  • Recently, due to the several factors such as the advent of very large vessels and high-speed vessels, and the increase of the maritime traffic density at sea, the obligation, responsibility and burden of marine officers on duty for the safety of navigation has been highly escalated. Under these situations, if the appropriate and correct navigational information is given to officers at real time by means of certain integrated information processing system, these obligation, burden and danger can be reduced. This paper deals with the study on the development of the Navigational Information Monitoring and Recording System that can give and record the integrated navigational information based on the personal computer system installed on board. To construct this system, the interface unit which changes different signal types of navigational equipments to NMEA 0183 signal format and the application software to show the visual navigational information were developed. In this study, the navigation system of T/S HANBADA in Korea Maritime University was used in order to construct the actual system that can be utilized in other ships, and also the performance test was carried out several times to examine the performance of the system developed. It was proved that all functions of the system as designed worked smoothly through the performance test. Also this system could be operated easily and conveniently by every user.

  • We have recognized that an organization should be viewed from a multifaceted perspective necessitating a sophisticated analytical and systematic approach to monitor and improve organizational performance. Although some performance measurement systems have been proposed and are currently being used in many organizations, no performance measurement system has presented a mechanism for integrating all of the information of performance measures in a way that considers relationships between them. This paper introduces the implementation of the performance information integration method(PIIM) which synthesizes all useful information of performance measures with consideration of the relationship and generates a single, global, organizational performance score. The PIIM was empirically validated by implementing in one of missouri Veterans Homes.

  • Interest about Information infrastructure construction is enlarged socially according to arrival of information age, and various information systems are constructed for efficient business processing, customer service in public sector. According to subjective method for performance improvement for information system of public sector and engine that propel information system construction because it is no definite hardware sizing guidelines for information system caterer, is calculating resource volume of information system. It is situation that problem of excess of scale or reduce sizing is happening and is causing various kind of problems that is waste of information budget and service decline thereby. In this research, we proposed hardware sizing framework for information system that is applied to pubic sector.

  • In this paper, We analyzes how a synchronization error affects receiving system when using OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) transmission method in wireless LAN channel environment in which we can efficiently transmit wide-band information data. As a performance improvement method, performance distortion can be improved by applying convolution coding. As a result, in OFDM system, we could see that the higher a frequency offset is, the worse performance will be, and we could see that there was performance improvement by applying convolution coding in OFDM system in order to reach (BER=$10^{-3}$). However, when we use 64QAM (64Quadrature Amplitude Modulation), there was a huge influence between carriers by frequency offset at 0.05, 0.1.

  • According as the requirement of custom for the enterprise or government organization gets to be various, the enterprise or government organization has been quickly changing to cope with the situation. Recently, by considering a domestic situation which is intending the e-government, the service for the people to apply the information technology of a local autonomous entity is very much need. However, it is actual circumstances that share and application of information is not smoothly realized in the state that government organization introduces the relevant system. To solve this problem, this paper performs a study what the level of interoperability has relation to organizational Performance using interoperability with information system.

  • In the QR Decomposition-based (QRD) decoding class, the system performance is sensitive to the error propagation. Thus, it is critical to correctly decode the previous layers. One approach to desensitize the error propagation is to propose the optimal decoding order of layers. In this work, we propose a new extended-list Sorted QRD-base (SQRD) decoding approach. In the proposed decoding scheme, the solution of the few first layers is extended as the list of promising possible solutions. By doing so, the diversity of the lowest layer is increased. As a result, the system performance is less sensitive to the error propagation than its counterparts. The proposed approach is verified by the computer simulation results.

  • Load balancing is the major benefit of any distributed system. To facilitate this advantage, task duplication and migration methodologies are employed. As this paper deals with dependent tasks (DAG), we used duplication. Task duplication reduces the overall schedule length of DAG along-with load balancing. This paper proposes a new task duplication algorithm at the time of tasks assignment on various processors. With the intention of conducting proposed algorithm performance computation; simulation has been done on the Netbeans IDE. The mesh topology of a distributed system is simulated at this juncture. For task duplication, overall schedule length of DAG is the main parameter that decides the performance of a proposed duplication algorithm. After obtaining the results we compared our performance with arbitrary task assignment, CAWF and HEFT-TD algorithms. Additionally, we also compared the complexity of the proposed algorithm with the Duplication Based Bottom Up scheduling (DBUS) and Heterogeneous Earliest Finish Time with Task Duplication (HEFT-TD).

  • In recent years, as IT technologies such as cloud computing and mobile payment have evolved and Internet users have increased, the Internet financial market has become intelligent, mobile, and platformed. This study considers the impact of the psychological characteristics of platform systems and users on the performance of fintech platforms. The results of this study are as follows. Information quality affected trust and commitment, service quality affected commitment only, and system quality affected trust and commitment. The perceived risk affected trust and commitment, and the perceived benefit only affected trust and was shown to have an insignificant relationship with immersion. Trust has been shown to have a significant relationship with commitment, and both trust and commitment affected performance. In the validation of mediation effects, trust has shown a partially mediated effect between information quality, system quality, perceived risks, and perceived benefits and performance. There was no mediation effect between service quality and performance. Immersion has been shown to have a partial mediating effect between information quality, service quality, system quality, perceived risk and performance, and there is no mediating effect between perceived benefits and performance. This study showed what are the main factors that affect the performance of the fintech platform and will be used as a useful foundation for increasing the performance of the platform in the future.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to empirically verify an ePortfolio success model which shows the structural causal relationships among the basic modeling constructs. We developed the success model based on DeLone and Mclean(2003) from IS perspective and on Balaban et al(2013) from ePortfolio perspective. And we are focused on the success of ePortfolio system designed for college students and professors. Design/methodology/approach Structural equation modeling techniques were applied to data collected 375 users of the ePortfolio system, K-Folio, at least one semester during one academic year. The structural model was analyzed using a Lisrel 8.54 statistical program. Findings The followings are the findings of the study. First, the constructs of IS success model are well applied to ePortfolio for college education. Second, the proposed model which has direct causal relationships from ePortfolio's quality to performance is more significant than the D&M and Balaban's model(2013). Third, the information quality among ePortfolio quality constructs does not have effect on system usability and performance. It means that information contents' quality issued by professor or system manager is not satisfied with the students yet. Finally, by using indirect analysis of structural equation model, we found that the ePortfolio operation manager should focus on ensuring system maintenance activities and providing fast and accurate services for improving ePortfolio performance.
