내면 핀관을 사용하는 열교환기에서 R-22 대체 탄화수소계 냉매의 증발 열전달 특성 (Evaporating heat transfer characteristics of R-22 alternative hydrocarbon refrigerants at heat exchanger using grooved inner tube)

  • In this paper, evaporation heat transfer characteristics at a inner grooved tube were studied using a new natural refrigerants R-290, R-600a and HCFC refrigerant R-22. Experiments were performed in the inner tube with outside diameter of 12.70mm, having 75 fins with a fin height of 0.25mm. The following results were obtained from this research. On the evaporating heat transfer characteristics, the maximum increment of heat transfer coefficient was found in R-290. Average heat transfer coefficient was obtained the maximum value in R-290 and the minimum value in R-22. It reveals that the natural refrigerant can be used as a substitute for R-22. In the grooved inner tube, 70% of the increment of the heat transfer coefficient was obtained compared to the smooth tube. Comparing the heat transfer coefficient between experimental results and simulation data of other's, the Kandlikar's correlated equation was closely approximated to the author's experimental results in the smooth tube or grooved inner one.

  • 수소 액화시스템의 중요한 구성요소인 열교환기를 이중관 형태로 설계 제작하여 극저온 영역에서의 유용도를 실험적으로 측정하였다. 이중관 열교환기의 내관과 내 외관 사이의 환상 공간으로 수소를 공급하고, 온도와 압력, 유량을 측정하였다. 측정된 온도와 유량으로부터 유용도를 환산한 결과, 열교환면적이 증가함에 따라 열교환기의 유용도는 증가하였다. 또한 저온 수소와 고온 수소의 열용량비가 감소함에 따라 열교환기의 유용도는 증가하나 유용도의 증가폭은 감소하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수소 액화시스템에 필요한 유용도를 얻기 위한 열교환기의 길이 및 열용량비의 선정 기준을 제시하였다.

  • 단일 핀-관열교환기와 관련된 열역학적 최적설계법을 기준하여 핀-관열교환기의 엔트로피 생성율을 조사하였다. 엔트로피 생성율(비가역성)해석법을 사용하여 최적설계조건을 구하였고 설계조건의 변화에 따른 총엔트로피 생성율과 핀의 길이, 관의 안지름과 바깥지름 및 핀간거리를 조사하였다. 이 연구의 결과에 따르면 바깥지름이 클수록 최적핀간거리와 핀높이는 커지고 엔트로피 생성율과 최적안지름은 작아진다. 또한 핀 두께를 증가시키면 계의 엔트로피 생성율과 최적핀간거리는 증가하고 핀높이를 증가시키면 엔트로피 생성율과 최적바깥지름은 증가한다.

  • Specifically designed mandrel is needed to expand tube of the heat exchanger with inner grooves. Configuration of the expanded tube depends upon the shape and feeding velocity of the mandrel. 3D simulation software LS-DYNA was used to obtain optimum design conditions of the mandrel. We show how configuration of the expanded tube varies with different design parameters such as the approaching angle, diameter , and the feeding velocity of the mandrel. Material property data for analysis were obtained through experiments with SHPB ( Split Hopkinson Pressure Bars ).

저온 폐열회수용 진동세관형 히트파이프 열교환기의 작동 유체에 따른 열전달 특성 (Influence of Working Fluids to Heat Transfer Characteristics of the Heat Exchanger using Oscillating Capillary Tube Heat Pipe for Low Temperature Waste Heat Recovery)

  • Heat transfer characteristics of a heat exchanger for low temperature waste heat recovery using oscillating capillary tube heat pipe were evaluated against the charge ratio variation of working fluid and various working fluids. R-l42b, R-22 and R-290 were used as working fluids. The heat exchanger was composed of heat pipe with capillary tube bundles, having a 2.6mm in outer diameter, 1.4mm in inner diameter with 101m long, and 40 turns. Charge ratio of working fluid was 40% and 50%. Water was used as secondary fluid. Inlet temperature and mass velocity for each secondary fluid were 297 K, 280 K and9~27 kg /$m^2s$,, respectively. From experimental results, it was found that heat transfer performance of R-22 was higher than those of R-l42b and R-290 and it was proportional to Figure of merit for thermosyphons. As a result, it was thought that R-22 was the most suitable working fluid of waste heat recovery for low temperature waste heat recovery.

  • An AHX(Accumulator Heat eXchanger) consists of a commercial accumulator and an inner heat exchanger located inside of the accumulator. The AHX is used in multi air-conditioners to assure the liquid-phase refrigerant entering into the expansion device. This purpose is achieved by heat transfer between the refrigerant leaving the evaporator and the refrigerant leaving the condenser. In this study, the effects of AHX on the performance of a refrigeration system using H-22 were measured and the test results were analyzed. The operating characteristics of the refrigeration system with the installation of AHX were quite different from those without the installation of AHX. Therefore, it is required to find an optimum refrigerant charging amount and optimum operating conditions, when AHX is installed in the refrigeration system with an fixed area expansion device such as a capillary tube.

외부유로 내벽에 설치된 핀 형상에 따른 이중관 열교환기의 열전달 및 유동에 대한 수치해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study on Heat Transfer and Flow Characteristics of a Finned Downhole Coaxial Heat Exchanger)

  • 본 연구에서는 이중관 지중열교환기의 내부에 삽입되는 유로의 외벽에 설치된 핀 형상에 따른 유동 및 열전달 특성의 변화를 수치해석적으로 분석하였다. 해석에는 상용 CFD 소프트웨어인 Ansys Fluent를 이용하였으며, SST $k-{\omega}$ 난류 모델을 적용하였다. 지중열교환기의 성능을 높일 수 있는 핀의 형상을 찾기 위하여 핀의 각도($15^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$), 높이비(0.1, 0.3, 0.5), 그리고 핀 간의 간격비(1, 3, 5)를 변화시키며 해석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 핀의 각도와 높이가 증가하면서 대부분의 핀 형상에서 외각유로의 외벽과 내벽에서 Nusselt 수가 증가하는 경향이 나타났다. 하지만 핀 각도 $15^{\circ}$, 높이 비 0.3 이하의 형상에서 핀이 설치되지 않은 경우보다 외벽의 열전달계수는 증가하며 내벽의 열전달 계수가 감소하는 결과를 관찰하였다. 또한 핀 간의 간격이 감소할 경우 외벽의 열전달계수는 큰 변화가 없으나 내벽의 열전달계수는 감소하는 경향이 나타났다.

  • In this study, the heat transfer and flow field of condenser used on Kim-chi refrigerator is analysed with numerical method. Main objective is to present the base data for designing new condenser model with improvement of heat transfer performance. For CFD analysis, a commercial code, STAR-CCM+ was used. The water was used for the inner working fluid and the air was used for the outer fluid. The condenser type used in this study is a flat plate fin-and-tube heat exchanger. As factors for performance analysis, the effect of condenser geometry and air velocity was investigated. As a result, it has been observed that there is a suitable fin pitch with which heat transfer performance of condenser is maximized.

  • Performance of the asymmetric trapezoidal fin with various upper lateral surface slopes is investigated by using the two-dimensional analytic method. For a fin base boundary condition, convection from the inner fluid to the inner wall, conduction from the inner wall to the fin base and conduction through the fin base are considered. Heat loss and fin efficiency are represented as a function of the fin base thickness, base height, inner fluid convection characteristic number, fin tip length and fin shape factor. One of the results shows that heat loss increases while fin efficiency decreases as the fin shape factor increases.

인공폐(산화기) 제작과 실험 (Design & Animal Experiment of Artificial Oxygenator)

  • We have designed a new type of bubble oxygenator (KOREA-KIM VENOTHERM OXYGENATOR) made of PVC sheet and deforming mesh incorporated in the heat exchanger, and evaluated in experimental animal for the analysis of it`s efficiency. The Oxygenator has low priming volume with high flow rate up to 6 L/rain, and efficiency of heat exchanger was excellent as 1-$1.5^{\circ}C.$ using total cardiopulmonary bypass method under moderate to deep hypothermia. Average priming volume of 1317 ml with 30% hemodilution method was perfused with an average of 1.1-3.0 L/min.$M^2$of arterial blood and pure oxygen at a rate of 2-3.4 L/min for 49.6 minutes continuously in average. During total cardiopulmonary bypass, average $PaO_2$ was $159.8{\pm}60$mmHg, $PaCO_2$ $41.0{\pm}3$mmHg respectively under $SaO_2$ over 96% with systolic arterial pressure of 70 mmHg and CVP of 5-10 cm$H_2O$. Plasma free Hemoglobin was $7.0{\pm}4$ mg/dl with 25% drop of hemoglobin and hematocrit at the end of cardiopulmonary bypass. This KKV Oxygenator was observed to have excellent capabillty of oxygen and carbon dioxide gas transfer with small amount of blood trauma, and the efficiency of heat exchanger was satisfactory during cooling and rewarming of the bubbled blood. Disadvantages have included the somewhat poor deforming effect due to loose PVC fiber mesh, the extracompact character of Teflon filters, and the rough inner surface of the heat exchanger copper pipes.
