Many studies have regarded an information infrastructure as one of the crucial factors for national or regional innovation in the information society, but few studies have empirically tested the role and the effects of it. Also, the information society have been studied to what extent, but information space structure and the reorganization for the resource of the material and the labour have not been considered. Therefore, this study is examining the relation between the linkage structure and the information change in the manufacturing sector. And for the empirical analyses, regional labour data for 16 Metropolitan Areas(Si) and Provinces(Do) in 1991-1996 are used. An analytical model and hypotheses are proposed for empirical testing. The main finding is that if inter-regional wages condition is identical, inter-regional labour flow has positive correlations with regional information level.

Strategic link, to develop the business strategy and to build the infrastructure of the organization, is an important challenge to management activities of the company, it is a major study of management academia. Effective strategy and information systems influence the success of the organization. Strategic alignment model for analyzing linkage was introduced in this study. Strategic alignment model, is composed of business strategy, organization infrastructure, information technology strategy, and information technology infrastructure. We have studied that this models appear in some form in the field of actual companies. Our research subject is a agricultural venture in Chungnam province.

As the digital information infrastructure is established for the public library system in the contemporary age, expectations and demands surrounding the public library system are growing rapidly as the place of exchange and enjoyment of information and culture, and as the place of life-long learning. In addition, a new kind of information & culture services are needed to meet the demands of contemporary men and women, who are exploring information as the information environment undergoes rapid changes - from increase in the volume of digital publications, to increase in the usefulness of online information resources, to strides made in the media industry. The public library will continue to play its role and function by providing to all users all available information, whether it's available online or offline, whether it's in a physical format or in a digital format. As such, design and management of a space appropriate as a new information environment are needed. It is deemed that an information infrastructure for Daegu that can improve the quality of life in the region and can increase user accessibility to information in this information age is needed, as well as reorganization of the pertinent environment. Therefore more public libraries have to be built in Daegu as a necessity, and it is urgently needed that the information services be expanded through an organic linkage between local libraries such as between the central library and the branch libraries. This paper aims to provide basic data for building of public libraries in Daegu. To establish an information infrastructure for Daegu, a direction is given for the establishment of a local network of public libraries and ways for improvement are explored. This paper is significant in that, first, it helps in the planning of a local network of public libraries, which plays a crucial role in improving accessibility to information as well as the level of their use; and second, it helps in setting up guidelines for spatial configuration of the user space. As for the method, quantitative review of the information environment is to be done by analyzing the present situation of the public library network in Daegu from the perspectives of region, facility, and space, in order to present a method of user-centered spatial configuration that meets the changes in social roles and forms of information in the contemporary society.

This study is to reconstruct the user-oriented e-government service based on home network infrastructure using ubiquitous computing technology. Until now, 31 e-government roadmap tasks have been promoted as main projects of e-government. This study explores what should be respective priorities for the suppliers and users of e-government if the services are provided in linkage with home network infrastructure. The result of survey showed us that the efficiency of administration and the improvement of the civil service, including citizens' online participation should be priorities. In order to reinforce home network infrastructure in implementing u-government, the government, at first, has to relax regulation, support businesses to develop related technologies, and construct safe infrastructure for citizens to use e-government services. Second, businesses should develop home network technologies that include various contents and construct home network systems that citizens can use easily. Third, citizens should have interests and participate in the government policies for home network services. Particularly, this study aims to suggest policies that consider positions of both the suppliers and users of e-government so that home network-based e-government can be implemented in the future.

As ISNI spreads, the process and utilization method of authority control that identifies and links individual or group names is also expanding. In this study, the characteristics of the connection and utilization of ISNI and national authorities in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany were derived, and a plan to improve the connection and utilization of national authorities and ISNI was presented, focusing on the National Library of Korea. Focusing on major countries actively participating in the establishment and utilization of ISNI since its founding, national authorities and ISNI linkage methods and ISNI data used in services were analyzed. The implications of this study for the linkage and convergence of national authority and ISNI data were: first, applying ISNI to support authority work, second, establishing a close cooperation system with the publishing community, and third, establishing infrastructure for linking ISNI and authority records at the national level, and finally, providing user service pages based on authority data.

Recently, with the US protection trade trend, South Korea 's exports to the US have shrunk and the need to pioneer emerging markets in Eurasia has increased. Due to the bankruptcy of Hanjin Shipping, a large Korean national shipping company, the necessity of securing transportation that can replace the Asian - European shipping route has emerged. Moreover, as the international trade and logistics environment is rapidly changing due to the spread of electronic commerce, it is time to prepare for the environment where IT technology is applied to international logistics activities. Therefore, this study was carried out to establish information strategy of Eurasia logistics information sharing platform from Korean perspective through comparison of logistics information level of Eurasian countries. This study aims at standardization direction for supporting logistics activities between Eurasian countries, providing customs clearance and logistics services without interruption, providing information for expanding business of trade companies, and building information linkage infrastructure for expanding cooperation between logistics companies across countries. Through this study, it is expected that logistics activities through information sharing among countries will be actively carried out.

The purpose of this study is to define a method of building an integrated service to provide various science and technology knowledge infrastructures that are helpful in R&D activities, and to show the cases that are adapted the methodologies. Knowledge infrastructures scattered throughout the entire R&D cycle, such as generating/development of ideas, finding the R&D project, performing the project, and spreading results, are segmented in terms of services, functions, information, and data, and links and converges to provide the knowledge infrastructure that desired by users in one place. We define the integrated service classification, integration level model, integrated architecture, and integrated user authentication system in consideration of logical linkage and integration rather than physical integration of individual knowledge infrastructures. Also, we considered the extensibility as the reference model for building of similar integrated service.

Ubiquitous city which was appeared since 2006 is defined as "The city provided the ubiquitous city service anytime and anywhere using ubiquitous urban infrastructure to improve the city's competitiveness and quality of life" under ubiquitous city construction law. To realize the ubiquitous city, the city has to be constructed efficiently based on the spatial information. And connection of information achieve effective synergy. In this study, applied multilateral analysis to spatial information and administrative information to implement u-service focused on MACCA(Multifunctional Administrative City Construction Agency). Study about main function and product data with connection process of Korean Land Spatialization System and administrative information System was performed. Also, details of u-service and method of acquiring necessary data were derived. In Addition, the information connection possibility for efficient u-service realization was suggested by linkage analysis method to utilize the related information infrastructure jointly.

Korea has actively promoted the Comprehensive Plan for the e-Hub. The policies of Korean government could promote the e-business environment and market conditions in legal and infrastructure terms, but not much of business itself. The reason for this limited success in the e-Trade may result from the broken linkage between government policies and business strategies as well as the business and technical innovation. In this paper, we analyzes the more effective and economic solution for this recovery of broken link in terms of Metamediary. The most successful role of metamediary should compose of three functions - facilitator, collaborator and web service provider. Each of these function is clarified in more detail with the emphasis on the collaboration between the Universities and the government-supported corporations.

With the emergence of a new paradigm called Open Science and Big Data, the need for data sharing and collaboration is also emerging in the computational science field. This paper, we analyzed data-driven research cases for computational science by field; material design, bioinformatics, high energy physics. We also studied the characteristics of the computational science data and the data management issues. To manage computational science data effectively it is required to have data quality management, increased data reliability, flexibility to support a variety of data types, and tools for analysis and linkage to the computing infrastructure. In addition, we analyzed trends of platform technology for efficient sharing and management of computational science data. The main contribution of this paper is to review the various computational science data repositories and related platform technologies to analyze the characteristics of computational science data and the problems of data management, and to present design considerations for building a future computational science data platform.
