Study on Current Limiting Characteristics of YBCO Thin-Film Wire with Insulation Layer

  • When applying superconducting wire to power machines, an investigation needs to be carried out on the characteristics of wire phase changes in connection with the insulating layer. This study examined trends in the increase of the wire's resistance and the characteristics of its recovery from quenching by a current-applied cycle at temperatures of 90 K, 180 K, and 250 K. The procedure was conducted based on the thickness and presence (or absence) of the insulating wire layers. To achieve this, YBCO thin-film wires with the same critical temperatures were prepared with copper and stainless steel stabilizing layers. At levels (-one, three, and five-), with superior performance, polyimide pressure-sensitive adhesive tape was attached to the wires at a very low temperature. The eight prepared test samples were wound around the linear frames. The wire's voltage and current created from the phase change characteristics were measured at the wire's prescribed temperature, using the four-point probe method. The wire's resistance and recovery characteristics were examined for each cycle at temperatures of 90 K, 180 K, and 250 K.

154 kV 및 345 kV 주변압기 부싱의 내진성능 시험 연구 (The Experimental Study on Seismic Capacity of 154 kV & 345 kV Main Transformer Bushings)

  • In this study, seismic performance of bushings and their connection parts was analyzed by performing shaking table tests for various types of bushings widely used as auxiliary equipment of main transformers in domestic substations. As a result of the seismic tests of five types of 154 kV bushings according to the manufacturers, all the bushings secured the structural integrity even at the acceleration of 1.4 g and it was found that leakage of insulating oil didn't occur. Also, the average acceleration amplification rate at the upper part of the bushings was about 2.5 to 3.0 times higher than the lower one. On the other hand, when a representative 345 kV bushing was subjected to the seismic test, the structural integrity was secured even at 1.0 g acceleration similar to the design earthquake load level, but in this test, leakage of insulating oil occurred. However, when a stiffener restricting the connection of the bushing is installed in the same 345 kV bushing, the displacement of the bushing connection is controlled and the stiffener prevent the oil from leaking even at the acceleration of the designed seismic level.

  • According to the trend for electric power equipment of high capacity and reduction of its size, the needs for the new high performance electric equipments become more and more important. On of the possible solution is high temperature superconducting (HTS) power application. Following the successful development of practical HTS wires, there have been renewed activities in developing superconducting power equipment. HTS equipments have to be operated in a coolant such as liquid nitrogen ($LN_2$) or cooled by conduction-cooling method such as using Gifford-McMahon (G-M) cryocooler to maintain the temperature below critical level. In this paper, the dielectric strength of some insulating materials, such as unfilled epoxy, filled epoxy, and polyimide in $LN_2$ was analyzed. Epoxy is a good insulating material but fragile at cryogenic temperature. The filled epoxy composite not only compensates for this fragile property but enhances its dielectric strength.

  • 본 연구는 단열성능 향상 재료의 타입별 단열콘크리트의 레올로지 특성을 분석하여 최적 유동설계 및 펌핑해석을 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 하였다. 그 결과 경량골재 혼입시 항복응력이 큰 폭으로 감소한 것으로 나타났으며, 2 type의 경우 마이크로기포제 (MFA) + 규조토 미분말(DM)의 조합이 가장 이상적인 유동특성을 나타내었다. 또한 3 type의 경우 마이크로기포제(MFA) + 규조토 미분말(DM) + 경량골재(L)의 조합이 가장 우수한 유동특성을 나타내었다.

불평등 전계에서 변압기 절연유 절연파괴 연구 (Study on the Breakdown of the Transformer Insulating Oil in Nonuniform Electric Field)

  • A breakdown voltage and breakdown electric field of the transformer insulating oil of liquid dielectric were studied in uniform electric field and non-uniform electric field and the transformer insulating oil was observed by the process reached breakdown. Insulation performance evaluation of the liquid dielectric was evaluated at the electrode spacing of 2.5 mm under the conditions of domestic and international standards (KS C IEC 60156), so a comparative review was conducted at the electrode spacing of 2.5 mm. When the electrode spacing is 2.5 mm, the average breakdown voltage is 38.5 kV for sphere-sphere electrodes, 26.6 kV for plate-plate electrodes, 22.9 kV for needle-needle electrodes, and 24.3 kV for sphere-needle electrodes. 23.7 kV for the sphere-plate electrode, and 20.7 kV for the needle-plate electrode. From these results, it can be seen that the average value of the breakdown voltage at the electrode spacing of 2.5 mm, in ascending order, is sphere-sphere, plate-plate, sphere-needle, sphere-plate, needle-needle and needle-plate. It was found that the breakdown voltage of the unequal field was lower than that of the equal field.

송엽분과 질석을 포함한 준불연 단열복합보드의 개발 (Development of Semi-Incombustible Composite Insulating Board Containing Pine Leaf Powder and Vermiculite)

  • 본 연구는 송엽분과 질석을 주 원료로 하여 건축용 및 선박용으로 적용될 수 있는 준불연 단열복합보드를 개발하고 불연성능, 준불연성능, 보드 전체의 열관류율을 평가하였다. 가연성 물질인 송엽분과 유연바인더의 비율에 따라 보드의 화재저항성능이 결정되었으며, 가연물질이 불포함된 보드의 경우 불연성능을 확보하였다. 송엽분 6%를 첨가한 보드는 준불연 성능을 확보할 수 있었으며, 그 이상의 송엽분이 포함되거나 가연성의 바인더가 첨가될 경우 준불연 성능을 확보할 수 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 글래스울과 폴리우레탄 뿜칠을 단열층으로 하고 개발된 불연/준불연 보드를 이용하여 1차 마감한 복합벽체는 200 mm 두께에서 국내법규 상의 건축물 단열기준을 상회하여 만족하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Epoxy-based composites find extensive application in electronic packaging due to their excellent processability and insulation properties. However, conventional epoxy-based polymers exhibit limitations in terms of thermal properties and insulation performance. In this study, we develop epoxy-based siloxane/silica composites that enhance the thermal, mechanical, and insulating properties of epoxy resins. This is achieved by employing a sol-gel-synthesized siloxane hybrid and spherical fused silica particles. Herein, we fabricate two types of epoxy-based siloxane/silica composites with different siloxane molecular structures (branched and linear siloxane networks) and investigate the changes in their properties for different compositions (with or without silica particles) and siloxane structures. The presence of a branched siloxane structure results in hardness and low insulating properties, while a linear siloxane structure yields softness and highly insulating properties. Both types of epoxy-based siloxane/silica composites exhibit high thermal stability and low thermal expansion. These properties are considerably improved by incorporating silica particles. We expect that our developed epoxy-based composites to hold significant potential as advanced electronic packaging materials, offering high-performance and robustness.

  • In this study shall investigate the influence upon the electrical property of transformer oil due to the heat among accelerated heat degradation experiment for a constant hour in the typical insulation oils of mineral base oil, silicon base oil and vegetable oil. In addition, the electric insulation performance of insulation materials in transformer shall be evaluated through the electric property analysis according to the heat degradation of epoxy insulation material, which has been used for electric facilities such as a molded transformer.

  • The analysis for furan compound has provided a complementary technique to dissolved gas analysis(DGA) for monitoring transformers when total concentration of CO and $CO_2$ dissolved in oil only has been evaluated the aging of insulating paper. But, the analysis of furanic compounds by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) has been important more than DGA recently. Because it has been known that furanic components in transformer oil have come only from the decomposition of insulating paper. Therefore we have manufactured accelerating aging cell which was aged during 60 hours at 100, 150, 180 and $200^{\circ}C$, respectively, for investigating the characteristics of cellulose paper by thermal using analysis for CO, $CO_2$ and furan compound.

  • In past, transformer connection study was concentrated on efficiency improvement and life time broadening. But environmental side began to become important recently. In existing, quick transaction of mineral oil used to insulation oil of transformer is possibility to be difficult and causes environmental pollution in case of was outpoured and there is worry of fire occurrence. Accordingly, nonflammable performance becomes many interest in excellent vegetable oil because ignition point is high than mineral oil and environment friendly material. But, vegetable oil is cooling of transformer and insulation problem of insulating paper for cause of insulation oil special quality. Therefore, in this paper, special quality of vegetable oil that there are being a lot of mineral oil and the latest interest examined about problem and consideration item to be solved to analyzed comparison and applies vegetable oil to transformer for electric power.
