  • As technology advances rapidly, emergency medical dispatching systems must also advance. Optimal emergency medical dispatching requires the courage to practice medicine at dispatch. Modern emergency medical dispatch provides appropriate resource responses with the use of an (Advanced Medical priority Dispatch System(AMPDS) in U.S.A. The AMPDS is a systematic protocol for all aspects of the dispatch process. Based on the AMPDS chief complaint list, we initiated a basic design on pre-arrival instruction protocol and completed the scripted pre-arrival instruction protocol, using Cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) protocol. Implementation of this study creates computerized emergency medical dispatching system for future enhancements, such as the AMPDS.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of an application specific instruction-set processor developed for embedded DSP applications. The instruction-set has an uniform size of 16 bits, and supports 3 types of instructions: Primitive, Complex, and Specific. To reduce code size and cycle count we introduce complex instructions that can be selected according to the application under consideration, which leads to 50% code size reduction maximally. The processor has two independent data memories to double the data throughput and the address space. The processor is synthesized by 0.6$\mu$m single-poly double-metal technology. Critical path simulation shows that the maximum frequency is 110MHz and total gate count is 132, 000.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest improved Special Instruction Classrooms(SIC) in terms of architectural planning based on the analysis of design characteristics and problems. For this study, SICs in 20 elementary schools located in Daegu were selected and investigated. The results of investigation showed that: first, the vertical separation type is mostly preferred for the layout of SICs; second, the top floor is preferred for the location of SICs. We suggest that first, each SIC should be located with consideration of the characteristics of subjects(); second, the degree of adjacency-room preference for each room should be taken into consideration for the zoning of the SICs(, ); finally, a direction for improvement for suitable architectural design of each SICs should be based on the feasibility of learning space().

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze of how the elementary school teachers lead their classes of a science laboratory instruction and an engineering laboratory instruction in a science subject class. For this study, science laboratory and engineering laboratory lessons were selected and for each science and engineering laboratory lesson, five elementary school teachers were video-recorded of their lessons. The science and engineering laboratory lessons were analyzed by utilizing processes of the science model and the engineering model based on Schauble et al. (1991). The results of these studies are as follows: In science laboratory instruction, some participants didn't distinguish the difference between the science laboratory goal and the engineering laboratory goal. All of participants used search and end strategy of engineering laboratory for science laboratory lesson. In engineering laboratory instruction, all of participants guided to students engineering laboratory goal and used inferences and search strategy of engineering laboratory. However they didn't use the trial and error strategy or redesign which can be an essential element in engineering and design process. Educational implications are discussed.

  • WBI(Web Based Instruction) has been confined to some course due to a burden of development of instruction materials. In this paper, we implemented a personalized instruction and learning system for Word Processor based on Internet by using WBI. Compared to the traditional instruction and learning method for Word Processor Education, the proposed method induce students to take an interest in the learning and make it possible to do student oriented instruction and learning due to the selection of specific contents according to student's ability and his/her learning step. And this system can evaluate the learning rate on the spot by using personalized homework and maximize learning effect by using feedback.

  • In present, an education paradigm of new info-age is consisting by using the Internet in education field, and as that practical use of internet in education is in increasing trend and various education method is showed. Also, as using the web by teacher and student, teacher can achieve efficiently instruction and student management and students can handle various kinds item about studies efficiently. But much of the existent systems were drived on instruction management, systems of student management are very few. Therefore, in this paper, we designed and implemented system that can efficiently manage instruction and student in web. Implemented system was designed by dividing teacher module and student module and various function for instruction management and student management were included in teacher module and in student module include various functions with related to as class, report and result record.

  • Design discipline requires more specialized and sophisticated information literacy competencies necessary to effectively find and apply the information that students need for their teaming and the future independent designer than are outlined in general information literacy competencies. Therefore, The goals of this study is to identify specific information literacy competencies within the Design Discipline. This research analyzed design-specific core information literacy competencies through the literature analysis on the design goals & curriculum of four domestic universities and the NASAD standards & guidelines and verified those by Delphi Survey. The result showed that design discipline requires commonly 26 specific core competencies in seven broad categories and the these competencies are related to the time for information literacy Instruction. Also, The result analyzed that such majors in design as product design, visual design, need additionally more specialized and detailed competencies with specific focus and that design discipline requires commonly the information literacy competencies about general studies & fundamental ability.

  • Teachers must design instruction to meet effective teaching and learning before teaching implementation. The traditional models of instructional design such as Dick and Carey, ADDIE and ASSURE have been widely applied. However, the traditional models of instructional design have limitation in that students fail in deep understanding of subject content because of break down essential goal of the unit small pieces of contents. To solve this problem, Wiggins and McTighe have suggested backward design. Backward design is a method of designing instruction by setting evaluation before choosing activities or content to teach. Therefore, this study explores the effective teaching and learning by analyzing structure of backward design and appling backward design to 'Library and Information Life' subject for information literacy education. Backward design for 'Library and Information Life' subject applies the template which Wiggins and McTighe devised for instructional design.

  • In a small-scale class, children gradually lose interests in studying and develop negative and passive attitudes in class activities due to the uniform education. Although many cooperative instruction WBI models are studied and designed, there has not been any research on cooperative instruction model appropriate for a small-scale class. In this study, instructors participate in classes, each in connection with other small-scale classes, and WWW based cooperative instruction model, WIEZ, which can affect students' learning attitude on long-term basis, was designed and embodied. Currently, WIEZ is being under experimental test in three schools at Kyung-nam where instructors design classes, and students divided into groups participate in classes in this system.
