An Exploratory Research on the Adoption of Service Science in the MICE Industry (MICE산업에서의 서비스사이언스 적용에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • Service science has emerged as the key factor in developed economies as it becomes the main driver of productivity and economic growth. MICE industry has also opened up new revenues through improved services and new services which is a more attractive strategy for success. The importance of adoption of service science has recently emerged in MICE industry. However it has not been provided a detail action plan it is needed positive interesting and common endeavor of academy, industry, and government sector. In this context, we analyzed the major issues in adoption of service science in the MICE industry and developed the paradigm model by ground theory approach and proposed a roles of MICE service provider, mediator and consumer for service science adoption which have not been treated as a research topic in the domestic MICE areas sofar.

  • The primary purposes of this study are to introduce knowledge management as a new paradigm and understand the knowledge management system that assists a company and its organization on the whole in adopting knowledge management. In order to do that, the studies associated with knowledge management are analyzed. Then, the concept of knowledge and knowledge management are examined. In addition. knowledge management process. tools, resources and services are explored as key components in designing a system. This study can be utilized as a basic material when knowledge management programs are designed.

  • The most recent paradigm shift is ubiquitous technology, or ubicomp for short. The ubicomp vision pushes computational services out of conventional desktop interfaces and into the environment in increasingly transparent forms. Research in ubiquitous computing raises many challenging issues for computer science in general, but successful research in ubiquitous computing requires the deployment of applications that can survive everyday use, and this in itself presents a great software engineering challenge. We will clarify these problems and discuss our approaches towards their solution. In this paper, we discuss the information technologyproblems that arise in conducting research toward this vision of future computer-enhanced environments.

  • Cloud collection, which is derived from cloud computing, is a framework that creates new value through library cooperative platform to preserve and manage libraries' duplicated collection. Due to E-book market vitalization and mass digitalization of retrospective print material, new library collection management paradigm has been expected that licensed based E-book service and management of shared print repository. This study discuss cloud collection concept which digital repository and Shared print repository are in complementary relations. And suggest cloud collection model can be applicable to Korean university libraries.

  • The k-means algorithm is well known for its efficiency in clustering large data sets. However, working only on numeric values prohibits it from being used to cluster real world data containing categorical values. The k-modes algorithm is to extend the k-means paradigm to categorical domains. The algorithm requires a pre-setting or random selection of initial points (modes) of the clusters. This paper improved the problem of k-modes algorithm, using the Max-Min method that is a kind of methods to decide initial values in k-means algorithm. we introduce new similarity measures to deal with using the categorical data for clustering. We show that the mushroom data sets and soybean data sets tested with the proposed algorithm has shown a good performance for the two aspects(accuracy, run time).

  • 최근에 정부는 IT839 전략을 발표하여 IT 산업의 새로운 서비스 도입과 신규 수요 창출에 역량을 집중하고 있으며, 신규 서비스로서 RFID/USN 도입을 강력히 추진하고 있다. 또한 민간분야에서도 유비쿼터스 환경에서 센서 네트워크를 이용한 여러 가지 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는데, 이러한 센서 네트워크가 경제적으로 성공하기 위해서는 유지보수 비용절감이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 센서 네트워크의 유지보수 비용을 최소화하기 위한 방법으로 온디맨드 패러다임에 의한 에너지 절감 방안을 제시한다. 구체적으로 센서 네트워크의 각 구성요소에 온디맨드 패러다임을 어떻게 적용하여 에너지 절감의 최적화를 이룰수 있는지와 센서 네트워크와 상위 정보네트워크간의 관계를 설명한다.

Tree size determination for classification ensemble

  • Classification is a predictive modeling for a categorical target variable. Various classification ensemble methods, which predict with better accuracy by combining multiple classifiers, became a powerful machine learning and data mining paradigm. Well-known methodologies of classification ensemble are boosting, bagging and random forest. In this article, we assume that decision trees are used as classifiers in the ensemble. Further, we hypothesized that tree size affects classification accuracy. To study how the tree size in uences accuracy, we performed experiments using twenty-eight data sets. Then we compare the performances of ensemble algorithms; bagging, double-bagging, boosting and random forest, with different tree sizes in the experiment.

  • 기존 프로세스 모델링 언어들은 엄격한 의미론과 사용의 용이성이라는 프로세스 언어가 갖추어야 할 중요한 두 가지 측면을 동시에 만족시키지 못함으로써 그 동안의 다양한 연구에도 불구하고 실제 소프트웨어 산업계에서 널리 사용되지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 제거한 프로세스 모델링 언어 RAiSE 를 정의하고 이를 예제 소프트웨어 프로세스에 적용한 예를 설명한다. RAiSE 는 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 그래픽 표기법을 기반으로 하여 다양한 모델링 패러다임들의 필수적인 요소들을 결합시킴으로써 이해하기 쉬우면서도 엄격하고 풍부한 의미론을 제공한다.
