SCR 시스템 내 암모니아 분사 균일도 개선을 위한 AIG 설계에 관한 해석적 연구 (Computational Study on Design of the AIG for the Enhancement of Ammonia Injection in the SCR System)

  • 선택적 촉매환원(selective catalytic reduction, SCR) 시스템에서 사용되는 환원제의 효용성을 극대화하기 위해 적용되는 암모니아주입관(ammonia injection gun, AIG) 성능은 유량의 분배, 공기분배다기관(air distribution manifold, ADM)의 배치 그리고 노즐의 배열 및 형상 등에 의해 영향을 받는다. 본 연구에서는 전산유체역학(computational fluid dynamics, CFD) 기법을 이용하여 AIG 성능의 지표가 되는 토출 유량 균일도를 통계적인 수치로 표현하여 관련된 설계인자들과 SCR 시스템의 성능 사이의 상관관계를 평가하고자 하였다. 관내 유동에서 일어나는 유체역학적인 현상의 영향으로 AIG에 대한 공급유량이 증가할 때 각 노즐에서의 토출 유량의 균일도는 감소하는 해석결과를 얻었으며 헤더로부터 가까울수록 분지관으로의 유량분배율이 낮아짐과 동시에 헤더에 가까운 노즐일수록 토출유량이 적어지는 현상을 파악하였다. 각 분지관에 대해 유입 면적대비 노즐의 총 면적비가 0.5 미만일 때 토출 유량의 균일도와 분지관의 유량분배가 매우 균일해지는 것으로 파악되었다.

  • 펌프공급방식 액체로켓엔진 가스발생기의 매니폴드를 대상으로, 연료 및 산화제의 유량 균일성을 파악하기 위하여 유동해석을 수행하였다. 3가지의 연료링과 3가지의 분사기 헤드 형상에 대하여 유동해석을 수행함으로써, 유량균일성을 검토하였다. 이를 통해 최적의 유량균일성을 가지는 연료링과 분사기 헤드의 형상을 결정하였다. 또한 분사기 출구에서의 혼합비 분포를 유동해석 결과로부터 도출하였다. 이를 통하여, 연료와 산화제 모두 유량균일성이 우수한 형상을 결정할 수 있었다.

  • In recent, LCD becomes one of the main display devices and expected to have quite good market share during the next couple of years. The demand for low cost and high performance, however, is becoming severe as the competition among other display devices like PDP, OLED increases. To satisfy this demand from market, we need to optimize the parts or modules of the LCD, reduce the number of the assemble and enhance the process for the high brightness and uniformity of the LCD. The LCD consists mainly of LCD panel and Backlight unit(BLU). BLU, which takes big portion of the cost for LCD, consists of light source, light guide panel and many kinds of functional film. Recently light guide panel or film for BLU has micro patterns on its surface and consequently to reduce the number of parts and enhace the brightness and its uniformity. In this study, some methodologies for the fabrication of the master/stamper and molding the light quide panel are introduced for 50um pitch of prizm patterned substrate. Mechanical machining process is adapted and optimized to fabricate micro patterned stamper using the micro cutting tool. Injection molding technology is also developed to obtain uniformly replicated micro patterned products.

균일 냉각을 고려한 Thick-Wall 형상의 플라스틱 렌즈 쾌속 금형 제작 (Manufacturing of Rapid Tooling for Thick-Wall Plastic Lens Mold with Conformal Cooling Channel)

  • In the optical application demand for high quality lens is increasing. Plastics lenses are demanded more than glass lenses for large size lenses as well as micro-size lenses. It is difficult to apply typical straight cooling channels of injection mold to lens molding due to its non-uniform temperature distribution. In this study, we manufactured molds for plastic lenses with the conventional cooling channels and conformal cooling channels produced by the DMLS process. We evaluated cooling performance for the 2 molds by injection molding experiment. Also, uniformity of the temperature distribution was tested by infrared camera and temperature monitoring. We confirmed that the cooling performance and temperature uniformity with the conformal cooling channels is much improved from the ones with the conventional. The cooling time with the conformal cooling channels was reduced 30% compared with the conventional cooling channels.

과열액체제트의 미립화에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Superheated Liquid Jet)

  • Experiments have been carried out to study the atomisation characteristics of superheated liquid(water) jet injected into the atmosphere through a single-hole nozzle. In present experi-mental range, superheated liquid jet has been observed to be atomised in two-phase effluent type; that is, spray formed by the bubble nucleation in the nozzle. In case of liquid injection through a long nozzle (L/D=29.09), the critical superheat for occurrence of two-phase effluent atomisa-tion can be determined from sudden change of spray angle. Sauter mean diameter of the spray droplets decreases as the degree of superheat increases. For the short nozzle (L/D=7.27), mean diameter increases with the injection pressure, while it decreases for the long nozzle; however for the long nozzle the effect of injection pressure is not significant compared with the short nozzle. For the short nozzle the uniformity of drop size distribution increases with increasing the degree of superheat, but for the long nozzle the effect of superheat on the uniformity is not appreciable.

  • Speaking in general terms the form injection process can be described as a new process-variant of already known structural foam molding technology which roots go back to the early sixties. The most limiting factors of already know foaming processes are large cell size and the lack of uniformity of these cells as well and the inability to foam all kinds of plastic materials. In this paper, Process Study on weight change in injection rate during foaming. Experimental conditions were set as the injection speed 50,150,300 and 450 mm/s. The experiments PA, PA+GF, PP, was confirmed that the weight increase to PP+TA.

  • Optimum injection molding condition for a box mold was searched by the Response Surface Analysis(RSA) with the aid of process monitoring system(PMS). Process variables on the control panel of the injection molding machine such as barrel temperatures, screw speed profile, holding pressures, etc. cannot guarantee the uniformity of the material variables directly related with the state of the product in the mold cavity. In order to make sure the state of the resin in the cavity, pressures and temperatures in the cavity, runner and nozzle were monitored in the experiment with the PMS. To accomplish the consistency of the molding process, dependent variables such as the switchover point and holding time were searched with the PMS. With a proper objective function about deflection of the box-type product, the optimum injection molding condition was obtained.

CAE 해석을 이용한 오토바이 리어카울 사출성형에 관한 연구 (A study on the motorcycle lear cowl injection molding by CAE analysis)

  • In this paper, in order to improve the formability and quality of the injection molded parts in the molds for molding the motorcycle rear cowl injection molded parts with different volumes at the same time, the flow of the molded parts is changed through the injection molding CAE analysis by changing the gate position, runner size and position. It is to find the optimum gate position, the diameter of the runner and the position where the balance is equal. The molded article formed by the optimization resulted in the uniformity of the molten resin at the same time at the corner of the product, thereby maintaining the flow balance favorable for mass production at lower injection pressure.

  • Wet etching process in recent semiconductor manufacturing is devided into batch and single wafer type. Batch type wet etching process provides more throughput with poor etching uniformity compared to single wafer type process. Single wafer process achieves better etching uniformity by boom-swing injected chemical on rotating wafer. In this study, etching characteristics of $SiO_2$ layer at room and elevated temperature is evaluated and compared. The difference in etching rate and uniformity of each condition is identified, and the temperature profile of injected chemical is theoretically calculated and compared to that of experimental result. Better etching uniformity is observed with single wafer tool with boom-swing injection compared to single wafer process without boom-swing or batch type tool.

광학시뮬레이션과 새로운 사출성형법을 사용한 TFT-LCD용 고휘도 프리즘 도광판 (High Brightness Prism Light-guide Plate for TFT-LCDs Using Optical Simulation and Novel Injection Mold Process)

  • We have designed high performance prism light-guide plate (LGP) in 17 inch TFT-LCD. In test result to embody high brightness BLU in case of LGP of base and upper surface with 17 inch, thickness 8mm adding prism construct. Using optical simulation, we forecast the brightness and uniformity in LGP with prism structure. And we adopted novel injection mold method and Nickel stamper to make actual evolution sample. Novel injection mold process has steady heating time zone in heat cycle time of injection mold process. For this novel heat cycle control, we achieved above 90[%] height prism structure as our design. It is superior brightness improvement than previous that of printing form about some 20[%] and in this course to embody actual material it succeeded prism LGP production by 17 inch injection form process.
