Research libraries, facing the difficulties in building sufficient collections to meet the various users, have implemented various cooperative acquisition programs. In recent years, Internet and other information technology enables more effective and efficient cooperation among research libraries. This paper reviews the methods and cases of cooperative acquisitions among research libraries, including CRL, OhioLINK, RLG Conspectus, TRLN Discussing the backgrounds and related issues. several strategies were suggested for the continuous implementation for cooperative acquisition.

This study adopts organismic integration theory (OIT) to classify and contrast the predominant roles of five motivations (i.e., economic incentives, self-presentation, information acquisition, altruism, and enjoyment) in fostering three levels of behavioral engagement on brand-related social media content. This study further examines the moderating effect of personality (thinkers vs. feelers) on these relationships. The results of PLS-SEM reveal the greater impact of autonomous motivations on content consumption (enjoyment and information acquisition) and content contribution and creation (altruism and information acquisition), compared with controlled motivations (self-presentation and economic incentives). This study also finds that thinkers mostly engage on brand-related content for information acquisition and economic incentives, whereas feelers are mostly driven by enjoyment for content consumption and by altruism for content contribution and creation. This study addresses the inconsistency in prior research findings and provides practical implications to social media marketers.

In this paper, we consider a code acquisition of W-CDMA signals over multipath Rayleigh fading channel when double-dwell serial search code acquisition is used for initial synchronization. We derive the detection and false alarm probability, and mean acquisition time mathematically by taking into account of multiple H$\_$l/ cells and double-dwell serial search. It is noteworthy that the more the number of the post-detection integration, the shorter the mean acquisition time in low SNR.

Adaptive filter based code acquisition scheme offers a fast acquisition with a low error probability. However, it has been studied only under a coherent environment. In this paper, the noncoherent adaptive code acquisition scheme employing a differential detection technique is proposed. For the proposed scheme, system probabilities and the mean acquisition time are analyzed numerically. Simulation results show that the proposed system outperforms over the conventional matched filter by 2-4 ㏈ under AWGN channel for 16 taps.

Data acquisition system is needed in signal analysis and processing by using computer. This paper realizes the high speed data acquisition system by using 8bit, 20MHZ refresh A/D converter and 18 x 64 Byte high speed memory. The high speed data acquisition system provides converted data to IBM-PC XT micro computer.

This article investigates the software acquisition problems as two dimensional : custom/pacakage and insource /outsource. The analysis adopts the cost-benefit frame work in explaining software acquisition problems and takes two leveled approach. The first level examines the cost-benefit relationship of the determinants affecting both dimensions, and these determinants are derived from theories of transaction cost, incomplete contracting, and agency. The second level focuses on the impact of general cost-benefit frivers of the software acquisition decisions. The results facilitate a broader and more detailed understanding on the software acquisition problems.

We implemented a code searcher which is used for the PN(pseudo noise) code acquisition in CDMA cellular mobile station. To reduce the reuired hardware and the code acquisition time, we used the double dwell structure which is an effective serial code acquisition metho. We designed a code acquisition has acquired within 1/2 PN chip range. The code searcher is implemented using 0.8 micron code searcher is successfully working in CDMA cellular mobile station and it satisfies the code acquisition time specified in IS-95 standard.

In this paper, the acquisition performance of a receiver that utilizes a non-coherent digital correlator is analyzed. In order to analyze the acquisition performance, the probability density function of a receiver output random variable has been derived approximately. Using this function, the acquisition performance of the coarse acquisition code receiver in a global positioning system is analyzed.
