빠르게 성장하고 있는 현대 사회에서 생산 공정에 비전 시스템을 활용하여 자동화 하고자 하는 수요가 급증하고 있는 추세이다. 일반적으로 영상 인식은 주로 자동차 번호판과 같은 양각 문자에 대한 연구가 대부분으로, 음각 문자 인식에 대한 연구가 매우 미미한 상황이다. 특히 타이어 표면과 같은 고무 관련 제품에 마킹 되어 있는 음각 문자들은 주변과의 명도 차이가 크지 않기에 문자나 숫자를 영상을 통하여 인식하기에 매우 어려움을 가지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 타이어 표면과 같은 고무 제품에 음각으로 마킹 되어 있는 문자의 인식률을 향상시키기 위한 시스템을 제안한 것으로, 조명의 환경에 따라 유연하게 적용할 수 있다. 제안 시스템을 통하여 타이어 및 고무 제품들의 생산 공정에 적용하면 생산 및 재고 관리와 불량 검출을 신속하게 처리할 수 있어 생산 효율성이 향상될 것으로 기대된다.

We propose expert system for restoration the original character form of ancient relics based on image processing and computer graphics. Letters engraved in relief like relics and intaglio like curved tombstones and letters engraved in plane or curved part of cultural asset may have been broken by a lot of rubbed copy, a long time and tide. In this paper, we suggest a new method for extracting and recovering the broken letters of cultural asset into an original form by using Z-map, morphological filter, and high frequency filter. Based on the suggested method. we develop the character recovering system.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the expressive characteristics of Chinese shadow puppetry costumes. Literature study and case analysis were conducted using books, research papers, and materials from the Xi'an shadow puppetry museum. Based on the Chinese traditional costumes, the shape characteristics are utilized with the intaglio and embossing techniques, and the complex and unnecessary details are omitted to express the costume image in a characteristic and simple manner. Second, colour was used according to the traditional Chinese symbolic colour concept, and the brighter the colour, the higher the role's status. The colour was also used to express identity and character. In addition, relatively vivid and highly saturated colours were used for the transparent effect of the shadow puppetry. Third, a role's status is indicated by the density and completeness of the patterns; the higher the role's status, the more complex and sophisticated the patterns, and the lower the status, the simpler the patterns or no patterns are used. Fourth, the faith for blessing expressed in the shadow puppetry is a representative folk auspicious culture. The repertoire of the shadow puppetry and the patterns on the costumes worn by the puppets, express the culture in an implicit way to symbolize the meaning of auspicious things.

조선왕실의 현판은 궁궐, 종묘 등 왕실과 관련된 건물에 걸어 건물의 위계와 성격을 나타낸다. 현판은 조선왕실 의궤에 제작 방법이나 재료 등을 기록하고 있어 당시 제작기술이나 재료 변화를 연구하는데 중요한 자료이다. 그러나 현재 남아 있는 현판은 전각의 화재나 전란 등으로 여러 차례 개·보수 되면서 원형과 재료가 변화되었다고 추정된다. 조선왕실의 현판은 어제·어필 현판이 많아 검은색 바탕에 금색 글자로 이루어진 형태가 주요하다. 본 연구는 조선왕실 현판 중 금색 글자로 추정되는 44점을 대상으로 글자에 남아 있는 안료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 글자 표면에 남아 있는 금색 안료의 현재 상태와 검출된 구성성분에 따라 분류하였다. 글자 안료의 분석 결과 금(Au) 성분이 주요하게 검출된 현판은 양각 24점과 음각 5점이며, 양각 15점은 황동(Cu, Zn) 성분이 주요하게 검출되었다. 황동 성분이 검출된 현판 중 일부는 금색 안료가 아닌 청록색 안료만 남아 있는 상태이다. 황동 안료는 문헌에 기록이 없고 현재 단청 안료로 사용하고 있지 않아 황동 안료의 적용 가능성을 알아보기 위해 재현실험을 실시하였다. 재현실험은 재료의 한계로 황동안료의 적용 유무와 사용 방법을 확인하기 어려웠으나 앞으로 황동 안료의 사용 시기와 방법에 대한 연구가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.
