The Effects of a Physical Computing Convergence Class to the Science Exploration Experiment Subject of High School on the SW Education Recognition and the Convergence Literacy (고등학교 과학탐구실험 교과에 피지컬 컴퓨팅을 융합한 수업이 SW 교육 인식 및 융합 소양에 미치는 영향)

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution and convergence, various discussions and studies have been conducted to develop future social talents, and through this, the need for creative convergence talents is increasing. In line with the change to a software-oriented society, countries around the world are trying to strengthen SW education, but high school students' awareness of the necessity of information subject and SW education that is the center of convergence is insufficient. Therefore, opportunities for convergence of the information subject and various fields should be provided. In this study, information education was converged to the science exploration experiment subject to construct an educational program that can develop creative convergence, and a convergence class using physical computing were applied to high school students for 9 hours. As a result of the experiment, the recognition of SW education of the experimental group was improved, and it was confirmed that the learner's convergence literacy of the experimental group was statistically different from that of the control group that conducted the general science experiment class.

  • Computational thinking is a subject that must be selected by non-major freshmen at H University, and classes are completed regardless of their major. The class content is conducted using block coding that allows easy access to programming. A survey was conducted before the start of the semester class to find out the students' interest in the subject and to help the students understand it. This study analyzes the student's survey response data so that the students' interest in the subject can be grasped at a glance.

  • 정보 교과 교육과정의 평가에 관한 연구는 기존의 교육평가의 연구와 마찬가지로 대부분 평가 방법에 초점을 맞춘 특징을 보인다. 타일러에 의해 교육과정의 한 영역으로 자리잡은 교육평가는 구성주의 이론의 발달과 더불어 결과중심 평가에서 과정 중심평가로 관점이 이동하고 있으며 형성평가, 협동학습에 네트워크를 적용한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 구성주의 이론을 바탕으로 세부 구성 요소들에 대하여 평가 구성요소 분류 개념에 따라 각 국의 정보교과교육과정 평가 체계를 고찰하였다.

  • In this paper, we present theoretical queuing analysis for hybrid overlay/underlay Cognitive Radio (CR) system by applying M/M/1 queuing model where the rate of arrival and the service capacity are subject to Poisson alterations. Numerical results are used to prove a high degree of accuracy for the derived expressions. The result can be used as a benchmark to evaluate the performance of a hybrid overlay/underlay CR system.

  • Rising rate of IT industry in world economy, major countries strengthen IT education. Especially, Owing to SW become significant in IT industry, curriculums of school to enlarge SW education are made in major country. Korea Association of Information Education have studied a new curriculum and suggest a new plan that content of information education classify by 'computer system', 'SW production' and 'fusion activity'. Therefore we study on a curriculum for information of SW production of elementary and middle school. In this paper we firstly suggest object to achieve on information of SW production of elementary and middle school. Next we suggest teaching learning method and evaluation method on them. we expect that the object to achieve on information of SW production we suggest will contribute to develop the curriculum of ICT subject.

  • Newspaper Article Information is an important source of information on social phenomenon with historical value. The development of computer and technology of information communication enables the construction of Newspaper Article Database by CTS and service through computer communication. It made it possible for the peoples to utilize the Newspaper Article Information easily. However, it is very difficult to utilize the currently prevailing system. There are differences in classification system of Newspaper Article Database and the Data Display Format. This survey aims to review the characteristics of Newspaper Article Database and current domestic computer communication service system. By comparing the classification system of Retrieval Menu and Data Display Format, I intended to suggest the standardized way of utilization which enables the users utilize them more easily and conveniently. The results of this survey is as follows : 1. More sub-divided distinction of classification item is required. 2. Separate classification item should be established for the distinction of article form which is very difficult to classify the subject. 3. Data Display Format should be equi n.0, pped with standardized format and signal which enables the users recognize it easily.

  • This paper is concerned with the design and construction of navigational interfaces on the web-based multimedia courseware, in particular for the education of elementary school children. Three different types of navigational strategies for the different structures of information are discussed. For hierarchically organised subject material, a single menu list is considered to be the most appropriate means of navigation. The interface of the 'Study of the Internet' provides a combination of child and sibling menus and sequential tools. The menus are used for navigating topics and subtopics, and the sequential method is used for navigating pages. The final navigational interface has the advantages of allowing the student flexible navigation, and proving an indication of progress through the subject material. Finally, the combination of menu and sequential navigational methods allow a student to maintain context, whilst navigating through different levels of hierarchical information. It thus reduces the danger that the student will lose their way, without overconstraining the navigational path.

  • A flood of biological data has caused many challenges in computing. Bioinformatics, the application of computational techniques to analyze the information associated with biomolecules on a large-scale, has now firmly established itself as an interdisciplinary subject in molecular biology, and encompasses a wide range of subject areas from structural biology, genomics, proteomics, systems biology, biostatistics to computer science. In this review, I provide an introduction and overview of the current state of bioinformatics. Looking at the types of biological information and databases that are commonly used, I also deals with some of bioinformatics application domains which are closely related to areas of computer science.
