교량 점검신뢰도 분석법 개발과 향상방안 (Development of Bridge Inspection Reliability and Improvement Strategy)

  • 교량의 안전은 점검에 의해 보장된다. 그리고 교량의 유지관리는 점검결과를 토대로 시작된다. 따라서 점검결과는 '교량의 안전'과 '효율적인 유지관리'를 위한 가장 중요한 정보이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 교량의 점검신뢰도를 평가하고 이를 제고 할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 교량의 점검신뢰도를 평가 할 수 있는 세 가지 점검신뢰도를 제시하였다: 명목점검신뢰도, 실질점검신뢰도, DS명목점검신뢰도. 교량의 점검신뢰도 분석 방법은 정밀안전진단결과를 참값으로 간주하고 당해년도 정밀(정기)점검과 차년도 정밀안전 진단결과를 비교하였다. 인적오류를 고려한 DS명목신뢰도를 기준으로 현재 고속도로교량의 점검신뢰도 85%로 양호한 편으로 평가 된다. 이는 현재 고속도로 교량의 평균공용연수가 13년으로 대부분의 교량이 'A'와 'B'등급에 집중적으로 분포되어 상태변화가 크지 않기 때문인 것으로 판단된다. 점검신뢰도를 제고하기 위해서는 점검자의 역량을 강화하고 전문점검인력 육성이 필요하며 점검결과에 대해 QC(Quality Control, 품질관리)를 실시하여 점검결과의 신뢰도 향상이 필요하다.

  • It is important to guarantee the safety of vehicle to minimize the damage to the driver in case of the accidents. In order to inspect and later enhance the safety of vehicle, the owner of the vehicle usually have a vehicle safety inspection. The Korea Transportation Safety Authority (KOTSA) issues the Comprehensive Performance Inspection Certificate after vehicle inspection. The certificate only specify the legal inspection criteria for safety and measured values of the safety parameters, however, as ordinary driver in lack of expert knowledge about the vehicle is difficult to understand the contents of the Certificate. Thus, in this paper, the authors try to give the information about the inspection results in easier way to understand. This information not only guarantees the owner of the vehicle to better understand the inspection results, but it also gives the opportunity to the driver to deal with the specific problem listed in the results. The methods in this paper are to transform the vehicle inspection data into the non parametric distribution to easily represent the values to the index later on. Also, example indexes are presented to the actually inspected vehicle based on the reference distribution to show the better assessment of the developed method.

정규화된 PWSCC 민감도 지수를 이용한 Alloy 600 기기 검사 우선순위 선정 (Alloy 600 Components Inspection Prioritization Using the Normalized PWSCC Susceptibility Index)

  • Alloy 600 widely used in nuclear power plant is susceptible to primary water stress corrosion cracking (PWSCC). It is important to prioritize the inspection of Alloy 600 components using PWSCC susceptibility index. Plant-specific model for the susceptibility index was reviewed. The normalized PWSCC susceptibility index to a reference value is suggested and applied. The result was found to be reasonable.

  • 노동행정의 선진화 과학화는 노동개혁의 한 축으로 중요성이 크다. 본 눈문은 근로감독 과학화를 위해 도입이 추진되고 있는 사업장의 취약지수를 보다 정교하게 산정할 수 있는 방법을 제시하고자 근로시간과 최저임금 취약지수를 예로 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 취약지수는 모든 근로감독 분야에 대해 산정될 수 있으며, 시간이 지남에 따른 사업장의 환경변화를 반영할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 또한 지방노동관서의 근로감동 사업장 우선순위를 정하는 데 유용하게 쓰일 수 있으며, 중앙부처가 지방노동관서의 근로감독 성과를 평가할 때도 활용될 수 있다.

자치구 포장상태평가등급 기준 개선 및 포장상태 예측지수 개발 (Development of Borough Road Pavement Condition Evaluation Criteria and Prediction Index)

  • OBJECTIVES : This study develops an evaluation method, which is useful to inspect pavement condition of specific boroughs. This is because pavement condition is broadly divided into five grades via visual inspection, which does not consider the types of deteriorations, and is decided by an investigator having a subjective viewpoint. This visual inspection method is not a satisfactory method for accurate maintenance when various deteriorations occur. METHODS : The performance model considers several factors such as crack, rutting, and IRI. This method is also modified from borough SPI based on SPI (Seoul Pavement Index). Considering limited budget of borough, PI (prediction index) is suggested, which is related to the grade of pavement condition evaluation and type of materials. Practical correlation review is also conducted with statistical verification by using the Monte Carlo simulation. RESULTS : The results of the study show that modified criteria are reasonable. First, the comparison between the visual inspection result and the SPI result indicates that the R-square value is sufficiently high. Second, through the common section, each evaluation method could be compared, and the result shows considerable similarity, which increases when the range is modified. Finally, PI for predicting remaining life and the random number SPI have common parts, which means that each indicator would be adequate to be used as an evaluation method. CONCLUSIONS : Comparison and analysis results show that the developed evaluation method is reasonable for specific boroughs where financial support is inadequate for the evaluation process by using the newer equipment. Moreover, for more accurate evaluation method, previous visual inspection data should be utilized, and the database of inspection equipment have to be collected.

검사정밀도를 고려한 공정능력지수의 결정 (Determination of Process Capability Index considering Inspection Precision)

  • As the rapid growth of Industrial society, many enterprises are inclined to ppm management from the traditional$3\'{o}$ management method. Therefore it is need to extend process capability index for guarantee of quality assurance level to ppm unit. Thus, in this paper, using the probability of standard normal distribution from $ 3\'{o}; to; 6\'{o}$ which was developed by Song(1997), the capability index which is proposed considers the numbers of inspection facility and quality assurance level. Also, quality assurance level is determined by considering the precision of inspection when one and two sided specification limits are given for the probability which is out of the specification limit.

디지털 방사선 영상의 편차지수를 이용한 의료영상 품질관리에 관한 연구 (A Study on Quality Control for Medical Image by Using Deviation Index of Digital Radiology)

  • In a digital radiation system using a Flat Panel Detector, we attempted to the quality control of digital radiography system using the Exposure Index and Deviation Index. Calibration was performed with the radiation quality suggested by the International Electrotechnical Commission, and through an experiment using a phantom, appropriate inspection radiation conditions applicable to medical institutions were selected. The study was conducted using the selected radiation conditions. Through those chest posterior anterior image, information such as examination conditions and exposure index was obtained. The deviation index was derived by analyzing the exposure index based on the target exposure index calculated by the phantom study. As for the analyzed exposure index, 97.1% was distributed within the range of ± 2.0 based on the deviation index. Quality control of medical images should be performed through management of inspection conditions through exposure index and deviation index and management of medical images.

  • In recent years, the deterioration of infrastructures is especially considered. In prestress concrete bridges, one of the important mechanisms of deterioration is the corrosion of the post-tensioned tendon due to environmental agents. In this study, the reliability analysis is performed for a prestress concrete box girder bridge under the pitting corrosion attack with considering the inspection and failure cost. The variation of life-time performance depending on inspection methods have to be quantified. The inspection methods with different accuracy of corrosion detection are presented and applied for model of reliability analysis. The computer program for analysis reliability index of the structure as well as updating process is obtained. An existing bridge is applied for illustrating the influence of inspection cost on the behaviors of structure. Subsequently, the benefit of inspection has shown to predict the time to failure of structure.

Quantitative evaluation of through-thickness rectangular notch in metal plates based on lamb waves

  • Lamb wave technology is a promising technology in the field of structural health monitoring and can be applied in the detection and monitoring of defects in plate structures. Based on the reconstruction algorithm for the probabilistic inspection of damage (RAPID), a Lamb-based detection and evaluation method of through-thickness rectangular notches in metal plates was proposed in this study. The influences of through-thickness rectangular notch length and the angle between sensing path and notch length direction on signals were further explored through simulations and experiments. Then a damage index calculation method which focuses on both phase and amplitude difference between detected signals and baseline signals was proposed. Based on the damage index difference between two vertically crossed sensing paths which pass through the notch in a sensor network, the notch direction identification method was proposed. In addition, the notch length was determined based on the damage index distribution along sensing paths. The experimental results showed that the image reconstructed with the proposed method could reflect the information for the evaluation of notches.

Protective Ability Index of Rust Layer Formed on Weathering Steel Bridge

  • For a quantitative inspection on the performance of weathering steel bridges, we have investigated the relationship between the corrosion rate and the composition of the rust layers formed on weathering steel bridges located in various environments in Japan and applied a protective ability index (PAI) to the bridges. The corrosion rates were clearly classified by the PAI, ${\alpha}/{\gamma}*$ and sub index of $({\beta}+s)/{\gamma}*$, where $\alpha$, \gamma*, $\beta$ and s are the mass ratio of crystalline $\alpha-FeOOH$, the total of $\gamma$-FeOOH+ $\beta$-FeOOH + the spinel-type iron oxide (mainly $Fe_3O_4$), $\beta-FeOOH$ and spinel-type iron oxide, analyzed by powder X-ray diffraction, respectively. In the case of ${\alpha}/{\gamma}$*>1, the rust layer works protective enough to reduce the corrosion rate less than 0.01 mm/y. The sub index $({\beta}+s)/{\gamma}*$<0.5 or >0.5 classifies the corrosion rate of the non-protective rust layers, therefore the former state of the rust layer terms inactive and the latter terms active. The quantitative inspection of a weathering steel bridge requires a performance-inspection (PI) and periodical deteriorationinspections (DI). The PI can be completed by checking of the PAI, ${\alpha}/{\gamma}*$. The DI on the weathering steel bridges where deicing salt is sprinkled can be performed by checking the PAI, $({\beta}+s)/{\gamma}*$.
