  • This study analyzed the direct costs of fall accidents, which have the highest accident rate, for domestic construction industry workers. Firstly, the average insurance payment per person due to fall accidents in the construction industry is around 19 million won (18,971,000 won). Given that the average number of workers suffering fall accidents over ten years is 5,863, the total cost of losses from fall accidents is about 1.1 trillion won (111,360,000,000 won). Secondly, a cost-based economic feasibility analysis was done to develop nonstructural preventive measures for fall accidents. Since there was no data expressing the costs and effects of preventive measures in terms of monetary value, the economic feasibility analysis was attempted with a focus on how much the newly introduced preventive measures can reduce the accident loss costs due to fall accidents. Thirdly, if the accident loss size is grasped and the preventive measures for the causes of fall accidents are developed and strictly implemented, the insurance fee that can reduce the accident loss costs can be determined. Further study is needed to estimate the benefit of the accident loss cost reduction seen from the cost-based approach method.

  • This study, in order to complement instability of analysis result stemming from the choice between reference point and comparison point which is pointed out as the defect of shift-share analysis, conducted shift-share analysis using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) trend of Geumgang area, Chungcheongnam-do for the period from 2000 to 2011. As a result of the analysis, (1) industries that had both the positive Regional Share Effect (RSE) and Industrial Mixed Effect (IME) were service industries such as manufacturing industry, electricity gas, transportation industry, art, etc., which are positively influencing the regional industry. (2) industries that had both the negative RSE and IME were other service industries such as wholesale and retail businesses, lodging industry, food industry, real estate business and leasing service, business service industry, public administration, etc., which provide basic livelihood services for the residents. (3) industries that had the positive RSE and negative IME were agriculture, forestry and fishery industry, mining industry, construction industry, and educational service industry. • Related incidents and accidents are frequent after 2000 years, such as the outbreak of the Taian peninsula crude oil spillage and Gumi hydrofluoric acid leakage accident. In the wake of such environmental pollution accidents, Consensus has been formed to enact legislation on liability for the compensation of environmental pollution in 2014 and the rescue, and has been in force since January 2016. Therefore, in the domestic insurance industry, the introduced environmental liability insurance system needs to be managed through the standardization formula of a new insurance model for managing the environmental risk. This study has been carried out by the emergence of a safe insurance model with a risky nature of the risk type, which is one of the services of the knowledge base. The verification of the six assurance media on the occurrence of environmental pollution such as chemical, waste, marine, soil, etc. is expressed through semantic interoperability through this possible ontology. The insurance model was designed and presented by deducing the relationship between the amount of money and the amount of money that was written in the area of existing expertise, In order to exclude the possible consequences, the concept of abstract is conceptualized in the form of a customer, and a plan for the future development of an ontology-based decision support system is proposed to reduce the cost and resources consumed every year. It is expected that standardization of the verification standard of the mass of mass will minimize errors and reduce the time and resources required for verification.

  • Objective: This study aims to explore the opinions on the insurance coverage of artificial intelligence (AI), as categorized based on the distinct value elements offered by AI, with a specific focus on patient-centered outcomes (PCOs). PCOs are distinguished from traditional clinical outcomes and focus on patient-reported experiences and values such as quality of life, functionality, well-being, physical or emotional status, and convenience. Materials and Methods: We classified the value elements provided by AI into four dimensions: clinical outcomes, economic aspects, organizational aspects, and non-clinical PCOs. The survey comprised three sections: 1) experiences with PCOs in evaluating AI, 2) opinions on the coverage of AI by the National Health Insurance of the Republic of Korea when AI demonstrated benefits across the four value elements, and 3) respondent characteristics. The opinions regarding AI insurance coverage were assessed dichotomously and semi-quantitatively: non-approval (0) vs. approval (on a 1-10 weight scale, with 10 indicating the strongest approval). The survey was conducted from July 4 to 26, 2023, using a web-based method. Responses to PCOs and other value elements were compared. Results: Among 200 respondents, 44 (22%) were patients/patient representatives, 64 (32%) were industry/developers, 60 (30%) were medical practitioners/doctors, and 32 (16%) were government health personnel. The level of experience with PCOs regarding AI was low, with only 7% (14/200) having direct experience and 10% (20/200) having any experience (either direct or indirect). The approval rate for insurance coverage for PCOs was 74% (148/200), significantly lower than the corresponding rates for other value elements (82.5%-93.5%; P ≤ 0.034). The approval strength was significantly lower for PCOs, with a mean weight ± standard deviation of 5.1 ± 3.5, compared to other value elements (P ≤ 0.036). Conclusion: There is currently limited demand for insurance coverage for AI that demonstrates benefits in terms of non-clinical PCOs.

As an analysis result, it was found that the effect on product inducement and employment inducement was very high. Like that, it is necessary to establish export connection strategy to escape from narrow domestic market and advance into world market in order to develop food industry, which has a high ripple effect on domestic market. For the export connection of food industry, it is possible to enlarge overseas market demand of domestic food industry by providing domestic food companies with export-concerned information such as overseas export market information and food market information, advertising world market for domestic food industry actively through the globalization of Korea food, securing food processing technology, removing export unavailability risk through the export insurance policy and advertizing the safety of food industry through the reinforcement of food safety control standard and penalty standard.

When oil spill from the oil tanker, damages reach into the astronomical figures in economically and damages affect wide area and many people with break the balance of ecosystem. Recently in Korea, the oil pollution accidents has occurred frequently as growing of oil consumption and it caused large-scale damages to the victim. • In this study, the performance of the CART(Classification and Regression Tree) is compared with that of discriminant analysis method. In most experiments using bank data, discriminant analysis shows better performance in terms of the total cost. In contrast, most experiments using insurance data show that the CART is better than discriminant analysis in terms of the total cost. The contradictory result are analysed by using the characteristics of the data sets. The performances of both the Classification and Regression Tree and discriminant analysis depend on the parameters:failure prior probability, data used, type I error, type II error cost, and validation method.
