In this paper, a new high resolution XGA-SLM is implemented through modification of a commercial TFT-LCD beam projector and its optical modulation characteristics as a spatial light modulator(SLM) is also analyzed. First, the optics module, projection lamp and fans are removed from a commercial beam projector and instead some electric circuits to compensate their removal are manufactured and then, by inserting them into the beam projector, a new XGA-SLM is finally implemented. Second, from some optical experimental results, this TFT-SLM is found to have a good optical linearity in amplitude and phase modulation characteristics as a function of the input gray levels. Especially, through implementation of a binary phase-type correlator such as BPEJTC by using the suggested TFT-LCD panel, the implemented SLM is proposed as a new relatively low-cost and high resolution SLM for optical information processing.

This paper shows the method of winding connection and the balance of three phase of dual inverter systems used for offshore wind power generator. In order to satisfy low cost manufacturing of large scaled wind generator, the number of slot per pole per phase should be reduced. For this reason, in this research, the number is selected as '1' which is the minimum number that stator can have. Based on the prototype machine, three types of machine for the analysis are selected, and various performances especially in terms of electrically balanced condition are also investigated. Moreover, in this paper, new inductance modeling of dual 3-phase considering cross-coupling between two inverter systems is proposed. The several inductances such as mutual-, synchronous inductances are studied. By using FEA, based on calculated the flux linkage of d and q-axis, the validity of the proposed inductance modeling is confirmed.

As issues on light pollution is being raised recently, movements to prevent light pollution is being implemented by each local government, such as by enforcing the Light Pollution Act from February 2013, in order to require compliance with the light-emitting permission level of existing lighting facilities. However, despite the regulations, no specific measures on products are being prepared. Thus, this Research has designed a light shield as a measure to minimize the burden of the effectiveness and time required for development and the burden of the cost necessary to re-install existing light facilities in its entirety and reviewed the effect of the measure through the BUG ratings.

In this paper, material handing cleanroom stocker system for thin film solar cell line of photovoltaic industry and liquid crystal display line of flat panel display industry was selected for the study. Optimum solution for stocker system's CPS(Contactless Power Supply) is approached by changing the motion pattern, optimizing design & production, and analyzing characteristics of the power system. As a result, acceleration time of X-Axis changed from 3 sec to 4 sec, changed the input characteristic of CPS within approximately 11[kW]. This result shows that extending acceleration time of the X-Axis in Stocker Crane's motion pattern can reduce the capacity of the CPS, thus saving the manufacturing cost.

경관조명은 야간관광자원 활성화를 통한 대외 경쟁력을 강화하고, 도시경쟁력을 향상시키며, 관광객들에게 도시 브랜드를 전달할 수 있는 수단으로 중요시되고 있다. 본 연구는 경관조명의 활성화에 따른 유지관리 비용을 절감할 수 있는 방안을 검토하기 위하여 국제 조명위원회(CIE)에서 제시하고 있는 조도 및 휘도 기준을 조사하였으며, 한강상 교량과 일산호수공원의 일부 지역에 대한 경관조명 설치현황 및 전력요금 사용실태를 조사하였다. 또한 '조명연출방법'과 '조명자재 선정에 의한 방법'에 따라 유지관리 비용 절감 현황을 검토하였으며, 각 회로를 세분화 하여 시간대별 제어가 가능하도록 하고, 조명연출에 적합한 조명 자재를 선정하여 적용함으로써 유지관리 비용이 절감됨을 알 수 있었다.

Transverse Linear Motor(TFLM) has been using in many areas of manufacture such as LCD, PDP construction and etc. However, the areas of TFLM application become wider, it needs a modification for new application. Above all, the conventional position estimation method is expensive in proportional to the length of the motor. Therefore, we need new position estimation algorithm using hall effect sensor.

One of problems in industries is an installation for an automation system device such sensor, transducer, controller, and so on those are located in different areas. Such problem makes a difficulty for maintenance and installation. The aim of this research attempts to design a high performance controller with remote devices. One attractive is to group near devices in near place together to centralizes control. This paper presents network device groups distributed through digital and analog Remote Terminal Unit (RTUs). Such devices are centralized by computer or PLC control and communicated with similar protocol through serial bus. Our scheme, there are many advantages such as, saving both time and cost,convenience compared to other ways.

This paper presents the possible application of a HTS superconducting power cable for transmitting electric power in metropolitan areas, reflecting its important distinction such as compactness for installation in underground ducts and considerably economical efficiency comparable to present underground cables. In this paper, we investigated characteristic and market scale compact HTS transmission cable which is possible to install in underground ducts. And reviewed its economical efficiency comparing to present existed CV cable from point of view such as cost for cable construction and duct or tunnel installation.

Fire accidents in tunnels and underground installations have resulted in significant loss in terms of life and costs. Several large research projects are launched in Europe to find cost effective ways to upgrade and make such installation more robust against accidents from fires and explosions. For one single tunnel, severe fire accidents are rare and operators and users will have very limit experience, when they do occur. There is a trend to solve the problem with high tech instrumentation and monitoring techniques and to rely on the fire brigade to play a major role in the rescue operation. These precautionary measures are very difficult to validate for the severe fires. For protection against the most critical fires, the safety has to be considered in the design of the tunnel and the technical installation validated so that it operates as indented.

In this paper, we investigate the grounding installation using grounding electrode into the earth in order to protect the power transmission line and transmission system and to improve the reliability of operations. Grounding electrode into the earth that has small grounding resistance is found to be very cost effective compare to other electrode systems by the ease of installation and making the earth damage small.
