A Study for Applying for Crowdsourcing Technology in ITS (크라우드 소싱의 ITS 적용 방안)

  • One kind of crowdsourcing techniques which allow drivers to collect and provide traffic information using smartphones and applications is being introduced to ITS system as well. The introduction of crowdsourcing techniques requires changes in the existing ITS based on Insourcing which provide traffic information generated by detectors through VMS. ITS Information have had two problems, one is the high cost and the other is an interrupted service. Experts expect crowdsourcing technique which is created SNS, will overcome problems of ITS. But, there are not many examples and research results. Crowdsourcing technique was utilized in Jeju ATMS project to install ITS on the coastal round roads around Jeju since ITS to install point detectors turned out to be non-economic method in case of the coastal round roads with low traffic volume. However, there existed links in which traffic information cannot be generated as there were no smartphone users (crowds) even in the cost-effective crowdsourcing techniques, which indicates the fact that the crowdsourcing method is suitable for urban roads with many smartphone users, but not for local minor roads. On the contrary, insourcing-based ITS is considered to be non-economic method in applying to all roads in the city, but it can be effectively utilized in the local minor roads. Accordingly, Inter-sourcing based ITS operating system in which insourcing is connected with crowdsourcing was suggested in this study.

  • 지금까지 국가연구개발사업은 체계적인 기술 확보전략이 없었다. 본 연구는 국가연구개발 사업도 기술확보 전략이 있어야 한다고 주장하면서, 국가연구개발사업에 적용할 수 있는 기술확보 의사결정프로세스를 제안한다. 국가연구개발사업은 자체개발(insourcing)과 해외위탁/용역, 라이센스, 공동연구의 외부기술(out-sourcing)으로 유형을 구분하였으며, 이에 적합한 기술확보 유형결정을 위한 다단계 의사 결정프로세스를 제시한다.

  • The core of cooking, or a final stage in the full process of so-called artistic cooking, should be treated with insourcing. Reduction of several cooking processes resulted in shortened cooking time, increased efficiency, faster cooking, cutting the waiting-lines, and finally more room for customers. The outsourcing system can reduce or eliminate the following processes in cooking: buying various food materials, checking, storing, preparing, and processing. Especially in the Western food cooking department of a hotel, the outsourcing system should be enforced to make an economic kitchen and to efficiently manage it.

  • During the last decade global sourcing has been widely practiced by multinational firms. While the importance of global sourcing has grown rapidly, there have been ralatively few empirical studies on this issue Thus, this study empirically investigates the commonalities and differences between European and Japanese multinational firms sourcing patterns. Especially, this study focuses on two dimensions of global sourcing activities: inter-firm sourcing and intra-firm sourcing.

A Study on the Effect of Outsourcing for the Apparel Maker in Korea (우리나라 의류생산업체(衣類生産業體)의 아웃소싱 효과에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • For an enterprise to survive in extremely competitive world, it had better to down budget and resource of unimportant fields so that the enterprise can concentrate resources on the strong field. Nowadays in Korea, it is important to research outsourcing for strengthen the competitive power in apparel maker because of recent depression. The questionnaire was composed of 14 factors about outsourcing effect. The questionnaires were selected for finial analysis 67 apparel makers in Pusan and Seoul and data was analysed by using paired t-test by SPSS program. Almost of apparel makers (85.07%) has been outsourced the sewing process to contractor or vendor. Outsourcing in this case is marked lower effect than insourcing except reducing cost, economy of time and overcoming internal resources. This means that our outsourcing has been progressed with so many risk. If we have research the successful outsourcing and have a strategic vision and plan with vendor and product mutually beneficial relationship, we can share the risk and creating new business synergies through outsourcing.

Promotional Plans of Fourth-Party Logistics in Korea: Applicability in Entering the Chinese Logistics Market

  • Purpose - This study aims to disclose the problems of both the government and the logistics industry regarding fourth-party logistics, and to provide various solutions at the level of enterprises as well as the government for the introduction of fourth-party logistics in China. Research design, data, and methodology - This study aims to reveal how a shipping company recognizes the creation of partnerships with fourth-party logistics providers, and it reveals several related implications. Results - Fourth-party logistics organizations can be used to achieve maximum business performance as professional logistics companies by incorporating the benefits of outsourcing and insourcing. Outsourcing logistics services through focusing on core competencies and improving customer service can have financial effects and advantages such as the simplification of labor issues. Conclusions - This study did not investigate Korean enterprises through an empirical analysis and provided fourth-party logistics concepts and promotional plans according to domestic and foreign literature. Further studies shall investigate not only the Korean fourth-party logistics model but also the training of logistics professionals to generate profits for both shippers as well as logistics enterprises.

An Empirical Study on the Obligations of Contractual Parties for Successful IT Outsourcing (성공적인 IT 아웃소싱을 위한 계약당사자간 책임 요소에 대한 실증 연구)

  • IT outsourcing has become a critical component of organizations, but improper expectations, ambiguous contracts and unclear goals frequently cause the failure of IT outsourcing. Especially we have to be concerned about the uncareful management of customer-supplier relationships based on a psychological contract perspective. This study focuses on the obligations of contractual parties for IT outsourcing which influence the outsourcing relationship(OR) and the successful performance of IT outsourcing(OP). The supplier obligations consist of the achievable infrastructure(S1) and capability(S2), and the customer obligations is composed of the acceptable environment(C1) and acceptability(C2) for IT outsourcing. This paper shows that the S1, S2, and C2 have an effect on the OR, the OR on the OP, and the S2 also on the OP directly. The four components of customer-supplier obligations are mutually related to each other. What is more, we must notice that the S2 has strong connections with the C2.

A Study on the Effect of Outsourced to Management Performance (아웃소싱이 기업성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Before economical crisis in 1997, domestic company focused on increasing the size of outward experience which including organization. The result of increasing outward experience without substance was economical crisis, so after that time, many companies have been changing their focus from insourcing to strengthen the core competence to secure global market. This is becoming a cause of following that companies are reducing their outward experience. Especially, to process tasks more effectively and to cope with rapid change of business environment, such as incoming raw material from overseas/high raising of salary/rising property prices, many companies decided outsourcing method. At most of hypothesis, the result was that outsourcing can affect positively to the business. First, introducing of outsourcing during focusing on core competence can be positive effect for company performance such as business management /productivity /procurement /administration /product competitiveness /technology. Second, the result that analyzed based on a point of view of population statics after outsourcing was positive effect at the most of research. Third, result of effectiveness for every outsourcing type classified by 4M was also can be positive at the most of research. Fourth, the characteristic of population statics can be positive effect at the most of category when select outsourcing companies. Research result of outsourcing was various based on the goal of outsourcing. It is revealed by investigation of domestic/overseas treatise that there are opposite two opinions. In this research, there is no consistent result that the outsourcing can give effects on business performance, but most of hypothesis indicates that outsourcing can give positive effect on the business performance.In this research, based on the outsourcing intensity, mutual relation was analyzed. The assumption of the reason of outsourcing is economical and organizational. First, sampling numbers of research was too small so it is too difficult to get significant business performance result. (Sampling : 150, Replied : 106, Rate of Reply : 71%) Second, tried to compare significant differences of outsourcing methods which were divided based on 4M, but the there is gaps between the number of Cell and too difficult to make replier understand. Third, it is tried to find the degrees of effect that the point of view of popular statics can effect on business performances and selection of outsourced companies.

Study on economic effects of outsourcing of food materials on the hotel kitchen - Focus on cooking Western food in the first class hotel - (식재료 아웃소싱이 경제적 주방에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 특1급호텔 양식조리를 중심으로 -)

  • This study is designed to examine feasibility and limitation of outsourcing in cooking Western food in a hotel, to interpret importance of outsourcing(eg. outside order, outside procurement, outside supply) in a broad sense in order to reinforce the core capacity in the cooking department, and to know whether the cooking human power is efficiently used and how much the chefs recognize outsourcing of food materials. As many companies conduct restructuring to cut down its size, the reduction of human power led the Western food cooking in the hotel to lower core capacities, lower quality, and lower efficiency. In addition, the sagging morale of chefs undermined creativity. To change from the traditional kitchen to an economic kitchen needs to look into importance of outsourcing, cognitive attitude of chefs, relation with outside suppliers. Here suggests performance of positive changes in the structure The study examined feasibility and limitation of outsourcing in the hotel kitchen as well as chefs' cognitive attitude toward outsourcing of food materials to reinforce core capabilities of the hotel kitchen. 1. Companies of outsourcing are selected according to variability of price conditions, flexibility of contract conditions, popularity of the outsourcing company, and reputation of the outsourcing company. 2. The importance of outsourcing in the Western food cooking is divided into 4 factors such as standard of selecting outsourcing companies, policies of cooking manu, quality of cooking, and quantity of cooking. 3. The most feasible section in outsourcing of food materials is a process of kneading flour for bread, which shows that many Western-food chefs expect to put higher possibility of outsourcing on the kneading. In other words, when it comes to confectionery and bakery, there are many outside expert processing companies supplying high quality products. In the order of outsourcing feasibility, sauce is followed by processed vegetable, garnish of main dish, and soup. The least feasible section in outsourcing of food materials is appetize. Appetize includes a concept of a improvised dish and needs speed. Due to its color, freshness, and sensibility of taste, the appetize plays a key role in the Western food cooking. 4. When outsourcing is taken in place, the highest risk is to lower the inner cooking skills. Therefore chefs in charge of the Western food sequently recognize both internal problems including storage of cooking skills, unstability of layoffs, and loss of cooperation between departments, and external problems including inferior goods, difficulty of differentiating manu, delay of delivery, and expiration date. It shows that most of the Western food chefs consider risks of the internal problems at first. 5. A effective outsourcing needs appropriate selection of outsourcing companies, maintenance of credibility, active communication, check and management of hygiene. However regardless of their position or career, chefs in charge of the Western food have the same cognitive attitude toward selecting successful outsourcing companies after the outsourcing system is enforced.
