보울 피이더에서 신경 회로망을 이용한 부품 자세 인식에 관한 연구 (A neural network method for recognition of part orientation in a bowl feeder)

  • A neural network method is applied for recognizing the orientation o f individual parts being fed from a bowl feeder. The system is designed in such a way that a part can be discriminated and sorting according to every possible stable orientation without implementing any a mechanical tooling. The operation of the bowl feeder is based on a 2D image obtained from an array of fiber optic sensor located on the feeder track. The acquired binary image of a moving and vibrating part is used as input to a neural network which, in turn, determines t he orientation of the part. The main task of the neural network, here is to synthesize the appropriate internal discriminant functions for the part orientation using the part features. A series of the experiments reveals several promising points on performance. Since the operation of the feeder is highly programmable, it is well suited for feeding and sorting small parts prior to small batch assembly work.

  • In this paper, simulation results of a robust digital tracking controller on a robotic manipulator are presented. The objective is to follow a ramp reference input with zero steady state error in the presence of a disturbance and system parameter variations. Some of the difficulties are caused by the Coulomb frictions, the disturbance due to the gravitational pull, the spring effect of a link between the drive motor and the manipulator arm. Another difficulty is that, because of the non-differentiable Coulomb friction, the digital control system cannot be represented as a discrete system. It is thus necessary to design the controller based on a discrete-continuous hybrid model. The controller is based on feeding back the state variables and augmenting the system by addition discrete integrators. The feedback gain parameters are obtained by applying the quadratic optimal control theory and then choosing the new weighting matrices to eliminate the limit cycle by using the describing function method for hybrid system.

Generating Complex Klinokinetic Movements of 2-D Migration Circuits Using Chaotic Model of Fish Behavior

  • The complex 2-dimensional movements of fish during an annual migration circuit were generated and simulated by a chaotic model of fish movement, which was expanded from a small-scale movement model. Fish migration was modeled as a neural network including stimuli, central decision-making, and output responses as variables. The input stimuli included physical stimuli (temperature, salinity, turbidity, flow), biotic factors (prey, predators, life cycle) and landmarks or navigational aids (sun, moon, weather), values of which were all normalized as ratios. By varying the amplitude and period coefficients of the klinokinesis index using chaotic equations, model results (i.e., spatial orientation patterns of migration through time) were represented as fish feeding, spawning, overwintering, and sheltering. Simulations using this model generated 2-dimesional annual movements of sea bream migration in the southern and western seas of the Korean Peninsula. This model of object-oriented and large-scale fish migration produced complicated and sensitive migratory movements by varying both the klinokinesis coefficients (e.g., the amplitude and period of the physiological month) and the angular variables within chaotic equations.

  • In Korea, researches on year-round leaf vegetables production system are in progress, most of them focused on environmental control. Therefore, automation technologies for harvesting, transporting, and grading are in great demand. A robot system for harvesting lettuces, composed of a 3-DOF (degree of freedom) manipulator, an end-effector, a lettuce feeding conveyor, an air blower, a machine vision system, six photoelectric sensors, and a fuzzy logic controller, was developed. A fuzzy logic control was applied to determine appropriate grip force on lettuce. Leaf area index and height were used as input variables and voltage as an output variable for the fuzzy logic controller. Success rate of the lettuce harvesting was 94.12%, and average harvesting time was approximately 5 seconds per lettuce.

  • In Korea, researches for year-round leaf vegetables production system are in progress and the most of them are focused on environment control. Automation technologies for harvesting , transporting and grading need to be developed. This study was conducted to develop harvesting process automation system profitable to a competitive price. 1. Manipulator and end-effector are to be designed and fabricated , and fuzzy logic controller for controlling these are to be composed. 2. The entire system constructed is to be evaluated through a performance test. A robot system for harvesting a lettuce was developed. It was composed of a manipulator with 20DOF (degrees of freedom) an end-effector, a lettuce feeding conveyor , an air blower , a machine vision device, 6 photoelectric sensors and a fuzzy logic controller. A fuzzy logic control was applied to determined appropriate grip force on lettuce. Leaf area index and height index were used as input parameters, and voltage was used as output parameter for the fuzzy logic controller . Success rate of the lettuce harvesting system was 93.06% , and average harvesting time was about 5 seconds per lettuce.

  • Recently, welding technology of nonferrous metals which were difficult to implement by arc welder has become available through digitalization of arc welding machine. Among them, the welding quality improvement of aluminum welding is very noticeable. These results increase the arc stability by controlling arc current and voltage waveform precisely, and control wire feed speed by synchronizing with arc current which the feed rate of filler wire is controlled by a precise motor control of servomotor and not by a simple constant speed feeding. Not only through the hardware digitalization of arc welding machine but also through advance of software of arc welding, it became possible to implement a certain level of welding quality by a simple operation. These led to CMT welding process implementation which requires low heat input than current arc welding and highly increased the applicability of the aluminum welding.

  • 유전자 앨거리즘을 이용하여 동축선 급전 원형 편파 사각 마이크로스트립 안테나를 설계하였다. 임피던스 및 유효 손실 탄젠트 그리고 축비 등을 포함하는 복잡한 목적 함수를 갖는 마이크로스트립 안테나 설계에 유전자 앨거리즘이 효과적임을 보였다. 패버티 마들로부터 입력 임피던스와 원형 편파의 축비를 유도하고, 안테나의 폭과 길이와 동축선 급전점을 유전자 앨거리즘을 이용하여 최적화 하였다. 설계된 안테나를 제작하고 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하여 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • In order to maintain a high quality output voltage, conventional UPS systems use complex filters with large passive components. To overcome this drawback, real time feedback control schemes have been invested. However, these techniques require a high inverter switching frequency to dynamically adapt to changing load conditions reduce harmonics of the output voltage, thereby rendering the system inadequate for high power applications. This paper presents real time digital signal processor(DSP) control of a large capacity UPS system feeding nonlinear loads to provide a sinusoidal inverter output voltage, unity input power factor, low bus voltage ripple, and excellent transient response.

  • In this paper, a new control scheme of Class-E inverter for reducing the crest factor of electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps using Pulse-Frequency-Modulation (PFM) is introduced The lifetime of the lamps is guaranteed by decreasing the lamp crest factor and voltage stress of the switch is significantly decreased by a new scheme although conventional Class-E inverter is used in this paper The proposed PFM control scheme doesn't used any auxiliary circuit. The proposed control strategy is executed by feeding back the input current. and the Zero-Voltage-Switching (ZVS) is ensured by operating beyond resonant frequency. Therefore, the control principles of proposed method are explained in detail and its validity is verified through several simulated results.
