  • The purpose of this study is to develope instructional strategies and assessment model for distance learning in interior design education in Korea. Literature from various sources were examined to provide guidelines for instructional and technical strategies, communication system, and administrative process. Strategies and assessment model for transition to distance learning from goal setting to program evaluation were introduced. The results of this study indicated that distance learning in interior design education is optimized when applied in studio critique, portfolio production, and professional practice and with other traditional programs depending on the characteristics of the instructional materials. It is suggested for further studies that various distance learning programs based on instructional theories to be conducted and evaluated in different areas of interior design education for their maximum application as instructional tool.

  • This study was conducted for the purpose of developing a design thinking-based capstone design instructional model for pre-service teachers. Through the analysis of literature related to learner-centered instruction, design thinking and capstone design instructional design principles and instructional models for pre-service teacher education were discovered, and core elements were derived. Based on the core elements derived through literature analysis, the capstone design instructional design model and teaching and learning model based on design thinking for pre-service teachers were developed. The developed model conducted a total of three Delphi surveys including expert validation for 6 experts related to education including design thinking, capstone design, was revised, supplemented, and the final draft was confirmed. The final results of this study contain the overall contents of the instructional design, instructor's activities in detailed steps, and guidelines for learners' activities.

  • Since 1970', the international community has displayed a heightened consciousness concerning the Earth environment and Environmental Education has became to be as survival strategies for the environment and human life. For developing the model of instructional procedure for educating environmental behaviors in environmental education, this study analyzed the objectives, characteristics, contents, instructional methods and instructional procedures of case studies that were awarded the first prize of the Contest of the Case Study in Korea that were had charged by KFTA. The main results of this study were as follows :(1) the more objectives for environmental education were focused on “formulating values and attitudes for the environment”, some objectives for “skills” need to investigate or solve the environmental issues were found, and some objectives for “environmental behaviors”. (2) the more contents of environmental education were focused on “environmental pollutions” (3) the more instructional methods for environmental education used for “investigating or experiment” to solve the environmental issues or problems, some methods for “taking actions for the environment”. (4) the most of case studies were used the model of environmental instruction that were developed by KEDI in 1988. Conclusionally, This study suggested that you have to emphasis on level of responsible citizen behaviors to resolve the environmental issues or problems in the environmental instructional procedures.

  • This study aims to suggest a model and instructional strategies for a flipped classroom using First Principles of Instruction in engineering education in order to organize teaching and learning activities in a flipped classroom. For this purpose, the authors analyzed the literature on the flipped classroom in engineering education and on applying First Principles of Instruction in designing flipped classroom. Then, a framework of flipped classroom employing First Principles of Instruction and instructional strategies were suggested. Two experts examined the validity of the model and of the instructional strategies, and the final version was completed reflecting on those feedback. Since engineering education aims to teach procedural knowledge as well as conceptual knowledge, different instructional strategies upon two types of knowledge were presented. The implication of our work is to illustrate the model and tactics for flipped classroom based on the Merrill's deeply rooted pedagogical approach. This study may contribute to practice in engineering education.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop instructional design model of flipped learning suitable for engineering education field and to draw out effects and improvements by applying it to actual lessons for engineering college students. Literature review and case studies were conducted to achieve the purpose of the study. For a case study, flipped learning was applied to 'creative problem solving methodology' which is a liberal arts course of engineering college at D university in Gyeonggi-do. As a result of the literature review, the PARTNER model was applied and weekly instructional guide was presented by each stage. In addition, the results of analysis on the reflection journal showed that the students were more able to achieve the deepening learning stage through active participation in class than the existing class, and found that they had a more challenging plan after the class.

  • In this study, a smart Learning instruction model for school library was developed in terms of library instruction. Based on ADDIE model and ASSURE model, this model is organized considering the characteristics of school library, including facilities, materials, human resources, information problem solving process, collaborative teaching and blended learning, and utilizing smart devices. The entire procedure of this model is as follows: "establishment of instructional objectives${\rightarrow}$learner analysis${\rightarrow}$analyzing the learning environment${\rightarrow}$analyzing the learning task${\rightarrow}$instructional process design${\rightarrow}$developing instructional tool${\rightarrow}$instruction${\rightarrow}$evaluation". In addition, an instructional practice is provided for actual experience of smart Learning in school libraries.

  • The smart education recognized new educational paradigm is going to be introduced in earnest in the field from 2015. We develop the instructional design model for smart education to be able to provide a guide to design the instruction which has a speciality compared to current instruction. Furthermore, we did an expert assessment to recognize the validation and applicability of developed instructional design model and then apply this model to the field. As a result, we drew a positive conclusion for this instructional design model, which provides a base of systemic instructional design in smart education environment and focuses on expanding the ability of students living on 21st century. We expect that this study will be useful for teachers in the field who perform the smart education.

  • The aim of this study is to apply lesson design of high school home economics to model which consists of six steps of instructional procedure among various models for instructional design, Through thesis, central content of each step was written as follows; 1) At the step of establishment of terminal instructional objectives, educational objectives, terminal instructional objectives was analyzed and specific instructional objectives was extracted. 3) At the step of diagnosis of entering behavior, ability of prior learning and ability of preliminary learning were evaluated, which was used as establishing instructional strategy and doing individual guidance. 4)At the step of determining instructional strategy, instructional strategy should be extracted by considering instructional event which is adequate to content of instruction. Instructional strategy consists of five main factor, factors, those are, activity of introduction of instruction, presentation of content of instruction and information, participation of learner and learning activity, identification of learning result, and subsequent treatment after evaluation. 5)Specific activity at the step of selection and development of instructional media consists of reidentification of instructional objectives determination of learning type, drawing up instructional media analysis sheet, synthesis of selected media, and explanatory note of selected media. In order to increase efficiency of instruction at the step of determining instructional strategy, this step should be considered simultaneously. 6)The step of try-out and evaluation of instructional design should be efficient when designed instruction was inputted at class after evaluation of each step of instructional design.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and validate an unplugged instructional model for pre-service teachers' SW competences in higher education. The unplugged instructional model was developed through the following procedures; 1) developing the 1st model based on the results of literature review, 2) getting test for use by one practicing instructor, 3) collecting the opinions of learners who participated in the unplugged instruction, and 4) getting model validation by 4 experts. The developed unplugged instructional model consists of 6 phases: 'stimulating of learners' motivation', 'introducing learning activities', 'constructing an activities', experiencing unplugged activities', 'extending and generating outcome of unplugged learning', and 'reflecting' in addition, each phase includes learning activities. The validation results confirm that the unplugged instructional model was both reliable.
