본 논문에서는 국가경쟁력 향상 및 지역발전 전략의 일환으로 유럽에서는 이미 오래전부터 시작된 클러스터구축전략을 대상으로 하고 있다. 특히 20세기 말 경제의 세계화 과정과 함께 지리적 개념을 뛰어넘는 지속발전 가능한 혁신클러스터 구축이 중요한 연구대상으로 형성되고 있다. 이중 미국의 첨단산업의 메카인 실리콘밸리와 경쟁관계에 있는 스웨덴의 시스타 사이언스시티는 우리에게 많은 점을 시사할 수 있다.

본 연구는 기존 구도심부 상업지역의 공동화로 인한 쇠퇴현상이 나타나고 있어 현 시점에서 진주시의 도시공간구조를 살펴보고자 하였다. 도시공간구조 분석의 범위는 구득자료의 한계와 연구의 목적을 감안하여 진주시의 동지역으로 한정하였다. 진주의 도시공간구조를 밝히기 위하여 다변량해석(Multivariate Analysis)을 사용하여 분석한 결과 7개의 지역(중심지, 공업지, 일반주거지 등)으로 유형화할 수 있었다. 진주시는 장래 낙후된 도시이미지의 쇄신, 서부경남의 중심도시로의 부활을 위해서는 앞서 지역별 현상을 감안하여 도심 노후지역의 전면적인 도심재개발, 재건축사업 및 재정비촉진사업 등이 필요할 것으로 보이며, 상평공단 이전 및 초장동 일원과 연계한 신도시 건설, 현재 계획 중인 혁신도시의 차질 없는 추진이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

As the skyscraper matures as a building type, its role in actively connecting to, and reinforcing, major threads of urban fabric becomes increasingly more important. The creation of public spaces inside of and adjacent to tall buildings allows for significant additions to the public realm, facilitating better connections between varied uses, providing needed access to critical transportation functions. In this more integrated version of the tall building type, the density afforded by a vertical structure is complemented by strategically devised porosity of plan and section. This paper examines three major tower projects which exemplify a progressive approach to permeable design: the recently completed Jingan Kerry Centre in Shanghai, the Lotte Supertower in Seoul, now half completed, and the One Vanderbilt tower being proposed next to Grand Central Terminal in New York City. These projects suggest possibilities for innovative approaches to private development strategies, public planning processes, and architectural design.

이 연구의 목적은 최근 미국 공공도서관의 주요한 독서운동의 한 형태인 '한 책, 한 도시' 독서운동의 성장과 확산 현황을 분석함으로써 개혁적. 지속적 및 집합적 독서운동으로서의 의의를 평가해보는 것이다. 또한 '한 책' 선정 작가 및 도서의 주제, 장르, 간행연도 등을 분석함으로써 특정한 지역사회가 함께 '한 책'을 읽음으로써 이해하고 달성하고자 하는 문화적, 사회적, 공동체적 목표를 이해하도록 시도한다. 미국국회도서관(LC) 도서 센터 웹사이트의 '한 책' 프로젝트의 지역별 및 작가별 리스트를 분석하고, LC OPAC에서 조사한 '한 책' 선정도서의 서지 레코드를 분석한 결과는 1990년대 이후 간행도서에 대한 선호, 전기 및 전기적 소설의 중요성, 다민족, 다문화 사회의 이해라는 주제의 집중성 등의 특성을 보여준다.

이 연구는 네트워크도시 모델의 관점에서 동남권 도시들의 연계 구조를 분석하고자 하였다. 이론적 논의에서는 네트워크도시의 특성을 검토하였으며, 이러한 관점에서 동남권 지역 도시들에 대한 적용 가능성을 고찰하였다. 사례지역 연구 결과, 동남권의 광역적 산업클러스터는 형태상으로 뿐 아니라 여타의 측면에서도 전형적인 네트워크도시의 특성을 보유하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 주요 도시들의 독립성과 상호의존성, 성장 특성은 네트워크도시의 특징을 명확히 보여준다. 동남권 도시들은 상호 독립성을 유지한 채 긴밀히 연계되어 있으며 기능적으로도 분화되어 있다. 더하여 네트워크도시의 성장성과 함께 네트워크도시 내 중소 도시들의 성장도 두드러지게 나타났다. 이러한 도시간 연계는 지역 산업의 경쟁력을 지지하고 있는 것으로 사료된다. 동남권 지역의 산업경쟁력을 향상시키기 위해서는 산업 및 도시연계 구조에 부합하는 광역적 대응이 필요할 것이다.

Banking and finance is a broad term that incorporates a variety of smaller, more specialized subjects such as corporate finance, tax finance, and insurance finance. A virtual assistant that assists users in searching for information about banking and finance terms might be an extremely beneficial tool for users. In this study, we explored the process of searching for information, seeking opportunities, and developing a virtual assistant in the first stages of starting learning and understanding Vietnamese to increase effectiveness and save time, which is also an innovative business practice in Use-case Vietnam. We built the FIBA2020 dataset and proposed a pipeline that used Natural Language Processing (NLP) inclusive of Natural Language Understanding (NLU) algorithms to build chatbot applications. The open-source framework RASA is used to implement the system in our study. We aim to improve our model performance by replacing parts of RASA's default tokenizers with Vietnamese tokenizers and experimenting with various language models. The best accuracy we achieved is 86.48% and 70.04% in the ideal condition and worst condition, respectively. Finally, we put our findings into practice by creating an Android virtual assistant application using the model trained using Whitespace tokenizer and the pre-trained language m-BERT.

이 연구의 목적은 미국의 '한 책, 한 도시' 지역사회 독서운동 확산의 시기적 특성 및 지속성에 관하여 살펴보는 것이다. 2013년 6월까지 미국의회도서관 도서센터 웹사이트에 등록된 584개 '한 책' 프로젝트들의 확산 현황 및 특성을 태동기 (1998년-2001년), 성장기 (2002년-2006년) 및 재도약기 (2007년-현재)의 세 시기로 나누어 살펴보았다. 또한 주요한 '한 책' 프로젝트들의 웹사이트 등을 분석하여 적어도 50개(8.9%) 이상 '한 책' 프로젝트들의 지속성, 특히 초기에 시작된 '한 책' 프로젝트들의 안정성을 확인하였다. 지속적인 일부 '한 책' 프로젝트의 새로운 변화 모색 및 'The Big Read' 이니셔티브를 통한 '한 책' 독서운동 모형의 확산 추이는 향후 주목할 만하다.

The new urbanization is one of prestige growth engines to lead the next generation of China economy, it promotes new sustainable urban development models guided by various planning polices to improve urban livability and sustainability in accommodation with economy, social, and environmental consideration. The expanding urban periphery to rural area should leverages existing assets, infrastructure, local context and plans as a showcase of environmental and economic balance in a responsibly high-density, green community designed to human development and ecological settlement. The Beijing Chaoyang District and Tianjin Binhai area are a strategic advancement in the policy of building one of the most powerful economic regions, the Bohai Rim. Recently released 'Jingjinji development plan' supports various urbanization policies and encourages sustainable developments including 2 significant city center projects which are under way in global attention. The study compared on the characters of development policies and the cutting-edge smart design strategies by which they are applied, the master plan of the Beijing Chaoyang District expansion plan and Tianjin Yujiapu CBD project embrace innovative sustainable technologies.

This study experimentally and analytically investigates the shear behavior of corroded reinforced concrete (RC) beams repaired using steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) in the flexural zone. The experimental parameters are the corrosion degree (0%, 12%, and 17%) and the steel fiber volume in the SFRC (1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0%). The test results reveal that corrosion degree significantly affects the shear resistance of the beams. The shear capacity of the beam with the corrosion degree of 17% was higher than that of the uncorroded beam, whereas the shear capacity of the beam with the corrosion degree of 12% was lower than that of the uncorroded beam. The shear efficiency of damaged beams can be recovered by repairing them using SFRC that contains a reasonable amount of steel fibers. In addition, two methods to estimate the shear capacity of the repaired beams are developed using the modified truss analogy and strut-and-tie models. The estimated shear capacity of the beam using the modified truss analogy model agrees well with the experimental data.

Sea cucumbers are worm-like, leathery bodied, benthic, marine organisms with a branched gonad. There are over 900 species, and these organisms are capable of changing their mechanical state, regenerating their small appendages, and digestive tract. Additionally, sea cucumbers possess both commercial and therapeutical value. Furthermore, it is thought that the metabolites these organisms possess may give rise to their therapeutical value. The use of sea cucumbers in therapy can be traced back to the Ming dynasty, where they were eaten for their tonic properties against constipation, hypertension, and rheumatism. A plethora of studies have been conducted, whereby different metabolites were extracted from sea cucumbers and tested for different therapeutic properties. Herein, we review and discuss the anti-cancer, anti-microbial, anti-coagulant, anti-diabetic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties of the sea cucumber by assessing literature on PubMed and Google Scholar. Furthermore, the genome and epigenome of these remarkable species is discussed. With the immense data supporting the therapeutic properties of sea cucumbers, further studies are warranted, in order to develop novel and innovative therapeutic compounds for the benefit of human health from these fascinating marine organisms.
