화학설비의 안전성 향상을 위한 위험기반검사의 적용 (Application of Risk Based-Inspection for the Safety Improvement of the Chemical Facilities)

  • 화학설비의 안전성을 향상시키기 위하여 API-581 절차에 따라 국내실정에 맞도록 개발한 한국형 위험기반검사(K-RBI) 프로그램을 화학설비에 적용하였다. 그 결과, 적용 사업장의 자체 안전관리 수준평가(PSM), 적용 대상공정의 위험도, 고정설비와 배관의 위험도, 그리고 설비의 손상메카니즘을 알 수 있었으며, 공정 위험도와 설비상태로부터 설비의 검사주기를 제시할 수 있었다. 따라서 검사주기 연장 등으로 인한 정비비용의 절감효과와 더불어 생산성 향상, 설비 신뢰도 향상, 설비의 유지 보수 및 이력관리의 전산화 등을 실현할 수 있었다.

Machine Vision을 이용한 자동차용 Oil-Seal의 불량 검사 기계 개발 (Development of an Inspection Machine for Automotive Oil-Seals Using Machine Vision)

  • In this study, an inspection system for automotive parts using machine vision has been developed and presented. The system is comprised of six analog CCD cameras, frame grabber, and mechanism that loads the automotive parts to the system for the inspection. An Image processing algorithm for detecting eight different types of defects of oil-seals are developed, and the effectiveness of the algorithm is experimentally verified. Inspection process is completed in 1 second with acceptable accuracy. It is envisaged that this inspection system will have a wide application in the automotive part manufacturing industry in the future.

  • This paper presents an automatic tele-inspection scheme for the remotely manufacturing process. The remote-manufacturing process is continuously monitored and a crucial process is captured by CCD Camera. The captured image is compressed by neural network and JPEG, and it is sent directly to the assembly plant for incoming inspection. Massive image data require broadband channel to transmit them to remote distance, but sender is able to transmit them to receiver in use common channel by compressing massive image data in the high ratio. After the receiver reconstructs the compressed image to be transmitted, the reconstructed image is also directly used for automatic inspection of the process. The Experimental results show that the proposed inspection mechanism could be effectively implemented for real applications.

  • OPC is the preferred communication standard for sharing process control data at all levels of the enterprise and becomes the global standard, sends/receives the data with PLC programs of inspection system via network, and manages various data using OPC server. In this paper, we introduce the developed OPC client system for FPD inspection system with OPC server. To control inspection system through OPC server, we have developed libraries which consist of stage driver, switch driver, microscope driver, image processing, alignment, and task management modules. Also we have developed the test program to verify all functions precisely. We describe the mechanism of inspection system, OPC connection method, and programs.

  • A mobile robot system is developed to inspect the condition of industrial facilities under hot environment. The mobile robot is equipped with internal and external heat insulating material, an internal cooling mechanism, two CCD cameras, wireless communication devices for both the control and image signals, and an embedded controller. The portable controller is equipped with two joysticks for both the mobile robot and the inspection CCD camera, an LCD monitor, and several buttons. The developed mobile robot travels on the internal floor in hot furnaces by operators' joystick operation, captures the images of facilities in the furnaces using a zoom CCD camera, and sends the images to the portable controller through wireless communication. The mobile robot can be operated without any problem under hot environment less than 400$^{\circ}C$ in 30 minutes. This kind of automatic inspection mobile robot can be helpful to prevent significant troubles of industrial facilities without danger of human beings under harmful environment.

  • Recently, the necessity for diagnosis and management of pipes has emerged as the issue due to contamination of water supply generated by corrosion of pipes. Although inspection has been performed with industrial endoscopes, the method has limits for full diagnosis of pipes due to the lack of working range. As a solution for this problem, many locomotive mechanisms for a micro robot with endoscope functions were proposed. In this paper, we analyze the locomotive mechanism of crawling robot proposed as locomotive device for pipe inspection. Based on a mechanical modeling of motor and micro robot inside small pipe, the theoretical formula for velocity is obtained. This derived theoretical formula is demonstrated the feasibility through the comparison with experimental result. Also, we could find the most important element influencing the moving velocity of micro robot when the robot operates in small pipe. Consequently, it is expected that this study can supply useful information to design of crawling robot to move in small pipe.

  • Most current machine vision systems for industrial inspection were developed with one specific task in mind. Hence, these systems are inflexible in the sense that they cannot easily be adapted to other applications. In this paper, a general vision system framework has been developed that can be easily adapted to a variety of industrial web inspection problems. The objective of this system is to automatically locate and identify \\\"defects\\\" on the surface of the material being inspected. This framework is designed to be robust, to be flexible, and to be as computationally simple as possible. To assure robustness this framework employs a combined strategy of top-down and bottom-up control, hierarchical defect models, and uncertain reasoning methods. To make this framework flexible, a modular Blackboard framework is employed. To minimize computational complexity the system incorporates a simple multi-thresholding segmentation scheme, a fuzzy logic focus of attention mechanism for scene analysis operations, and a partitioning if knowledge that allows concurrent parallel processing during recognition.cognition.

Mechanism and Application of NMOS Leakage with Intra-Well Isolation Breakdown by Voltage Contrast Detection

  • An innovative application of voltage-contrast (VC) inspection allowed inline detection of NMOS leakage in dense SRAM cells is presented. Cell sizes of SRAM are continual to do the shrinkage with bit density promotion as semiconductor technology advanced, but the resulting challenges include not only development of smaller-scale devices, but also intra-devices isolation. The NMOS leakage caused by the underneath n+/P-well shorted to the adjacent PMOS/N-well was inspected by the proposed electron-beam (e-beam) scan in which VC images were compared during the in-line process step of post contact tungsten (W) CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) instead of end-of-line electrical test, which has a long response time. A series of experiments based on the mechanism for improving the intra-well isolation was performed and verified by the inline VC inspection. An optimal process-integration condition involved to the tradeoff between the implant dosage and photo CD was carried out.

전자 오븐의 누설 고주파 자동 검사 시스템 설계와 제작 (Design and manufacture of atomatic microwave leakage inspection system)

  • The testing philosophy and control schemes are investigated and applied to construct the Automatic Microwave Leakage Inspection System (AMLIS) . AMLIS is consists of three major parts such as Material Handling Mechanism, Fine Positioning Mechanism and Scanning Mechanism. The material Handling unit is designed to perform loading and unloading microwave oven onto the testing point by pneumatic cylinder and vacuum pump. The Fine positioning part includes X-Y-.THETA. table and distance sensing equipment. The scanning part is composed of five SCARA robots, which traverse X-Y-Z catesian coordinates respectively. The leakage testing probes are placed at the end of this each robot then the path and speed are both controlled via microprocessors. A performance test of this system combined with electric parts and software is done and the basic major function of system are accomplished.
