Purpose: To investigate the relationships among stress, depression, family function, and activities of daily living in elderly females. Methods: Using a descriptive correlation for the study design, data was collected from 134 elderly females older than 60 years of age. Result: The level of depression among the subjects was 6.04($\pm5.30$) and level of stress was 1.62($\pm.70$). The performance capacity of the activities of daily living was 17.79($\pm0.87$), and the instrumental activities of daily living was 22.33($\pm2.66$). The family function was 2.82($\pm3.47$). Depression and stress showed a positive correlation(p<.001) and had a negative correlation with family function(p=.025), as the correlation with instrumental activities of daily living was negatively related(p=.008). Stress had a positive relationship with family function(p<.001). and was negatively related to instrumental activities of daily living (p=.041). Conclusion: For health promotion of elderly females, it is critical to make an effort to establish and constantly develop a program, as well as policy for the health of the elderly considering and understanding gender differences.

The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between instrumental tenderness parameters and histochemical characteristics in the porcine longissimus dorsi muscle, and to investigate a comparison between tenderness parameters such as the Warner-Bratzler shear-force (WBS) and texture profile analysis (TPA). A negative relationship between WBS and fiber area was observed. However, there was no significant relationship between hardness and muscle fiber area. The percentage of fiber type IIb exhibited a positive correlation with hardness. There was a negative relationship between the type IIa composition percentage and hardness. This study showed that some muscle fiber characteristics were related to WBS and TPA parameters, especially hardness.

Considerate design enhances the familiarity, consideration and design accessibility of various customers. The aim of this study lies on analyzing the aesthetic characteristics and instrumental characteristics of fashion design and applying the considerate design principles. The fashion photograph collection that applies the considerate design principle, was collected from 2006 S/S to 2011 F/W through the following internet site: www. style. com. First, the considerate design key words used in the preceding studies and literatures were classified semantically into these words: "Supportiveness", "Variability", "Ease", "Protection". The result shows that considerate fashion design has used simple, comfortable and achromatic, squared silhouettes that are not affected by the changing trend, simple color coordination and hard materials to prolong the product and the plain pattern. By analyzing the instrumental characteristics of considerate fashion design according to the principles, designs of "Supportiveness" purposely used many changes and showed reversible ways the most. Designs of "Variability" used design changes in length, volume, detail, and other changing forms. Designs of "Ease" used easy-wear apparel, ties and pleats. Designs of "Protection" partially used coverings and different combinations.

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of oligosaccharide addition on Jeung-Pyun fermentation. Fructooligosaccharide (FOS), isomaltooligosaccharide (IMOS), galactooligosaccharide (GOS) were used at the concentration of 15%, 25% or 35% of the rice in Jeung-Pyun ingredients. The physicochemical properties, sensory evaluation and instrumental characteristics were examined. The internal structure of Jeung-Pyun samples was observed by SEM. The pH of Jeung-Pyun batters was decreased as the fermentation progressed. Compared with the control using sucrose, the specific volume of Jeung-Pyun was higher in the 15% and 25% of oligosaccharide-added samples. The degree of gelatinization decreased more slowly than control as the storage time increased both at 20$\^{C}$ and 4$\^{C}$. In sensory evaluation, Jeung-Pyun with FOS and IMOS at the levels of 25∼35% and GOS at the levels of 25% showed the best scores. In instrumental characteristics, springiness, gumminess, hardness and cohesiveness were similar among all samples during storage at 20$\^{C}$ and 4$\^{C}$. In the internal structure of Jeung-Pyun observed by SEM, Jeung-Pyun substituted with oligosaccharide at the levels of 25% for sucrose showed large and regularly distributed air pores. In conclusion, the replacement of sucrose with oligosaccharide in Jeung-Pyun ingredients appeared acceptable in terms of fermentative aspects.

The study seeks to conduct an oral stereognosis assessment of the elderly, identify characteristics and confirm the association with cognition, Instrumental Activities of Daily Living(IADL), Quality of Life(QOL). Oral stereognosis(OS) was evaluated on 20 senior citizens aged 75 or older living in Gyeonggi-do. Cognition was used as MoCA-K(Montreal Cognitive Assessment-Korean), IADL as K-IADL(Korean Instrumental Activities of Daily Living), and QOL as GQOL(Geriatric Quality of Life scale). OS decreases accuracy with age, unaffected by the level of education. Shapes with clear edges and broad sides were found to be easy to recognize. OS is related to cognition, IADL and QOL. Through this study, the OS of the elderly could predict the functional level and QOL, including cognition. Therefore, it can be used as a basic research for the physical and mental health management of the elderly through oral lectures, and the development of oral stereognosis tools for the elderly through large scale subjects should be made.

The purpose of this study was to identify the factors affecting mental health status according to gender of persons with physical disabilities and to try their healthy life. Using the 6th Korean Retirement and Income Study, 333 persons with physical disabilities were included in the study. Descriptive statistics, t-test, and regression analysis were conducted to examine the general characteristics, instrumental activities of daily living, material support, and the effects on mental health status. There was no statistically significant difference in mental health status by gender, but there was a difference in Instrumental Activities of Daily Living and life satisfaction. In the case of males, instrumental daily activities performance, material support, depression, and life satisfaction were found to be influential. In the case of females, spouse, depression, and life satisfaction were factors affecting mental health status. Based on the results of this study, we will be able to understand persons with physical disabilities and use them as a basis for developing mental health promotion programs.

Hoseonmu belongs to the genre of a composite of song, music, and dance. At that time, there was no widely known record of Hoseonmu in Baekje, but it is clear that it was popular enough to be invited to Changan by Emperor Yang of Sui. The musical instruments, songs, and dances were analyzed through the research method of literature and the content of the Hoseonmu version was established. The setting of the stage for the performance of Baekje instrumental music reveals its characteristics through sabangak from Gigaku in the neighboring countries. The stage for Hoseonmu was set up utilizing the creation of the imperial performance stage in the Baekje instrumental music. In particular, Hoseonmu has two types: heavenly and earthly. The heavenly Hoseonmu can be found on the wall of the Cave No. 220 formed in the Chodang (618-707) era. They include Dongbang Pharmacopoeia jingbian and Western Paradise jingbian. Hoseonmu would have chosen to be the fast-paced spinning dance. Motions for Hoseonmu could be set up through them. Meanwhile, Mimaji's instrumental dance is presented. Six dancers appear in two turns of the performance. Four dancers in front row and other two in the back are dressed up as hunters, wearing goblin masks, and holding flowering plum tree branches in their right hands. Through this, the movements and costumes of Hoseonmu are reproduced in more detail. Various sectors of education, theater, dance, and tourism in the Hoseonmu contents of Baekje instrumental music contributed to the Korean Wave.

The sensory and instrumental characteristics of defatted and lipid-reintroduced kidney bean, mung bean and corn starch gels stored for 3 hrs and 24 hrs at room temperature were investigated. In sensory evaluation of starch gels, acceptability was highly correlated with hardness, bend property, cohesiveness and springiness. Mung bean starch gels showed sinigficantly highest value and followed by corn and kidney bean starch gels. Generally as for these factors, defatted starch gels were higher than untreated ones. The properties of defatted and lipid-reintroduced corn starch gels were similar to those of mung bean starch gels. In instrumental analysis, hardness was more important factor than any other ones. Hardness showed significantly higher value in the other of mung bean, corn and kidney bean starch gels, but it was highest in defatted starch gels among all treated gels. Hardness and springiness of defatted and lipid-reintroduced corn starch gels were similar to those of mung bean starch gels. Hardness of 24 hr stored starch gels increased more than that of 3 hr stored ones, but other textural factors did not change.

We examined the characteristics of the SNU uvby, $H_{\beta}$ filter system through the computation of theoretical photometric indices and the transformation of the observed instrumental system to the natural and standard systems.
