  • In this paper, we survey Six Sigma in Korea company real fields. Six Sigma itself are developed depend on each company culture and strategy. Our country has been more than 10 years since introduced Six Sigma in our country. Each company which work six Sigma are developed differ way depending on his company situation. Our country Six Sigma in our country is necessary to survey and analysis. Firstly, we survey how to use Six Sigma. Next, we survey to find success factor and failure factor by reports published by company and papers by published in journals.

  • In high education, knowledge is the very important resource and output. Knowledge management is the art of creating additional value from academic knowledge assets. The e-community is the network community, newly created by information communication technology, and the critical place that share and transfer people's the various knowledge and thinking and the effective space that can apply knowledge management. If we construct a convenient and useful e-community in our university, we will be able to increase the student's intellectual needs, and create new knowledge. Web-portal will promote the activity of e-community providing easy to access and personalized web circumstance. The emergence of Internet and Web access to all university services will force institutions to rethik everything. We should reconfigure our academic environment in order to adapt information technology and educational change, and must do change management based on their structure and culture.

Six Sigma Maturity Model for MeasuringEffectiveness of Six Sigma Activities (6시그마의 효과 측정을 위한 성숙도 모형 개발)

  • This paper proposes a model to assess the maturity level of Six Sigma activities. We classify the maturity level into 5 stages: initial, forming, storming, performing and mature stage. To evaluate the maturity level, 10 categories of Six Sigma with 3 factors each are identified: management leadership, belt system, expert training, establishing execution system, compensation, organization, corporate culture, customer focus, project selection, and management of project results. Scoring 277 items in total, the value of each factor is evaluated by weighted average of those items. Maturity level is appraised by rating the sum of scores of 10 categories that are obtained by summing up the values of its 3 factors. Values of weights and criteria of rating maturity levels are determined by analyzing 90 companies and Six Sigma exper's opinion. This study also shows the actual appraisal results of some companies.

  • This study examined the definitions and characteristics of TQM, procedures, problems and benefits of TQM and investigated the cases in U.S.A. and U.K. in a n.0, pplying TQM to libraries. It is necessary that libraries and information centers should a n.0, pply TQM for management innovation in order to overcome present and future crisis. As a result of study, there are three suggestions as follows. First, To be developed the TQM model for various types of libraries by national or library world. Second, To conduct TQM successfully in libraries and information centers, it is necessary to comprising the elements as follows. 1) Vision, committment and leadership of top management 2) Change of library's organizational culture 3) Learning and training of organizational members 4) Interests and participation of organizational members 5) Empowering and respecting people 6) Rewards for performance and accomplishments 7) Benchmarking 8) Measurement of performance and benefits. Third, TQM activities in libraries are developed into quality movement.

  • I have tried to find a concept among different perspectives on knowledge management. A practical framework of the enhancement of firm's competence through knowledge accumulations was developed as follows: First, All human factors should be armed with information based knowledge and leaded by chief knowledge officer. Second, Learning organization is necessary to develope knowledge creation. Third, Organization has to be controlled by information based control system for the effective linkage of several sort of information. Fourth, Shared culture of knowledge internalized by all members must help organization generate and articulate a new form of knowledge. Finally, Several information technologies and instrumental system may faster creation of knowledge. Especially, in this paper, focused on role of knowledge-based people. Furthermore, the increasing complexity of production systems and the rapidity of technological innovation have consolidated the recognition of the strategic value of safety, alongside the traditional competitive factors such as quality, costs, delivery time and flexibility, In this paper, the some critical issues of changes and counter-plan in an adequate safety management were identified by above considerations as follows: needs of systematic identification and analysis of safety factors; requirements to define priorities and budgeting to support the decision-making process; and needs of audit activities and indicators which measure company performance in terms of safety improvements, and so on.

  • There are a lot of thoughts and ideas for home, family and household in China. These thoughts and ideas hand down to posterity through classics. But, Home Economics in China doesn't have been condition of development. Home Economics in China regularly began to develop from the department of Home Science in a Women's College in SangHae. Talking this opportunity, there were departments of Home Science in many universities and colleges 1919 to 1930. But, the studies of Home Economics was discontinue by The Revolution of Culture. In that time, Home Economics was considered as a false science. In 1979, Home Economics in China began again after enforcement of the Innovation and The Open Door Policy. But up to the present it isn't systematically made up of the studies and the scientific papers of Home Economics. The department of Home Economics is only one in the College of Gillim-Agriculture. But, the objects of study in Home Economics include not only women but also men in China. Also, Home Economics in China is started first in Socialism Countries.

  • Internet has begun various transformation and innovation in terms of society, culture and industry. Today, Social Network Service(SNS) is an exceedingly popular and useful tool for making human relationships. Previous studies related to SNS, which based on Technology Acceptance Model(TAM), were focused on user acceptance of new technology. However, they had the limitations to focus on technology acceptance, without the consideration of the cognitive factors in using SNS. This study examined how the main factors of intention to use of SNS continuously affect perceived usefulness and ease of use through familiarity, self-expression, hedonic shopping value, utilitarian shopping value and personal relationship. The results of hypothesis testing showed that familiarity, self-expression, hedonic shopping value and personal relationship have some positive impacts on the perceived usefulness and ease of use. The practical contribution of this study is to suggest useful decision alternatives concerned to marketing strategies for acquiring and retaining long-term customers related to SNS business.
