Case-Based Reasoning Support for ERP Pre-Planning

  • A project planning is one of the most important processes that determines success and failure of the project. A pre-project planning is also essential job for information system implementations at the early stage of project planning, especially for management information system like ERP. However, pre-project planning is very difficult, because lots of factors and their relationships should be considered. Pre-project planning of ERP implementation has been done by project manager's own knowledge and experiences. In this article, we propose a system that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP project with case-based reasoning(CBR) framework. The proposed CBR system saves previous cases of ERP pre-project planning in the case base. Then, the system finds the most similar case with the current pre-project planning problem. Project manager can make a pre-project plan by adjusting the most similar case. From the interview with project managers, we collect some field cases of ERP implementation. We organized these cases by using XML(Extensible Markup Language), which is good for representing hierarchical information. XML gives us some flexibilities to correct and maintain cases. We make a prototype system, PPSS(Project Planning Support System) that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP implementations. The object of the system is to support project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP. We hope the result of the study can be applied to other information systems. Our research would be extended to cover other stages of project planning.

  • The planning process for roadway construction involves a large amount of information on design, construction methods, quantities, unit costs, production rates, and site conditions. Therefore, it is very important to acquire, manage, and process the necessary information efficiently to produce a rigorous construction plan. GIS (Geographic Information System) is a very effective tool for integrating and managing various types of information including spatial and non-spatial data required for roadway construction planning. This paper proposes a GIS-based system for improving roadway construction planning with its 'Interactive Space Scheduling' and 'Operation Level Planning' functions. The proposed system can assist construction planners in a unique way by integrating design and construction information and creating modularized design elements for space scheduling in real time. It is expected that the proposed system could improve the efficiency of roadway construction planning.

  • 도시의 무분별한 개발과 성장으로부터 도시공간의 보전과 이용의 조화를 도모하기 위해서는 합리적이고 투명한 도시계획이 수립되어야 한다. 이러한 사회적 요구를 수용하며 조화로운 공간질서를 확립하기 위해 도시공간내 토지이용에 관한 계획수립체계가 변화되고 보다 강화되었다. 그거나, 강화된 도시계획수립체계가 순기능적으로 작용하기 위해서는 도시공간에 환한 다양한 정보를 신속하게 수집, 정리, 분석하여 도시의 현황과 문제점을 정확하게 판단할 수 있어야 한다. 도시계획 분야에서의 이리한 요구와 수요는 다양한 정보를 신속 정확, 편리하게 수집하여 수집된 정보를 체계적으로 분석, 관리하고 이를 공간상의 분포현황 등 시각적으로 표현할 수 있는 G[S관련 정보기술의 발달로 가능하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 도시계획법을 근거로 하여 도시계획분야에서의 정보화 요구와 수요를 충족하기 위한 도시계획정보체계의 기본구상을 제시하고, 최근 GIS관련 정보기술동향을 활용한 도시 계획정보체계의 개발모델을 제안하였다.

  • 도시계획정보시스템은 전 국가적 네트워크상에서 운용되어야 하는 도시계획분야의 핵심 시스템으로서 구축 초기에서부터 표준화에 대한 면밀한 검토가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도시계획정보시스템 구축과 관련된 국제표준, 국내법률, 상위계획 및 현재 구축된 2008년 표준시스템에 대한 분석을 통해 문제점을 파악하고, 향후 성공적인 도시계획정보시스템 구축을 방향을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 제시한 도시계획정보시스템 구축의 방향은 첫째, 도시계획정보시스템 구축을 위한 표준을 선제적으로 작성하고 사후에 국제표준을 제정함을 추진하고, 둘째, 개방형 구조로 제작해야 하며, 셋째, 상위계획인 국가공간정보체계의 구축방향을 준수하여 연계통합이 가능한 방향으로 진행되어야 한다는 것으로 정리할 수 있다.

Urban Land Use Planning with a PSS-based Land Use Change Projection Model

  • Planning Support System (PSS), an alternative framework of computer-aided planning system combining geographic information system (GIS), urban models, and visualization tools, has been actively researched and applied in many developed countries. This paper introduces a PSS-based land use change model, What if\ulcorner PSS, by applying it to Chongju City, Korea. This model application study used the spatial database, Restricted Development Zone (RDZ), and other hypothetical land supply- and demand-related policies of Chongju City. The collaborative PSS model supported land use planning process by helping users to speedily and easily create and test policy-oriented scenarios. The study found that the fully operational PSS model was readily applicable and useful to Korean local land use planning. The paper discusses the conceptual model framework, data requirement, application process, model output, and practical usage. This study would be considered as a prototypical approach of PSS-based land use plan making for Korean cities.

  • This study suggested 'Environmental Friendly City Model' and 'Energy Planning Process' according to the increasing necessity of 'Energy Saving Green City and 3 technologies like (1)Urban Spatial Modeling, (2)Urban Energy Consumption, (3)Urban Energy Supply Planning technologies were suggested which are able to support sustainable urban energy planning'. The results are as follows. (1)E-GIS modeling system was suggested as a 'Planning Supporting System'. (2)Urban Energy Consumption Algorithm was systemized with planning information of E-GIS DB. (3)Urban Energy System Location was deduced by integrating E-GIS DB and ANN algorithm.

실크산업의 패션기획 정보 접목을 위한 기초 조사 (Primary Research for Integrating Silk Industry with the Fashion Planning Information)

  • Silk Industry doesn't have enough strategic ability to plan the product for internal and external strong competition and global luxury trend in Jinju. To provide silk fashion planning information and planning method, this study investigated the fabric planning system, such as product system and problems, the method of seeking information, via questionnaires for 68 Jinju silk companies. The results were that the Korean traditional garment, Han-bok and lining of that were given more wight in Jinju Silk for domestic, and the next, neckties. These silk had produced by OEM and didn't have almost my planning ability, but nowadays buyers wanted to get some planning ideas from manufactures, not giving any planning guideline before production, more and more. For Jinju Silk Fabric Companies, planning direction of silk fabrics of vision were needed, that had to be adaptable to manufacture situation and applicable to market.

  • 정보화의 발전에 따라 그 활용가능성과 효과가 가장 높을 것이라고 기대되었던 하나가 계획분야이다. 계획은 자료의 수집과 분석 그리고 예측과정이 필요하기 때문에, 정보화가 도입되기 이전부터, 계획의 논리성이나 객관성을 높이기 위한 노력이 일찍부터 다양하게 시도되어 왔다. 본 원고는, 국토이용정보체계의 발전방향을 제안하기 위한 가장 기초적인 연구로 시작되었다. 이를 위해 첫째, 국토이용정보체계와 관련된 법제도를 검토하여 현황과 문제점을 찾았다. 둘째, 국토이용정보체계 및 공간계획 관련 시스템의 현황과 문제점 진단하였다. 이를 통해 바람직한 정보화의 발전방안을 제안하도록 한다. 끝으로 도출된 법제도의 목적과 정보시스템의 기능을 최대한으로 발휘하기 위한 법제도의 정비와 정보시스템의 개선필요성을 제시하고 있다.

농촌어메니티 자원조사감리방법론 개발과 전략계획 (Developing the Auditing Methodology and Strategic Planning of Rural Amenity Resources Investigation)

  • The purposes of this paper are first, to develop and adapt auditing methodology of rural amenity resource investigation and second, to propose strategic planning of amenity web data base system. Relating with auditing methodology, we make the life cycle of rural amenity resource investigation based on value chain method. we make 8 stage of auditing process and 105 auditing items in details. We adapt these guidelines in real world and then improve developed methodology. Therefore we expect to promote the quality and accuracy of investigation project using these guidelines. Relating with blue print of strategic planning, we first analyse external environment about Competitors, Suppliers, New entrants, Buyers, Substitutes with 5 force model for amenity information system. We second make the blue print of strategic planning of amenity web data base system project. Then we propose the FIRST, BEST, MOST strategy of amenity web data base system and the web hub system.
