More than 40 years have passed since the description of the first "free abdominoplasty flap" for breast reconstruction by Holmström. In the meantime, surgical advances and technological innovations have resulted in the widespread adoption of autologous breast reconstruction to recreate the female breast after mastectomy. While concepts and techniques are continuing to evolve, maintaining an overview is challenging. This article provides a review of current trends and recent innovations in autologous breast reconstruction.

It is becoming increasingly clear that participation in the 'new economy' driven by scientific and technological advances will be the way to achieve global prosperity in the 21st century. An analysis of the patents assigned to a particular country, using the techniques in this study, provides a means to objectively assess the potential for participating in that prosperity, and to identify strong and weak area in technological potential. The analyses are based on Korean-invented patents issued in the United States, and on the citation analysis techniques that link these patents with other patents.

Purpose - In the past, designs for traditional products have usually focused on historic techniques. However, this tradition of using historic techniques has now been replaced by the trend of using the innovative design concept. Research design, data, and methodology - To measure future market trends and quality requirements, we apply the results of the questionnaires and analyze them with various experimental processes and a design methodology. In this way, we gauge the impact of the innovative product value chain on the promotion of new products. Results - Accompanied with an innovative product value chain, the product can stimulate the development of enterprise management, which has become the main issue in social and economic development in every developed country, and can facilitate the progress of enterprise management throughout the enterprise. Conclusions - Customer demand should be emphasized as the primary means to solve design problems, to design optimal solutions, to create differentiation with competitors, and to pursue optimal marketing strategies.

Since the adoption of K-IFRS(Korean International Financial Reporting Standards), the amount of financial footnotes has been increased. However, due to the stereotypical phrase and the lack of conciseness, deriving the core information from footnotes is not really easy yet. To propose a solution for this problem, this study tried financial footnote analysis for financial ratio predictions based on text-mining techniques. Using the financial statements data from 2013 to 2018, we tried to predict the earning per share (EPS) of the following quarter. We found that measured prediction errors were significantly reduced when text-mined footnotes data were jointly used. We believe this result came from the fact that discretionary financial figures, which were hardly predicted with quantitative financial data, were more correlated with footnotes texts.

The computer-based simulation tools are currently used overwhelmingly to simulate the performance of automotive designs. Then, the search for an optimal solution that satisfies a number of performance requirements usually involves numerous iterations among several simulation tools. Therefore, meta-modeling techniques are becoming widely used to build approximations of computationally expensive computer analysis tools. The set-based approach proposed in the first report of a four-part paper has been a test bed for the innovation of vehicle structure design process in the Structural Design and Fabrication Committee of JSAE(Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan). In the second report, the proposed design approach is illustrated with a side-door impact beam design example using meta-modeling techniques.

본 연구는 ASP 서비스를 활용하고 있는 소기업을 대상으로 혁신특성과 관계특성이 고객성과에 미치는 영향과 공급자 신뢰가 혁신특성 및 관계특성과 고객성과 간에 미치는 조절적인 영향을 분석하였다. 표본자료는 설문지 기법을 활용하여 수집하였으며, 통계분석은 회귀분석을 이용하였다. 분석결과 혁신특성의 상대적 이점, 타사업자 영향은 고객성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 관계특성에서는 정보공유정도는 고객성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 변수로 분석되었으나, 참여자 유연성 요인은 고객성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않는 변수로 분석되었다. 공급자 신뢰의 조절적 역할을 분석한 결과에서는 공급자 신뢰는 혁신특성 및 관계특성과 함께 고객성과에 조절적인 역할을 하는 변수로 분석되었다. 따라서 ASP 서비스를 이용하고 있는 소기업에서는 고객성과를 극대화하기 위해서는 혁신특성과 관계특성의 정보공유정도 요인이 중요한 요인임을 알 수 있었고, 공급자 신뢰는 고객사에게는 아주 중요한 변수임을 알 수 있었다.

Machine-learning techniques have been actively employed to information security in recent years. Traditional rule-based security solutions are vulnerable to advanced attacks due to unpredictable behaviors and unknown vulnerabilities. By employing ML techniques, we are able to develop intrusion detection systems (IDS) based on anomaly detection instead of misuse detection. Moreover, threshold issues in anomaly detection can also be resolved through machine-learning. There are very few datasets for network intrusion detection compared to datasets for malicious code. KDD CUP 99 (KDD) is the most widely used dataset for the evaluation of IDS. Numerous studies on ML-based IDS have been using KDD or the upgraded versions of KDD. In this work, we develop an IDS model using CSE-CIC-IDS 2018, a dataset containing the most up-to-date common network attacks. We employ deep-learning techniques and develop a convolutional neural network (CNN) model for CSE-CIC-IDS 2018. We then evaluate its performance comparing with a recurrent neural network (RNN) model. Our experimental results show that the performance of our CNN model is higher than that of the RNN model when applied to CSE-CIC-IDS 2018 dataset. Furthermore, we suggest a way of improving the performance of our model.

Indonesia is more prone to natural disasters due to its geological condition under the three main plates, making Indonesia experience frequent seismic activity, causing earthquakes, volcanic eruption, and tsunami. Those disasters could lead to other disasters such as landslides, floods, land subsidence, and coastal inundation. Monitoring those disasters could be essential to predict and prevent damage to the environment. We reviewed the application of remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) for detecting natural disasters in the case of Indonesia, based on 43 articles. The remote sensing and GIS method will be focused on InSAR techniques, image classification, and susceptibility mapping. InSAR method has been used to monitor natural disasters affecting the deformation of the earth's surface in Indonesia, such as earthquakes, volcanic activity, and land subsidence. Monitoring landslides in Indonesia using InSAR techniques has not been found in many studies; hence it is crucial to monitor the unstable slope that leads to a landslide. Image classification techniques have been used to monitor pre-and post-natural disasters in Indonesia, such as earthquakes, tsunami, forest fires, and volcano eruptions. It has a lack of studies about the classification of flood damage in Indonesia. However, flood mapping was found in susceptibility maps, as many studies about the landslide susceptibility map in Indonesia have been conducted. However, a land subsidence susceptibility map was the one subject to be studied more to decrease land subsidence damage, considering many reported cases found about land subsidence frequently occur in several cities in Indonesia.

본 연구는 R&D 투자와 기술무역 변수들 간에 어떠한 인과관계가 있는지를 검토하고, 그 결과에 대한 정책적 함의를 제시함으로써 연구개발 활동의 촉진과 기술무역 활성화 방안을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이에 정부 R&D 투자, 민간 R&D 투자, 기술도입, 그리고 기술수출로 구성된 다변량 모형을 설정하고, 오차수정모형을 토대로 Granger-인과성 검정을 실시하였다. 분석결과 단기적으로는 총 5개의 인과관계가 성립하는 것으로 나타났고, 장기적으로는 정부 R&D 투자에서 기술수출로의 인과관계를 제외한 11개의 관계에서 인과성이 존재하는 것으로 확인되었다. 아울러 충격반응분석을 통해 시간의 흐름에 따라 각 변수들이 특정변수의 충격에 어떻게 반응하는지도 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 R&D 투자와 기술무역간의 인과관계를 실증적으로 분석함으로써 그 관계를 명확히 하고, 도출된 결과들을 토대로 연구개발 활동 및 기술무역진흥을 위한 시사점을 제시하고 있다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.
