In recent years, increasing damage due to landslides. So the government is to create a geotechnical hazard map. This study was to evaluate the applicability of the geotechnical hazard map by using 4 years of landslide cases in Seoul and Busan. And the in-situ aseessment has been carried out in test-bad area with specialists. Study has shown dangerous grade in geotechnical hazard map is more dangerous than the actual. Thus we can utilize geotechnical hazrd map in the purpose of the geotechnical hazard preliminary assessment. However, the in-site inspection and evaluation is required for in order to select the hazard area.

This paper proposes an approach to detect unintended deflections in an automotive outer panel. Conventionally, the detection of unintended deflections has been performed by experienced works, and it requires much amount of time and efforts. The motivation of this work is to reduce such efforts by providing an automated detection methodology. For the detection of unintended deflections, we make use of the measured data from an optical scanner which can be considered as a Z-map data. The proposed approach consists of four major steps; 1) measured data acquisition for an automotive outer panel, 2) identification of shape features, 3) removal of shape features, and 4) detection of unintended deflections via curvature analysis.

The geometry PIG provides pipeline operators with continuous measurement of pipe centerline coordinates, bend radius, displacement, and bending strain in a single pass through the pipeline. This study introduces the developed geometry PIG(Pipeline Inspection Gauge) which is used for geometry surveys. This tool is equipped with the several sensor systems. The Inertial Navigation System (INS) comprises angle rate gyros and linear accelerometers. The system measures the precise path of the PIG during its traverse of the pipeline. This system is also used to produce a detailed map of the lire, measure curvature. Odometers measure the PIG´s distance moved along the line and instantaneous speed during the PIG run. Caliper sensors measure pipeline ...

In this study, the Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR) was tested to evaluate the condition of concrete decks. Test results obtained by CPR were compared with values measured from drilled cores and damage mapping by the visual survey. It is shown that GPR can provide highly accurate measurements of layer properties of concrete decks and can map areas of deterioration in bridge decks by dielectric constants. The deck condition can be grouped into categories of "good" or "distressed". The ground penetrating radar data shows promise for producing rapid and accurate condition assessment for bridge decks. And these data can be used to evaluate highway bridge condition and make cost-effective bridge deck rehabilitation by accurately estimating the quantity of deteriorated concrete.

Touch trigger probes are widely used for inspection purposed in the CMM(Coordinate meauring machine) or machine tool. The errors introduced by measurement probe are fairy systematic, thus can be calibrated and compensated properly. This paper presents a technique for the error calibration and compensation of the probe errors, which can be easily applicable to the manufacturers and users of the measurement probe. The probe coordinate system is defined for the probe error assessment, and a reference sphere ball is measured, and the probe errors are calibrated. The calibrated probe errors are represented in the 3D error map and 2D error map along probing direction. Detail algorithms for the error compensation are proposed.
Multi water-loop system is the efficient customer centered facilities of water supply by utilizing the multi water resources. Multi water-loop system is divided into various types. The system is classified potable and non-potable type. Mostly, the potable type utilizes surface water and ground water. However, the non-potable type utilize the multi water resources, such as rain water, sea water, reclaimed water, etc. Selective intake is possible when characteristics of region, physiographic condition and purpose of use are considered. For instance, downtown type, new-city type, agriculture type, island type are available. For development and application of these multi water-loop system, standardization is needed. For standardization, several methods are given; design principles, selection and composition method of multi water-loop system structure, BIM/GIS application method, safety inspection method. Consequently, a road map of design standardization method can be established. In this road map, there are three parts for the standardization of multi water-loop system. Three parts are the considerations, base material and ways of standardization. Design standardization become close when this road map followed by someone who plan the multi water-loop system. In this way, loop system's development is more efficient and economic. In hereafter research, each type's characteristic will be analysed and standardization methods can be established.
In this paper, we propose a construction technique of two-level composite gradient map to automatically track a face with large movement in successive frames. Our method is composed of three main steps. First, the gradient maps with two-level resolution are generated for fast convergence of active contour. Second, to recognize the variations of face between successive frames and remove the neighbor background, weighted composite gradient map is generated by combining the composite gradient map and difference mask of previous and current frames. Third, to prevent active contour from converging local minima, the energy slope is generated by using closing operation. In addition, the fast closing operation is proposed to accelerate the processing time of closing operation. For performance evaluation, we compare our method with previous active contour model-based face tracking methods using a visual inspection, robustness test and processing time. Experimental results show that our method can effectively track the face with large movement and robustly converge to the optimal position even in frames with complicated background.
The methodology on digital cadastre(World Geodetic System Conversion) needs to be specified because the primary target site is discussed for large national estate such as road, river etc. on nationwide. Comprehensively reviews on similar cases and literature reviews to make a methodology for digital cadastre on large national estate, cadastral map revision is required before converting to World Geodetic System. The revisions are on subdivision survey or the other surveys to the necessary area through inspection of geometry and attributes. And the researcher pointed out the need of registration conversion and union of parcel to remove small parcel or to remove the inconsistency of land use type. Basically a systematic maintenance of cadastral map is necessary because the World Geodetic System Conversion unresolved the poor cadastral map quality to digital cadastre on large national estate.
Change detection is a useful technology that can be applied to various fields, taking temporal change information with the comparison and analysis among multi-temporal satellite images. Especially, change detection that utilizes high-resolution satellite imagery can be implemented to extract useful change information for many purposes, such as the environmental inspection, the circumstantial analysis of disaster damage, the inspection of illegal building, and the military use, which cannot be achieved by lower middle-resolution satellite imagery. However, because of the special characteristics that result from high-resolution satellite imagery, it cannot use a pixel-based method that is used for low-resolution satellite imagery. Therefore, it must be used a feature-based algorithm based on the geographical and morphological feature. This paper presents the system that builds the change map by digitizing the boundary of the changed object. In this system, we can make the change map using manual or semi-automatic digitizing through the user interface implemented with a floating window that enables to detect the sign of the change, such as the construction or dismantlement, more efficiently.
In this paper. we Propose a robust and fast image registration technique for motion correction in brain CT-CT angiography obtained from same patient to be taken at different time. First, the feature points of two images are respectively extracted by 3D edge detection technique, and they are converted to locally weighted 3D distance map in reference image. Second, we search the optimal location whore the cross-correlation of two edges is maximized while floating image is transformed rigidly to reference image. This optimal location is determined when the maximum value of cross-correlation does't change any more and iterates over constant number. Finally, two images are registered at optimal location by transforming floating image. In the experiment, we evaluate an accuracy and robustness using artificial image and give a visual inspection using clinical brain CT-CT angiography dataset. Our proposed method shows that two images can be registered at optimal location without converging at local maximum location robustly and rapidly by using locally weighted 3D distance map, even though we use a few number of feature points in those images.
