  • 'Hanok(韓屋)' is the settlement that our ancestors completed for our lives through multiple verifications. Thus, there exists our nation's identity and a variety of tangible and intangible cultural elements are included in that settlement. Even though the dwelling planning of Hanok has been introduced by the modern trends of traditional style, it can not present the type of various space compositions according to the area and living characteristics and it shows a disparity in our real life through the introduction of the traditional Hanok's elements which are not fit into contemporary housing without filtration. To solve these problems, it must need to study on cases based on the present situation of the Hanok and analysis on characteristics. For the Hanok to meet the development of modern residence, there needs to study on many fields such as plan, complex, structure, material. Among them, this study intends to present the preliminary data for the improvement of Hanok's effectiveness by understanding and analyzing the current situation focusing on the natural transformation of Hanok which are currently building in Milyang Area. • In order to understand meaningful customer experience in social media, this study profiles customer engagement by exposing the essential brand experience rooms in hyper-reality contexts. This study selects Snuggie as a target brand as it uses multiple contact points, including social media, to provide meaningful experience to customers. With their unique marketing strategy, Snuggie became a popular brand among the U. S. customers beyond just a wearable blanket. Upon analyzing a total of 364 customer reviews about Snuggie in Amazon.com, five experience rooms were exposed; "Physical artifacts" and "customer involvement" are influential experience rooms which signify interactions between products and customers, while "intangible artifacts", "technology" and "customer placement" reflect a lower degree of experiential engagement. This approach suggests a theoretical foundation in understanding the customer engagement concepts by the means of brand experience dimensions in social media. The ability to create compelling engagement in social media depends on the successful facilitation of relationships and information, which lead to a creative, communicative and interactive experience.

  • When an institution adopts digital archiving, an economic analysis is required. Though the existing economic analysis considers only tangible benefits, a model to reflect the intangible benefits of digital archiving is needed. This study suggests a comprehensive economic analysis model by applying the value chain concept of information economics. A simulation is conducted on the digital archiving by adopting the concepts of value accelerating and value linking to the economic analysis, and economic factors are derived through sensitivity analysis. The results support the perception that digital archiving contributes to the enhancement of the institution's efficiency.

  • The impacts of electric service interruption to customers depend on customer and interruption characteristics. Customer characteristics include demographic aspects (residential type, and number of household members) and power supply types whereas interruption characteristics include frequency, duration, time, and day of interruption. Accordingly evaluation of these customer interruption costs is very complicated and subjective. For residential customers, customer survey method seems most appropriate because interruption impact to residential customers is intangible. In other. words, the value of housework or lost leisure due to interruption is individual. Accordingly, this paper selected the customer survey method to assess the interruption costs for residential customers.

  • Today, museum exhibition can be divided into two sub-categories: a. informative exhibition with various useful auxiliary media to convey knowledge and b. appreciative exhibition considering aesthetic conveyance and visual/perceptual environment. In addition to this, the concept of memorial exhibition as a field that tangible and intangible memories are transmitted and reproduced is creating another genre of exhibition. As an example of such a memorial exhibition above, the work of de-constructive architect Daniel Libeskind was selected. Jewish Museum and Imperial War Museum North both of which maximized the exhibition space by grafting architectural language to exhibition narrative were analyzed and compared to see if the same architectural language can be displayed differently in another form of exhibition after being drawn into the exhibition space depending on the changes in time and perspective. Therefore, in the narrative display combining the selection of exhibition contents and storytelling, the formative language of space can confirm that exhibition narrative as an ending structure changed into a retelling story with more extended meanings through interactive factors. Eventually, in this formative narrative, when the display of historical facts and exhibition themes is combined with the architectural language in an exhibition hall according to the approach direction, the memorial exhibition can create a formative language stimulating sensibility in the memories of space and a differentiated formative exhibition space where one is truly moved by oneness of contents.

  • The service sector is growing and service is complicated with various customer needs in the competitive markets. Bill Hollins urges that services must be designed. I believe that service experiences must be designed with servicescape as an environment surrounding services. Servicescape is the physical and social environments of service. Service experiences do not depend only on the aesthetic impression of physical servicescape. One of the main characteristics of services is that the most value of services are accomplished from interaction between customer and service encounters. The design of physical servicescape affects the interaction between customer and service encounters and the behavior of both customer and service suppliers' including social factors such as display emotions and the interpersonal distance between customers. Servicescape design should control tangible and intangible area of service events. In addition servicescape design creates customer's good experiences in the servicescape. This research proposes the possibilities and proper design process of servicescape design. Servicescape Design should control the activities including interrelations of participants, efficient service delivery process, and the united images of services for creating the satisfied service experience values.

  • Information scientists need not to answer whether future libraries will be a digital library or not, but to answer how they are structured and served effectively to users currently. 'The library with walls' or 'the library as place' need to be existed in the future, but 'digital library without the wall' or 'virtual library' will need to be studied continuously. This study has tried to reveal the existing problems of digital libraries and their future environment after considering the ambiguous concepts of various types of electronic libraries and their efforts for library automation, and the changed information retrieval circumstances during the last 30 to 40 years through a qualitative document study. As a result, the major findings and suggestions are prepared. The library of the future will be a part of local and national cooperative systems, be filled with the intelligent use of old and new technologies, and be able to su n.0, pport both a place with extensive collections and convenient, easy, & free access to remote intellectual resources. Also, the information storage and retrieval (ISAR) to the future library system would easily provide users with any types of data retrieval system by anybody rather than by an expert or a specialist, so called 'A&E retrieval' in the coming 21th century. It will be highly possible that the future society changes to the information marketplace whose data may be recognized as an intangible assets.
