본 논문에서는 다양한 개별 장비로 구성되는 방송 송출시스템 환경을 범용 컴퓨터 하드웨어와 소프트웨어를 기반으로 단일 송출서버로 통합하고, 방송 송출과 관련된 전 과정을 하나의 통합시스템으로 지원하는 단일 서버기반 통합 송출시스템을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서 설계한 다매체 통합 방송 송출시스템을 실험실 환경에서 기존의 시스템과 성능을 비교평가 하였다. 성능평가 결과, 시스템제어에서 프레임 단위 (1/29.97초)의 정확도가 유지되었으며, 또한 1주간의 반복적인 운영을 통한 기능시험에서 99.99%의 고가용성을 보장하였다. 본 논문의 개발시스템은 기존 여러개의 개별시스템으로 제공되던 기능과 성능을 동급이상으로 제공하면서 하나의 통합된 서버시스템으로 제공하여 좀 더 효율적인 방송 송출시스템이라고 할 수 있다.

DTV 필드테스트를 위해서는 다양한 계측장비와 운용장비를 통한 매우 많은 측정항목의 측정이 필요하다. 따라서 한 지역을 측정하는데 많은 시간이 소요될 뿐 아니라 측정자의 숙련도에 따라 측정결과의 정확도와 신뢰도가 떨어질 수 있다. 또한, 매체에 따라서는 수 천 지점 이상의 측정을 하게 되는데 이들 측정결과에 대한 체계적인 관리가 절실하다 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 다양한 계측장비와 운용장비를 체계적으로 관리하고, 측정절차를 일반화하며 측정결과 데이터를 데이터베이스화하여 측정결과를 용이하게 파악할 수 있는 통합 측정 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 DTV 뿐만 아니라 DMB, DAB 등의 다른 디지털 신호 측정에도 활용할 수 있으며, 실제로 KBS에서 실시한 DTV 필드테스트에 적용하여 기존의 수동측정 시스템보다 정확성과 시간의 효율성 면에서 우수함을 증명하였다.

In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of a multimedia information system integrating hypermdia, information retrieval, and DBMS technologies. We browse the information space through hypermedia link navigation and also use ad hoc queries for direct retrieval of information from the database. Both the hypermedia and the information retrieval systems are integrated into a database management system (DMBS) so that concurrent edition, update, and retrieval of documents can have the ACID properties of atomicity, consistency, isolation, and durability. We will first explain the architecture of the system and then, describe how the hypermedia system is integrated with information retrieval capability, and finally integrated with DBMS capabilities.

Integrated management model (SNMP/SMI) for lubiquitous egacy remote communication network or service make possible combination of various architecture. However, legacy management system cannot be applied some problems such as inefficient, complexly, implement and large network by reason of integration of voice and data, wired and wireless, and service area between service provider. For improve this, supplied JMX(Java Management eXtensions) on network management technology from SUN. JMX is integrated architecture for existing network management and monitoring. In this paper, we design and implement for integrated network management through multi-protocol agent using JMX.

Our platform introduced in this paper is based on DAVIC specifications which define high quality multimedia services with some extensions to provide user friendly and uniform interface to its users. We designed and implemented an integrated service platform for high quality interactive multimedia services, swithed digital broadcasting, and Internet services. The integration in terms of a service provider system, a delivery system, and a service user system is taken into account. Our research results in the development of integrated high quality interactive and digital broadcasting multimedia services with web-based common user interface and its experience will be feedback to the field trial service which will be launched from next year.

국내의 디지털 오디오 방송 방식으로 잠정 결정되었던 유럽의 Eureka-147 DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting)가 기술적으로 취약한 지상과 DTV의 이동수신 영역을 보완하기 위하여 종합 멀티미디어 방송인 DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting)로 진화하였다. 지상파 DMB (T-DMB)에 비디오 서비스를 도입함에 따라 이에 대한 가능성을 검증하기 위하여 정보통신부 국책과제인 '지상파 DMB 동영상 실험방송'이 실시되었다. 과제의 주요 목적은 T-DMB 방송망 구축 및 송수신 장비의 개발에 필요한 유효전계강노와 비디오 서비스 방송구역을 산정하는 것이다. 디지털 방송의 경우 송신기의 커버리지와 수신 품질을 조사하기 위해서는 비트오류율 (BER : Bit Error Rate)과 전계강도의 측정이 필수적이다. 본 논문은 T-DMB를 위한 통합 이동 측정 시스템 개발에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 비트오류율 측정을 위한 효율적인 데이터 구조와 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 이에 따라 구현된 비트오류율 측정부에 전계강도 측정부와 GPS (Global Positioning System) 수신부를 추가하여 통합 이동 측정 시스템을 완성하였고, 실험과 필드 테스트를 통해 검증하였다. 개발된 통합 이동 측정 시스템은 '지상과 DMB 동영상 실험방송 과제'에 사용되었으며, 측정결과는 T-DMB 방송망 구축을 위한 기본 자료로 사용될 예정이다.

In this paper, we developed a digital and integrated PA(Public Address) system with speech recognition and sensor connection based on IP with an ID using agent. It has facilities such as an external input, a microphone and a radio for a PA system and has speech recognition. If "fire" is spoken to the PA system then it can recognize the emergency situation and will broadcast information to the appropriate agency immediately. In addition to that, many sensors, such as temperature, humidity, and infrared, etc., can be connected to the PA system and can be integrated with the context awareness which contains many types of information about internal statuses using inference agent. Also, developed the digital integrated PA system will make it possible to broadcast the message to adaptable places using network IP based on IDs. Finally, the digital PA system is designed for operation from a PC, which makes installation and setting of operating parameters very simple and user-friendly. For implementation details, we implemented thread based concurrent processing for the events which occur concurrently from many sensors or users.

디지털 TV 방송이 본격적으로 보급됨에 따라 2004 년 후반부터 각 방송사들은 디지털 방송네트워크의 설계를 위해 본격적인 전계강도 실측을 실시하고 있다. DTV 신호 측정에는, 가장 기준이 되는 전계강도 측정기를 비롯하여 DTV 복조기(demodulator), 각종 셋톱박스, 위성항법장치(GPS)를 이용한 지형정보시스템(GIS) 등 많은 장비가 필요하고 측정항목도 다양하여, 한 지역을 측정하는데 많은 시간이 소요될 뿐 아니라 측정자의 숙련도에 따라 측정결과의 정확도와 신뢰도가 떨어질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 다양한 계측장비와 운용장비의 제어를 체계적으로 관리하고 측정절차를 일반화하며 측정결과 데이터를 데이터베이스화하여 측정결과를 용이하게 파악할 수 있는 통합 측정 시스템을 제안한다. 또한, 본 시스템은 측정 뿐 아니라 지형정보시스템과 전계강도 예측시스템을 도입하여 측정지점 주변의 수신환경 분석 및 최적 수신위치의 검색정보 등을 제공하며, 다량의 측정결과에 대한 다양한 분석이 가능하여 커버리지 분석 및 송신 네트워크의 설계 등에 활용될 수 있다.

Advanced Television System Committee(ATSC) 표준을 채택한 지상파 방송 사업자들은 프로그램 편성정보 송출 시 자기 채널 편성 정보만을 전송하기 때문에, 현재 채널을 시청하고 있는 시청자가 타 채널 편성정보를 검색하기 위해서는 타 채널로 튜닝(Tuning) 후 해당 채널에 대한 편성 정보를 받아볼 수 있다. 이러한 이유는 어느 한 지상파 방송 사업자가 자기 채널 편성정보 이외에 타 방송사의 편성정보를 송출할 수 있는 전송 대역폭의 부족 및 서로 다른 방송 사업자간의 이해관계가 원인이 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 ATSC의 데이터방송 규격인 Advanced Common Application Platform(ACAP)을 이용한 Xlet 기반의 애플리케이션으로, 자기 채널 편성정보는 현재 수신되고 있는 Program and System Information Protocol(PSIP) 규격을 이용하여 디스플레이하고, 타 방송사의 채널 편성정보 및 장르정보,양방향 데이터방송 정보 등은 리턴 채널(Return Channel)를 이용하여 서비스 될 수 있는 통합편성가이드(Integrated Scheduling Guide, ISG) 구현 방법을 제시하여 문제점을 해결하였다.

본 논문은 통합경보게이트웨이를 통하여 이기종 예 경보시스템들 간 상호 연계 및 재난 경보를 발령할 수 있는 통합경보시스템(Integrated Emergency Alert System)을 제안한다. 제안한 시스템은 재난 발령 인지를 담당하는 유관기관으로부터 재난 정보를 수집하고 이를 기존의 이기종 경보방송단말간의 연동을 위한 프로토콜로 변환하여 재난 상황 모델에 맞춰 경보 단말로 전달하는 기능을 가진다.
