level and importance of information sharing. Fourth, the level and importance of information sharing have significant impacts on SCM performance. This paper makes a meaningful contribution to further the understanding of how SDP affects SCM performance. Finally, successful SCM performance is achieved by information sharing through a collaborative environment and partnership (confidence & dependence) rather than by investing only in setting up an information system.
Debates about introducing nuclear submarines have been a main issue in Korea. The highest officials and the government has started to think seriously about the issue. Yet there were no certain decision to this issue or any agreements with US but it is still necessary to review about introducing nuclear submarines, the technologies and about the business. The reason for such issues are the highest officials of Korea to build nuclear submarine, nK's nuclear development and SLBM launching. ROKN's nuclear submarine's necessity will be to attack(capacity to revenge), defend(anti-SSBN Operation) and to respond against neighboring nation's threat(Russia, Japan, China). Among these nations, US, Russia (Soviet Union), Britain, France had built their submarines in a short term of time due to their industrial foundation regarding with nuclear propulsion submarines. However China and India have started their business without their industrial foundation prepared and took a long time to build their submarines. Current technology level of Korea have reached almost up to US, Russia, Britain and France when they first built their nuclear propulsion submarines since we have almost completed the business for the Changbogo-I,II and almost up to complete building the Changbogo-III which Korea have self designed/developed. Furthermore Korea have reached the level where we can self design large nuclear reactors and the integrated SMART reactor which we can call ourselves a nation with worldwide technologies. If introducing the nuclear submarine to the Korea gets decided, first of all we would have to review the technological problems and also introduce the foreign technologies when needed. The methods for the introduction will be developments after loans from the foreign, productions with technological cooperations, and individual production. The most significant thing will be that changes are continuous and new instances are keep showing up so that it is important to only have a simple reference to a current instances and have a review on every methods with many possibilities. Also developing all of the technologies for the nuclear propulsion submarines may be not possible and give financial damages so there may be a need to partially introduce foreign technologies. For the introduction of nuclear propulsion submarines, there must be a resolution of the international regulations together with the international/domestics resistances and the technological problems to work out for. Also there may be problem for the requirement fees to solve for and other tough problems to solve for. However nuclear submarines are powerful weapon system to risk everything above. This is an international/domestically a serious agenda. Therefore rather than having debates based on false facts, there must be a need to have an investigations and debates regarding the nation's benefits and national security.

This study aims to assess offshore wind energy resources around Jeju Island using the InVEST Offshore Wind model. First the wind power density around the coast of Jeju was calculated using reanalysis data from the Korean Local Analysis and Prediction System (KLAPS). Next, the net present value (NPV) for the 168MW offshore wind farm scenario was evaluated taking into consideration factors like costs (turbine development, submarine cable installation, maintenance), turbine operation efficiency, and a 20year operation period. It was determined that there are high wind resources along both the western and eastern coasts of Jeju Island, with high wind power densities of $400W/m^2$ calculated. To visually evaluate the NPV around Jeju Island, a classification of five grades was employed, and results showed that the western sea area has a high NPV, with wind power resources over $400W/m^2$. The InVEST Offshore Wind model can quickly provide optimal spatial information for various wind farm scenarios. The InVEST model can be used in combination with results of marine ecosystem service evaluation to design an efficient marine spatial plan around Jeju Island.

In this paper, we propose a VLSI structure of real-time image compression and reconstruction processor using 2-D discrete wavelet transform and implement into a hardware which use minimal hardware resource using ASIC library. In the implemented hardware, Data path part consists of the DWT kernel for the wavelet transform and inverse transform, quantizer/dequantizer, the huffman encoder/huffman decoder, the adder/buffer for the inverse wavelet transform, and the interface modules for input/output. Control part consists of the programming register, the controller which decodes the instructions and generates the control signals, and the status register for indicating the internal state into the external of circuit. According to the programming condition, the designed circuit has the various selective output formats which are wavelet coefficient, quantization coefficient or index, and Huffman code in image compression mode, and Huffman decoding result, reconstructed quantization coefficient, and reconstructed wavelet coefficient in image reconstructed mode. The programming register has 16 stages and one instruction can be used for a horizontal(or vertical) filtering in a level. Since each register automatically operated in the right order, 4-level discrete wavelet transform can be executed by a programming. We synthesized the designed circuit with synthesis library of Hynix 0.35um CMOS fabrication using the synthesis tool, Synopsys and extracted the gate-level netlist. From the netlist, timing information was extracted using Vela tool. We executed the timing simulation with the extracted netlist and timing information using NC-Verilog tool. Also PNR and layout process was executed using Apollo tool. The Implemented hardware has about 50,000 gate sizes and stably operates in 80MHz clock frequency.
This paper describes a l0b CMOS A/D converter (ADC) for HDTV applications. The proposed ADC adopts a typical multi-step pipelined architecture. The proposed circuit design techniques are as fo1lows: A selective channel-length adjustment technique for a bias circuit minimizes the mismatch of the bias current due to the short channel effect by supply voltage variations. A power reduction technique for a high-speed two-stage operational amplifier decreases the power consumption of amplifiers with wide bandwidths by turning on and off bias currents in the suggested sequence. A typical capacitor scaling technique optimizes the chip area and power dissipation of the ADC. The proposed ADC is designed and fabricated in s 0.8 um double-poly double-metal n-well CMOS technology. The measured differential and integral nonlinearities of the prototype ADC show less than ${\pm}0.6LSB\;and\;{\pm}2.0LSB$, respectively. The typical ADC power consumption is 119 mW at 3 V with a 40 MHz sampling rate, and 320 mW at 5 V with a 50 MHz sampling rate.
Last-Mile delivery optimization plays a key role in the urban supply chain operation, which is the most expensive and time-consuming and most complicated part of the whole delivery process. The urban consolidation center (UCC) is regarded as a significant asset for supporting customer demand in the last-mile delivery service. It is the key benefit of UCC to improve the load balance of vehicles and to reduce the total traveling distance by finding the better route with the well-organized multi-leg vehicle journey in the urban area. This paper presents the model using multiple scenario analysis integrated with mathematical optimization techniques using Geographic Information System (GIS). The model aims to find the best solution for the distribution network consisted of DC and UCC, which is applied to the case of Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. The proposed methodology integrates two sub-models, location-allocation model and vehicle routing problem. The multiple scenarios devised by selecting locations of UCC are compared considering the general performance and delivery patterns together. It has been adopted to make better decisions the quantitative metrics such as the economic value of capital cost, operating cost, and balance of using available resources. The result of this research may help the manager or public authorities who should design the distribution network for the last mile delivery service optimization using UCC within the urban area.

This paper briefly introduces the scope and objectives of SKB Task 8, which is an international cooperative research project. In addition, the hydraulic behaviors of bentonite buffer focusing on the interactions between bentonite and a rock mass with a joint were investigated using TOUGH2 code as part of a sub-mission of Task 8a. The effects of a rock joint and high capillary pressure of bentonite on the re-saturation properties and pressure distribution in a buffer were identified and successfully incorporated in the TOUGH2 code. Based on the numerical results, it was found that the speed of re-saturation in bentonite surrounded by a rock mass with a joint is 2.5 to 12 times faster than that in a condition without a rock joint, while the degree of saturation in the lower part of the buffer material is generally higher than in the upper part in both the cases of with and without a joint. It can be anticipated that the results obtained from this study can be applied to an estimation of the full saturation time and a determination of optimum thickness with regard to the design of the bentonite buffer in a high level waste disposal system.
Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the Gongjin-dan (Gongchen-dan, here in after GJD) in order to obtain the evidence for clinical application. Methods The GJD-related articles published from 1990 to 2013 were searched using "Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal", "Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS)", "Korean Association of Medical Journal Edition (Koreamed)", "Research Information Services (RISS4U)", "Korean Medicine Database (KMbase)", "National Discovery for Science Leader (NDSL)", "PubMed", "China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI)". The search keywords were "Gongjin-dan", "Gongchen-dan". Thirty-nine articles were obtained. After excluding the eighteen article which did not meet inclusion criteria, finally twenty-one articles were included; five clinical articles and sixteen experimental articles. Results In clinical studies, GJD has the various effectiveness in cardiovascular diseases, alcoholic hepatitis, mild dementia, anemia. Also experimental studies related to the GJD show a variety of effects, such as anti-oxidative activity, neuroprotective activity, hepatoprotective activity, anti-inflammatory activity, immunological activity, reproductive recovery activity with fewer side-effects. Conclusions It has been suggested that there are various effects of GJD in treating a wide-range disease. However, in order to put GJD to use for many kinds of diseases in more reasonable ways, it is needed to publish well-design clinical trial based on the variety of results of experimental studies.
Multi-channel sensors can be used to increase the reliability and remove the random iloise in ion-sensitive field effect transistors(ISFETs). Multi-channel sensors is also an essential step toward potential fabrication of sensors for several ionic species in one device. However, when the multi-channel sensors are separately biased, the biasing problems become difficult, that is to say, the bias circuit is needed as many sensors. In this work, a circuit for biasing the four pH-ISFETs in null-balance method, where bias voltages are switched, was proposed. The proposed concept is need only one bias circuit for the four sensors. Therefore it has advantages of smaller size and lower power consumption than the case that all sensors are separately biased at a time. The proposed circuit was tested with discrete devices and its performance was investigated. In the recent trend, sensor systems are implemented as portable systems. So the verified measurement circuit was integrated by using the CMOS circuit. Fortunately, ISFET fabrication process can be compatible with CMOS process. Full circuit has a mask area of $660{\mu}m{\times}500{\mu}m$. In the future, this step will be used for developing the smart sensor system with ISFET.
