As recently the information industry has been emphasized as a national basic industry, it Is the key for the growth and success of information industry to maintain information resources of high quality. In this context, exploiting public sector-held information could be not only the basic work for keeping information resources but also the motive of development in future information industry. To cope with these trends, this study suggested policies for exploiting public information in private sector. This is the process that offering public information resources to the private business sector, making value addition and commercialization of public information, and servicing to end-users. This enables promotion of the information industry and realization of the universal service through share of roles between public and private sector.

Because Grid system consists of heterogenous computing resources, which are distributed on a wide scale, it is impossible to efficiently execute applications with scheduling algorithms of a conventional parallel system that, in contrast, aim at homogeneous and controllable resources. To suggest an algorithm that can fully reflect the characteristics of a grid system, our research is focused on examining the type of information used in current scheduling algorithms and consequently, deriving factors that could develop algorithms further. The results from the analysis of these algorithms not only show that static information of resources such as capacity or the number of processors can facilitate the scheduling algorithms but also verified a decrease in efficiency in case of utilizing real time load information of resources due to the intrinsic characteristics of a grid system relatively long computing time, and the need for the means to evade unfeasible resources or ones with slow processing time. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm, which is revised to reflect static information in the logic of WQR(Workqueue Replication) algorithms and show that it provides better performance than the one used in the existing method through simulation.

The purpose of this study is to identify the current trends and characteristics of Korean internet searchable Web-based biographical resources by analyzing and evaluating in practices. Four among Korean Web-based biographical resources which have the comprehensive scope are chosen and evaluated by the 9 criteria and their detailed features. This study will allow users and reference librarians to more easily choose pertinent biographical references from the many internet resources. It will be also helpful by allowing publishers to produce more effective biographical information in quality.

In this paper, we introduce the application of several currently-representative methods for mineral resources potential assessment on Geographic information system(hereinafter referred to as GIS), and combined with mineral resources potential assessment performed in China and with lead-zinc deposits taken as an example, summarized and divided minerals prediction and assessment models; on this basis, this paper presented the process of metallogenic prognosis based on MRAS platform, and made a simple analysis on existing problems.
