Information and telecommunication technology are causing revolutionary changes in society and its institutions. It is especially more so in the field of science and technology (S＆T). Extraordinary advances in microelectronics have fueled this information revolution, and S＆T scholarly communication are changing rapidly and dramatically because of it as are the needs of science and technology information users. To seek pertinent scientific and technical information (STI) is a complex matter in this electronic digitalized age of information environment. Before we meet information needs of scientists and engineers effectively, we must know the Purpose for their seeking the information, the type of information they sought, and what we have been providing to satisfy their needs.(omitted)

This study attempts to explore urban married women's needs for consumer information contents. In addition, the causality of the needs for consummer information contents and related variables is investigated. Major findings are the following: (1) Respondents' need for information on“the product selection”and “the use and management”of the washing maching or hair dryer is high, while the in need for the information on“the existing brands”is very low. (2) Among several relevent characteristics, respondents' product involvement is strongly related to the needs for consumer information contents. (3) The results of the analysis of casual model from washing maching showed that respondents' age, purchasing experience, perception of the price dispersion and quality difference, self confidence in the product evaluation affect on the need for consumer information contents directly. While respondents' income and education level show a indirect effect. (4) The results of the analysis of causal model from hair dryer showed that respondents' perception of the price dispersion, quality difference and product complexity affect on the need for consumer information contents directly. While respondents' age, purchasing experience, self-confidence in the product evaluation show a indirect effects.

Nurses play an important role in patient education, including providing patients with useful and appropriate information. The purpose of this study was to explore what particular types of information were important to women diagnosed with breast cancer. Sixty seven women with breast cancer an outpatient clinic in W Christian Hospital responded to the structured questionnaires developed by the investigator. Interviews and mail surveys were used in this study. The findings in this study showed that six kinds of information needs arose, ranked as the signs and symptoms of recurrence, the possibility of recurrence, the possibility of metastasis, treatment, diet and physical activities in daily living. Marital status, level of education, and level of monthly income were not related to level of informational need. Younger women rather than older women had a greater need to seek information(r=-.471, p<.01). There was a significantly negative relationship between duration of disease and the score on information needs(r=-.32, p<.05). The findings have implications that the opportunity to ask questions and have accurate information on the recurrence should be provided to women with breast cancer.

Agricultural information was discussed for suggesting tasks and solutions of knowledge based information system. States of agricultural information systems in rural development administration were described and problems and tasks were summarized in knowledge needs survey of farmers who have to decide many alternatives for farming. Hard to access information are soil state, disease and insect pest. Important information in agriculture are water, soil fertility, soil physical property, and accessibility from main road. In conclusion, knowledge based agricultural information system can be developed based on surveyed needs.

청소년들의 스마트폰 어플리케이션 이용이 증가함에 따라 이를 정보요구 해결에 활용하는 가능성이 높아졌다. 그렇지만 기존의 정보행태 연구에서는 정보원으로서의 스마트폰 어플리케이션에 대한 논의는 거의 없는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 청소년의 정보요구 해결을 위한 스마트폰 어플리케이션 이용행태를 조사하였다. 중, 고등학교에 재학 중인 학생 114명의 설문을 이용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 학생들은 스마트폰 어플리케이션에 대한 인식 및 이용률이 높았으며, 다양한 정보요구를 정보, 오락, 커뮤니케이션 어플리케이션을 활용하여 해결하고 있었다. 특히 정보요구 영역에 따라 사용하는 어플리케이션 유형의 선호도가 다른 것으로 나타났다. 또한 청소년들은 어플리케이션을 선정하는데 있어 무료, 쉬움, 개인정보 정책, 타인의 평가, 품질, 비영리단체, 디자인, 미디어 추천 등을 고려하고 있었다. 본 연구결과의 이론적 가치는 정보원으로서의 스마트폰 어플리케이션의 역할을 확인한 것이며, 실무적으로는 청소년을 위한 정보, 미디어, 모바일 활용능력 교육 프로그램 개발 및 어플리케이션 개선과 개발에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

공공도서관 이용자들의 정보요구를 파악하기 위하여 웹사이트에 제시된 요구 내용을 분석하였다. 이용자마당이라고 표시한 메뉴에서 이용자들의 정보요구를 나타내는 사항은 모두 조사하였다. 이 정보요구에는 개별도서관에서 제공하는 정보서비스에 대한 불만사항이나 건의사항으로만 제한되고 있는 약점이 있다. 데이터의 분석은 자료수집, 정보서비스, 대출, 디지털자료실, 열람실, 참고질의, 기타 등으로 구분하여 실행되었다. 이 연구결과는 개별 공공도서관의 정보서비스 개선에 도움이 될 것이며, 새로운 정보서비스를 개설할 때에도 참고가 될 것이다.

본 연구의 목적은 경영계열 전공 대학생의 구직역량 인식 차이와 교육요구를 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해 2019년 12월 2일부터 12월 6일 간 충청소재의 A대학 경영계열에 재학 중인 215명을 대상으로 구직역량에 대한 중요도와 보유도 인식수준을 조사하였다. 수집한 자료를 활용하여 대응표본 t-test를 통해 인식차이를 분석하고, IPA 기법을 통해 구직역량의 교육요구도를 확인하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전체에는 '전공분야 관련 성적, 자격증 등 전문지식' 역량을 강화해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성별에 따라서는 '정보탐색'을 포함하여 남학생은 '직무관련 외국어 활용'을, 여학생은 '취업목표설정 및 대안마련'을 추가하여 집중 교육할 필요가 있었다. 셋째, 학년에 따라서는 '정보탐색'을 포함하여 1학년은 '직무관련 외국어 활용, 구직에 필요한 서류작성'을, 4학년은 '자기이해, 직무관련 외국어 활용'을 추가하여 우선 교육할 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 경영계열 대학생의 전체, 성별, 학년별 구직역량 교육요구의 차이를 밝힘으로써 집단의 특징을 고려한 취업지원 프로그램을 개발하는데 참고할 수 있을 것이다.

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a scale measuring sexuality information needs of patients with cancer. Methods: Nine items of sexuality information needs were based on the PLISSIT model and concepts of sexual rights. A factor analysis using principal axis factoring and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ were performed to test validity and reliability. Data were collected from 211 patients with cancer visiting a cancer center in Seoul, Korea. Results: Factor loadings of the 9 items of sub scales ranged from .43 to .96. Three factors in this study explained 74.4% of the total variance. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of the 9 items was .83. Conclusion: The scale of information needs about sexuality showed acceptable construct validity and reliability. This scale would be useful to assess the levels of information needs for sexuality for patients with cancer. The possibility of the scales' expansion to other group could be investigated in future studies.

정보학 등 다양한 분야에서 실시되어 왔던 '정보요구조사' 형태의 연구물들을 세밀히 분석해 보면. 기존 연구들은 수요자의 심층적인 '정보요구‘를 파악해 내기에는 그 이론적 틀이나 연구방법에 있어 기본적인 문제점을 지니고 있는 것으로 나타난다. 이에, 이 연구에서는 수요자의 정보요구를 파악하기 위해 그 동안 의존해 왔던 전통적 패러다임에서 벗어나, 수요자의 창된 그러나 내재되어 있는 '정보요구‘를 파악하는데 유용하게 쓰일 수 있는 정보요구조사의 모형을 실험적으로 제시하였다. 구체적으로, 모형의 이론적 근거. 개념적 모형, 실행적 모형 둥을 제시하였으며. 새로운 모형에 따른 정보요구조사의 시행 방법을 실제 사례를 들어가며 설명하였다.

This study attempts to develop a methodology that analyzes patent applications to identify future skills, in particular in the sector of information security, recently into the spotlight. Matching skill elements from the International Patent Classification (IPC) with skill units from job analysis, the study tries to track trends in the skills needs based on IPC time-pattern. It then verifies the validity of the outlook for future skills needs by addressing the situation through the use of patents. The research assesses the usability of patent information for this type of analysis. While this study is limited to the information security sector by using Korean patent information, it can be expanded in the future to other areas and patents in the United States and Europe.
