An Anomalous Behavior Detection Method Using System Call Sequences for Distributed Applications

  • Distributed applications are composed of multiple nodes, which exchange information with individual nodes through message passing. Compared with traditional applications, distributed applications have more complex behavior patterns because a large number of interactions and concurrent behaviors exist among their distributed nodes. Thus, it is difficult to detect anomalous behaviors and determine the location and scope of abnormal nodes, and some attacks and misuse cannot be detected. To address this problem, we introduce a method for detecting anomalous behaviors based on process algebra. We specify the architecture of the behavior detection model and the detection algorithm. The anomalous behavior detection and analysis demonstrate that our method is a good discriminator between normal and anomalous behavior characteristics of distributed applications. Performance evaluation shows that the proposed method enhances efficiency without security degradation.

  • The purpose of the study were to examine the causal relationships of apparel store patronage behavior on types of stores and information sources and to investigate which variables significantly apparel store patronage behavior. Data were randomly obtained from 433 housewives living in Pusan. A self-administered limiting apparel usage situations to the couples party was developed based on previous researches. They were analyzed by Fator analysis and Path analysis. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The apparel store patronage behavior of housewives was followed the process of life styleslongrightarrowinformation sourceslongrightarrowshopping orientationslongrightarrowstore imageslongrightarrowpatronage behavior, and in apparel store patronage behavior according to the types of information sources mass media information, interpersonal information, and store information. 3. There were differences in causal relationships of patronage behavior on apparel store types.

조직내 최종사용자의 합목적적인 정보보호 시스템 사용 내재화와 학습, 피드백 추구 행동 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Learning Activities and Feedback Seeking Behavior toward the End Users' Faithful Appropriation of Information Security System)

  • Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine factors and mechanism inducing end users' faithful appropriation of information security behavior through the information security system. This study is also trying to find out the role of Employees' adaptive activities like learning and feedback seeking behavior for the information security in organizations. Design/methodology/approach An empirical study was carried out with a sample of employees working in the financial service company. Employees(n = 268) completed a written questionnaire. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. Findings Results indicated that employees' learning activities and feedback seeking behavior fully mediated the effect of major information security factors toward end users' faithfulness of appropriation of information security systems. In order to increase the level of employees information security behavior in accordance with security guideline, organizations should facilitate interactions that support the feedback seeking process between employees on information security awareness and behavior. Additionally, organizations may reinforce these behaviors by periodical training and adopting bounty hunter systems.

A Study on Visual Behavior for Presenting Consumer-Oriented Information on an Online Fashion Store

  • Growth in online channels has created fierce competition; consequently, retailers have to invest an increasing amount of effort into attracting consumers. In this study, eye-tracking technology examined consumers' visual behavior to gain an understanding of information searching behavior in exploring product information for fashion products. Product attribute information was classified into two image-based elements (model image information and detail image information) and two text-based elements (basic text information, detail text information), after which consumers' visual behavior for each information element was analyzed. Furthermore, whether involvement affects consumers' information search behavior was investigated. The results demonstrated that model image information attracted visual attention the quickest, while detail text information and model image information received the most visual attention. Additionally, high-involvement consumers tended to pay more attention to detailed information while low-involvement consumers tended to pay more attention to image-based and basic information. This study is expected to help broaden the understanding of consumer behavior and provide implications for establishing strategies on how to efficiently organize product information for online fashion stores.

사이클웨어에 대한 전자 구전 정보 탐색 행동 (eWOM Information Search Behavior of Cycle Wear)

  • The purpose of this research is to scrutinize the cyclist's consumer behavior by analyzing the eWOM information search behavior of cycle-wear according to benefits sought and involvement. The research was conducted through an online survey and the respondents were 291 men who wore cycle-wear and searched information via online. The results of this research are as following. First, the benefits sought from wearing cycle apparel are composed of five sub-factors such as, ideal body figure, brand ostentation, comfort ease, personality, and economic feasibility. In addition, the cycle-wear involvement consisted of two sub-factors: cycling involvement and fashion involvement. Second, the eWOM information search behavior of cyclists was different depending on the benefits sought by the cyclists. When the cyclists pursued ideal body figure they searched more information of design and color, while cyclists put more weight on the information of design, color, and brand when they sought brand ostentation. Moreover, the valence and the type of the information were dissimilar depending on the benefits sought. Third, the sub-factors of eWOM information search behavior affected the eWOM effect distinctively. The price information was the only factor that influenced the eWOM effect among the contents of the information. The valence of the information influenced the eWOM effect, and the effect of positive information was stronger than negative information. Additionally, the subjective information also affected the eWOM effect. Lastly, the effect of the benefits sought influencing the eWOM information search behavior varied by the difference of the cycle-wear involvement. For example, when they are both high in the involvement there were various benefits sought affecting the eWOM information search behavior. However, when only the cycling involvement was high, and they pursued personality, the price information was not important to them.

간호 대학생의 건강정보추구행동이 건강증진행위실천에 미치는 영향 (Influence on Health Promotion Behavior among Nursing students according to Health Information Seeking Behavior)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze factors affecting health promotion behavior among nursing students according to health information seeking behavior. Methods: The study design was a descriptive survey and questionnaires were collected from 240 nursing students who have studied in nursing colleges located in "J" province. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, $Scheff{\grave{e}}$ test, Pearson Correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: In Model I, general characteristics influenced of 17.6% of health promotion behavior factors. Health status, selection criteria and frequency of information search were statistically useful as influencing of health promotion behavior factors. In addition, in model II health information seeking behavior influenced of 18.1% of health promotion behavior factors. Conclusion: The results indicate that the health information seeking behaviors proved the influence on health promotion behavior of nursing students.

대학도서관 이용자의 정보이용형태에 관한 연구 (A Study on Information Seeking Behavior of University Libraries Users)

  • 대학도서관이 효율적인 정보서비스를 개발하고, 제공하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 정보서비스 이용 대상자들에 대한 정보이용형태 분석이 선행되어야 한다는 점에 착안하여 전국 주요 5개 국립종합대학교 및 5개 교육대학교에 재직하는 교수, 학생들을 대상으로 정보이용형태에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 대학도서관의 주 이용자인 교수 및 학생집단이 도서관이 제공하고 있는 각종 정보서비스 이용형태에 대하여 어떠한 차이를 보이고 있는지를 알아보고 향후 대학도서관이 효율적인 정보서비스를 개발하고 제공하는데 있어서 개선방안을 제안하였다.

정보추구행태 모형의 연구 경향 (Review of Research Trend in Models of Information Seeking Behavior)

  • 본 연구는 정보추구행태 모형을 제시하고 있는 기존 논의들을 대상으로 이들의 연구경향들을 개관하고 분석함으로써 향후 정보추구행태 연구의 방향점을 논의하고자 하는 시도이다. 본 연구에서는 기존논의들 을 정보추구행태의 영향요인 모형, 과정모형 스타일/패턴모형의 3가지 연구유형으로 대별하였으며, 이들 모형들을 방법론/이론적 틀, 정보추구 맥락, 연구대상/주제분야, 모형 특색 등 9가지 측면에서 분석하였다. 기존 연구의 한계를 극복하기 위한 한국적 연구전략은 연구대상의 확대뿐 아니라, 정보추구가 가지는 복잡다양성과 다차원성을 포함하는 총체적인 연구접근이 필요하다. 더불어, 한국적 정보추구 현상을 설명하는 실제에 기반한 이론들을 개발할 필요가 있다.

  • 본 연구는 도서관 서비스이용자와의 인터뷰자료를 근거이론방법론을 기초로 분석하여 도서관 서비스이용자의 정보추구행태상의 특성을 파악하고자하였으며 이를 토대로 도서관 서비스이용자의 정보추구행태모델을 제시해 보고자 하였다. 연구결과 도출된 모델에 따르면 도서관 서비스이용자의 정보추구행태를 설명하는데 있어서 다음의 열 가지 요소가 중요한 것으로 나타났다: 정보이용자의 환경, 의미 있는 주변인, 정보제공, 정보원의 인지, 개인의 과거경험, 기억, 정보수집, 요구를 발생시키는 사건 혹은 환경의 발생, 정보이용, 만족 혹은 불만족의 경험.

정보행태에 있어 국민성의 의미 - 한국과 일본의 대학생에 대한 비교 분석 - (Nationality and Information Behavior: Comparing Korean and Japanese Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 정보행태에 있어 국민성이 갖는 의미에 주목하면서, 정보행태에 대한 집단적 요인과 개인적 요인의 비중을 상대적으로 가늠해 보는데 있다. 이를 위해, 국민성을 대변하는 요소로 국적과 성격(의존성)을 선정하였으며, 정보행태를 대변하는 10개의 지표를 개발하였다. 논의에 필요한 데이터는 설문조사를 통해 수집하였는데, 158명의 한국인 대학생과 183명의 일본인 대학생이 설문에 참여하였다. 수집한 데이터에 근거하여 변인들 사이의 관계를 검증하기 위한 빈도분석과 교차분석을 실시하였으며, 국적과 의존성의 상대적 비중을 가늠하기 위한 ANOVA 검증을 실시하였다. 통계적 분석의 결과, 상대적 비중에 있어 국적의 영향력이 의존성의 영향력보다 크며, 집단적 요인의 비중이 개인적 요인의 비중보다 큰 것으로 나타났다.
