Cyber hackings are increasing and becoming more intelligent. The government and private companies conduct various information protection activities by investing lots of money and employing security personnel to protect import ant assets and personal information. It is important to evaluate the efficiency of the information protection activities that cost lots of money and manpower. However, the studies on the efficiency of the information protection activities were mainly conducted for government agencies the information of which is more readily available. This study suggests a model that can evaluate the efficiency of the activities of information protection and information security certification of various private companies. Our model evaluates the efficiency of the information protection activities by applying AHP and DEA on the information that are publicly announced by the private companies. Our model identifies the DMUs that are efficiently operated and suggests the improvement policies for the DMU that are non-efficiently operated.
The purpose of this study is to find out the most successful way for the protection of medical information focusing on the electronic medical record(EMR). In this study, every aspect of the EMR is reviewed in terms of the hospital management. In particular, definitions, major functions, strengths and weaknesses of the EMR are considered. This study also examines the general development of the EMR as well as the current situation of applying the EMR. Important issues such as the protection of patient Medical information, informed consent, and the customer-oriented hospital information system are discussed and interpreted in light of the introduction of the EMR into the area of the hospital management. Finally, in this paper Protection of medical information by major Issues on Patient medical information.
The Location Based Services comprised GIS and Telecommunication allow users to receive various services based on their geographic location. It is need to legislation to encourage the provision and use of location information by providing privacy protection to users. But the contents of the legislation proposed by Korean government have problems conflicted between protection of a person's location information and invigoration of location-based services. The purpose of this study is to search complementary measures for privacy protection of location information from a viewpoint of effective management strategy for geographic information.

With the rising reliance on market estimation through customer analysis in customer-centered marketing, there is a rapid increase in the amount of personal data owned by corporations. There has been a corresponding rise in the customers' interest in personal information protection, and the problem of personal information leakage has risen as a serious issue. The purpose of this research is to develop a diagnosis model for personal information protection that is suited to our country's corporate environment, and on this basis, to present diagnostic instruments that can be applied to domestic corporations. This diagnosis model is a structural equation model that schematizes the degree of synthetic effect that administration factors and estimation items have on the protection of personal information owned by corporations. We develop the model- consisting of the administration factors for personal information protection and the measurement items of each factor- using the development method of standardized structural equation model. We then present a tool through which the administration factors and estimation items verified through this model can be used in the diagnosis for personal information protection in corporations. This diagnostic tool can be utilized as a useful instrument to prevent in advance the leakage of personal information in corporations.

The purpose of this study was to examine the recognition of health administration students on personal information protection in an effort to be of use for raising awareness of personal information protection in students and for having them practice it in the right way. The subjects in this study were 687 college students who majored in health administration. A survey was conducted from December 3, 2012, to June 21, 2013. As a result, it's found that just 17.2 percent were cognizant of the personal information protection act. As for recognition and practice of personal information protection domain, the students who were aware of the personal information protection act significantly excelled the others who weren't in every area of recognition and practice, and there was a positive correlation between the level of practice, as better recognition led to better practice. The awareness rate of information for a personal identification stood at 57.0 percent, and the awareness rate of personal information to be managed stood at 53.7 percent, which were both at an intermediate level. To raise awareness of the personal information protection act in health administration students, a course that can deal with this act should separately be offered so that they could have the right understanding of personal information protection and practice it properly.
Smart work refers to enhancing the efficiency of work by utilizing smart devices. Smart work improves business productivity by improving business productivity of companies, reducing costs, but there is a threat to various information protection. To operate telecommuting, mobile office, and smart work center, hardware and software are needed to support various network resources, servers, and platforms. As a result, there are many vulnerabilities to security and information protection that protect information resources. In this paper, we analyze the smart work environment for smart work service and analyze vulnerability for smart work information protection through analysis of IOS27001 and KISA-ISMS. We have developed requirements for information protection requirements for users and service providers. We have developed a solution for information security protection for smart work environments such as common parts, mobile office, telecommuting, and smart work center for security threats and weaknesses per smart work type.

In the phono-sapiens era of the intelligence information society, most business activities are increasingly dependent on networks and information systems. SMEs, which occupy the majority of Korean companies, are increasingly possessing the value and technology of their information assets, and their ability to protect core technologies that are the driving force of corporate growth will be the most important competitiveness of enterprises. Accordingly, the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency(KISA) provides a foundation for minimizing the damage from cyber threats such as hacking and information leakage by evaluating the current information protection level of SMEs and enhancing information protection capability by supporting a high level of customized information protection consulting. In this study, we analyze the effectiveness of information protection based on the results of KISA SMEs consulting. In addition, by identifying problems and limitations derived from SMEs information protection consulting results, SMEs should propose measures to improve information security of SMEs that can manage information protection management system more efficiently and effectively.
Companies using internet as a kind of marketing means are increasing rapidly according to the expansion trend of e-commerce through internet and consumers also use internet as the common means of purchasing necessary articles. E-commerce using internet has advantages without limitation to temporal and spatial accessibility and general consumers and unspecified individuals also use internet to purchase their goods as well as general transactions such as advertisement, contract, payment and claim settlement. 'In the age of information, invasion of personal information resulted from the development of information and communication technology is one of the greatest problems all the countries in the world face. Therefore, Personal information protection Act is one of basic laws to protect personal information and rights and it is also an essential law in the age of information. In that sense, new Personal information protection Act is the advanced act containing various items to minimize the national damages from the leaking of private information and protect right to informational self-determination in the information society. It is expected that this legislation contributes to reduce the leaking of private information, enhance the level of privacy protection and develop privacy related industries. However, active participation of all members of our society and improvement of their recognition should be preceded for the rational and legal use of private information and the settlement of its protection culture. While the purpose of Personal information protection Act can protect privacy from collection, leaking, misuse and abuse of private information and enhance national interests and protect personal dignity and value, it also must perform the roles of balancing privacy protection with liberal information flow.

There are two types of protection switching : a) automatic switching and b) forced switching. The switching mechanism is generally realised by OAM functions, therefore, the required OAM information field should be reserved in the PLOAM cells. This paper proposes an unidirectional and a bidirectional protection switching method and potential advantages. The unidirectional protection switching method can be faster than the bidirectional method because the unidirectional method does not require an APS protocol for protection switching. The bidirectional protection switching method uses APS K1 byte and K2 byte, which is included in octets of a PST message through downstream or upstream PLOAM cells, for protection switching. As making comparisons between the unidirectional and the bidirectional protection. switching method, this paper proposes an effective constructing method for ATM-PON network.
