  • In line with the modern era in which the safety of underground facilities and the use of underground information are increasingly emphasized, the state is pushing for more precise and accurate underground spatial information to be secured and utilized. Therefore, we need to pay more attention to subsurface geospatial data. In the future, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will actively utilize the 15 types of Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map(6 types of underground facilities, 6 types of underground structures, 3 types of ground) that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is building as three-dimensional underground spatial information, and contribute greatly to improving national safety and convenience in underground construction. expected to do However, when a site manager requests an Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map with a mobile device, if the large-capacity integrated underground space map is not quickly transmitted over the wireless section and is not serviced, it causes inconvenience to the site manager and delays work. In this paper, the goal of this paper is to enable field managers to quickly receive a tiled Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map with minimal information exchange. Therefore, the tiling system is configured according to the dataset for high-speed Mobile Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map transmission. In addition, a transmission system for the Mobile Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map is established, and a TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol)-based spatial information tiling transmission protocol dedicated to the on-site Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map is developed.

  • National atlas map for provide various information is one part of National territorial Statatics Survey but National atlas map in 2004 year don't have stability and ability. National territorial Statatics Survey in 2005 years have octuple data compare with data in 2004 years but have only one map. One map is going to provide with stability and ability. We don't use DBMS, But We make a similarly struct in file based program. We programmed system of dynamic-linked data with spatial data. To dynamic-linked system, we make search engine to based index struct and make combobox search system. spatial data only have index codes(year, national terrial indicator, area). If spatial data request specfied data, search engine search index code and provide DB data. New system is middle step of using DBMS. We redraw map for display real Korea area (with dokdo). New map is shape and similar Korea map.

  • Recently the commercial value of GIS(geographic information system) has been increased with growing application demands of spatial information in life space. Also, GIS has been expanded to the integrated information system that provides the ease access to map information by public users and also the combined service of GIS map data and various multimedia contents. But several security problems of GIS map data have brought up at GIS industries, such as the illegal copy and distribution of GIS map data. Furthermore, the copyright protection of GIS map data has not been researched yet compared with image and video contents. This paper presents a polyline based watermarking scheme for the copyright protection of GIS vector map. The proposed scheme analyzes the structure of vector map and embeds adaptively the watermark by using the distance distribution of polyline components. From experimental results, we verified that the proposed scheme satisfies the invisibility and the robustness of geometrical attacks.

  • Geological and related thematic maps make various economical and social benefits at many sectors. Recently, development of information managing technology such as GIS, Geographic Information System, enlarges the usage of geological map and information. In this research, using the Analytic Hierarchy Process, we analyzed the weight of attributes which compose value of geological map and information. Results of research are as follows. By the analysis of the weight of attributes, we found that the weight of confidence, upper hierarchy attribute, was above 50%. The weight of convenience and additional effect was about $16%{\sim}30%$ in the geological map, geophysical map, geochemical map and hydrogeologic map. And the consumption of each maps will increase, especially in large scale map.

  • The aerial photographic mission is a difficult work because aircraft must be flown along the specified flight lines, not marked on the ground. This study has been carried out for the development of aerial photographic guidance system, which enables us to make aerial photographic task easier. Such a flight guidance system is able to display a variety of map informations in a quick and efficient way in order to guide pilot. For this purpose, we first developed the nationwide aerial navigation map database that provides the topographic map information used for topographic interpretation and aeronautical chart information used for the flight security. Next, we developed the aerial photographic guidance system which uses the aerial navigation map as base map. It is concluded that the developed system can display the various map informations quickly and do any other photographing guidance tasks well in fast moving airplane.

Boundary-preserving Stereo Matching based on Confidence Region Detection and Disparity Map Refinement (신뢰 영역 검출 및 시차 지도 재생성 기반 경계 보존 스테레오 매칭)

  • In this paper, we propose boundary-preserving stereo matching method based on adaptive disparity adjustment using confidence region detection. To find the initial disparity map, we compute data cost using the color space (CIE Lab) combined with the gradient space and apply double cost aggregation. We perform left/right consistency checking to sort out the mismatched region. This consistency check typically fails for occluded and mismatched pixels. We mark a pixel in the left disparity map as "inconsistent", if the disparity value of its counterpart pixel differs by a value larger than one pixel. In order to distinguish errors caused by the disparity discontinuity, we first detect the confidence map using the Mean-shift segmentation in the initial disparity map. Using this confidence map, we then adjust the disparity map to reduce the errors in initial disparity map. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method produces higher quality disparity maps by successfully preserving disparity discontinuities compared to existing methods.

  • The :Ministry of Transportation and Construction has a plan to finish up the construction of digital topographic map which is based. on airphoto intepretation method by the end of 1998 as a part of NQS (National Geogaphic Information System) Project. The digital topographic map, especially 1:1,000 scale, is used as a basemap of many local government's GIS projects. The digital topographic map, however, does not include property information such as cadastral and urbanplan data that are essential for the GIS database of many local governments. This study aims to develop a set of technical guidelines for the construction of digital cadastral map, which can be used together with the 1:1,000 scale digital topographic map, through 1) analysis of the inconsistency between topographic map and cadastral map, 2) comparison of technical methods for the integration of GIS data that have different accuracy, and 3) requirement analysis of the departments related to urban planning of Seoul Metropolitan Govemment. For this research, edited digital cadastral map has been experimentally produced in pilot study area, a part of Hwanghak-dong, Shindang-dong, and Soongin-dong in Seoul.

  • Hyundai Electronics Industries Corp has developed a navigation system which automatically computes the current position and displays it on the map using GPS(Global Positioning System). This system has such features as follow : searching of destination by means of digital mapping, locating of the present position on the map and detecting of guidance timing through signals from the artificial satellites and vehicle's sensors, and having a few of functions as TV & VTR monitoring, tracing the route, displaying service information which include hotels, restaurants, entertainments, et al. This paper describes the operations and construction of this navigation system.
