정보기술 도입 결정기준 및 영향 요인 - 혁신특성과 핵심집단 관점 - (Decision Criteria and Affecting Factors in Information Technology Adoption - Innovation Characteristics and Critical Mass Perspective -)

  • The increased investment in technological innovations makes the investigation of factors affecting technology adoption more interesting. Several perspectives have been proposed to explain the determinants of information technology adoption. While the traditional innovation diffusion research streams try to explain and predict adoption behavior with the adopter's perceptions about the characteristics of the innovation itself, critical mass theorists argue that adoption behavior as a collective action is based on what their business partners are doing and whether there exists enough critical mass to justify the investment. Drawing on theses two perspectives, this study investigates the decision criteria in the adoption of information technology as innovation and factors affecting the decision criteria. The survey results reveal that the adoption behavior is affected both by innovation characteristics and by critical mass's activity. Correlation analysis, t-test, and stepwise regression models also show that as the environmental uncertainty is getting higher, adoption decision is affected more by what others are doing, and that highly competitive organizations seem to play the role of critical mass.

  • The article deals with problems of innovation development on a network basis, which require effective mechanisms of innovation communications. In research the organizational aspects of ICT infrastructure development for innovation networks sustainable development based on cooperative marketing principles is considered. The proposed research idea is based on the idea that ICT implementation is based not only on the operational approach for innovation management as a factor of efficiency of internal communications, but also on knowledge economy and post-industrial economy trends. Therefore, the purpose of study is to develop an ICT model of innovation infrastructure to improve its effectiveness (strategic character) and efficiency (operative character) through increasing the efficiency of network communication interactions. Creation of information space and communication tools to support innovation network sustainable development and cooperation activities in research is proposed to be solved with the help of specialized ICT platform. It is shown, that ICT platform of innovation cooperation innovation network is important tool for common work of participants. ICT platform is considered as an integrated information system designed to automate business processes related to the sustainable development of innovation network, segment management and integration with HEI information systems and industrial cooperation. The main factors that determine the need to use a special ICT platform for innovation network cooperation were considered. The main issues of concurrent engineering (C-technology) application in high-technology industries and innovation cooperation for integrated product development were studied.

지식집약서비스 공급업체의 혁신 특성과 전략 (Innovation Features and Strategy of Knowledge Intensive Service Suppliers in Korea)

  • This paper explores the features, patterns and strategies of innovation in knowledge intensive service (KIS) suppliers in Korea. It was found that characteristics of service innovation and manufacturing innovation tend to converge. Also, diverging elements were found particularly in organizational dimension in the innovation of the service sector. Investigation into the case of information and communication technology (ICT) services revealed that KIS suppliers are active in innovation. They obtained ideas required for their innovations from their knowledge activities inside firms and in the process of interaction with user firms. Large KIS suppliers are to a great extent interested in R&D for innovation, while small and medium suppliers are interested in developmental work. Weak knowledge flow was found between KIS suppliers and the public sector like universities and public research institutes.

혁신확산이론을 바탕으로 한 정보통신기술의 수용요인에 관한 분석적 실증연구 (An Analytical Study of ICT Adoption based on Diffusion Innovation Theory)

  • This study adopts diffusion of innovation theory and analyses product life cycle on two different information communication technology (ICT) products. One is telematics located on introduction and the other one is MP3 located on maturity. The analytical results were mixed. ordinary least square (OLS) result showed that adoption of MP3 player is affected by white noise error ($\varepsilon$) and telematics is influenced by innovation effect (p coefficient) rather than imitation effect (q coefficient) or white noise error. However, nonlinear least square (NLS) result showed that adoption of MP3 player is affected by imitation effect (q coefficient) rather than innovation effect (p coefficient). In addition, the ratio of imitation effect/innovation effect of MP3 player is larger than that of telematics.

조직학습이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 - 혁신활동을 매개로 - (The Effect of Organizational Learning on Management Performance: Mediating Effects of Innovation Activities)

  • 본 연구는 혁신활동의 선행변수로서의 조직학습 개념에 초점을 맞추어, 조직학습과 혁신활동, 경영성과 간의 관계를 살펴보았다. 선행연구에 따르면 혁신이 성공하기 위해서는 조직 내에서 지식을 획득하고 공유하는 활동이 필수적인데 이러한 활동을 수행하는 역량은 조직학습을 통해 향상시킬 수 있다. 즉 조직학습이 혁신의 선행변수로서 역할을 하고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 조직학습이 제품 및 혁신활동을 매개로 경영성과에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 한다. 조직학습은 학자마다 다양한 정의와 구성요소를 제시하나 본 연구는 Levitt와 March(1988), Huber(1991)의 학습능력 구조 분석의 틀을 사용하여 지식의 획득과 정보분배, 정보해석과 조직기억으로 구성되는 일련의 과정으로 측정하였다. 또한 혁신은 제품혁신과 공정혁신으로 구분하였고 신제품 제시, 생산성을 높이기 위한 개선활동 등의 하위변수로 측정하였다. 경영성과는 재무적, 비재무적 성과로 측정하였다. 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 3단계 회귀분석 및 붓스트래핑을 실시하였다. 실증연구 결과, 조직학습은 경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있으며 하위변수 중 학습활동의 초기단계인 지식획득과 정보분배가 제품혁신을 매개로 성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 실증연구결과를 토대로 시사점과 연구의 한계점 및 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

Effect of Green Transformational Leadership and Organizational Environmental Culture on Manufacturing Enterprise Low Carbon Innovation Performance

  • Previous studies stated that low carbon innovation performance could be influenced by government regulations and the green market, which is the new trend of consumer consumption in the present time, mainly focusing on external factors. Before study augured that low carbon innovation performance could be driven by internal and external factors of cooperation such as institutional pressure, stakeholder pressure, and innovation resources. However, the study of green transformational leadership and organizational environmental culture on low carbon innovation performance is rare, especially in Chinese manufacturing, as well as the effect of influencing factors of TPB model: environmental attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior capability on low carbon innovation performance. Previous studies mostly used the TPB model for predicting individual behavior. This study established a theoretical model combining the TPB model with green transformational leadership and organizational environmental culture of Chinese automobile manufacturing on low carbon innovation performance. This study consists of two sections of research methodology: section 1 related to questionnaire design and data collection. We established a questionnaire and distributed it online, targeting responses from the managerial level working in Chinese automobile manufacturing. Eventually, 155 valid questionnaires were used for analysis. Section 2 involved data analysis using statistical software. Reliability and data validity was examined by reliability analysis and factor analysis. Correlations and convergent validity analyses were applied, and structural equation modeling was conducted to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings indicated that green transformational leadership, organizational environmental culture, and essential factors of TPB model; environmental attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavior capability positively affect low carbon innovation performance. In addition, the indirect effect of green transformational leadership was tested and found that organizational environmental culture and TPB factors mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and low carbon innovation performance.

기업의 흡수역량과 정보기술 활용도가 혁신에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of the Absorptive Capacity and IT Usage on Firms' Innovation)

  • This study is to analyze the impact of the absorptive capacity and information technology (IT) on firms' innovation. The absorptive capacity is measured by R&D investment intensity, R&D manpower concentration, and the firm's size. We try to see the interaction effects between the absorptive capacity and IT usage on firms' innovation. We also look into the differences of the impacts between manufacturing industry and service industry as well as IT industry and service industry. We found that IT and R&D intensity have stronger interaction effect on innovation in manufacturing industry than in service industry, which shows that IT plays a more important role in the accumulation of knowledge in R&D activity in manufacturing industry. Contrarily, in service industry, IT and R&D manpower concentration has significant interaction effects on innovation. This means that the role of IT in service industry is sharing knowledge and experiences among employees in service industry. The interaction effect between firm's size and IT has positive impact on innovation in manufacturing industry, while it has negative impact on innovation in service industry. Finally, we found that the interaction effect is statistically significant in non-IT industry, while it is not statistically significant in IT industry.

Transformation of Sectoral Innovation Pattern : Evidence from Korea

  • Purpose - This work tries to analyze the transformation of sectoral innovation pattern as time goes by to enhance the understanding on sectoral innovative activities, particularly considering the change of the nature of knowledge, and the trend of convergence. Research design, data, and methodology - This work tries to identify main factors, which determine the output of technological innovation through the econometric analysis, utilizing the result of Korean Innovation Survey and find a stylized fact on the change of the innovation pattern. Result - As a result of estimation, some major elements show different effects for two discrete years, 2002 and 2010; in chemical industry the open information source and neutral basic research become more important with the appropriation mechanism such as patents, and in machinery industry, the importance of internal information has been getting decreased with rising importance of customers. Conclusion - This work presents that some elements show different effects for two discrete years. Among three major elements, the source of information and appropriation mechanism shows different features for both industries. This means that we should explicit consider the changing nature of innovative environment, which leads to and heavily influence whether the innovative activity would be effective or not when we design innovation strategy and innovation policy.

서비스 혁신의 선행요인에 관한 연구: 서비스 지배적 논리와 자원 우위 이론을 중심으로 (Identifying Antecedents of Service Innovation: Based on Service-Dominant Logic and Resource-Advantage Theory)

  • 지난 30년간 서비스 혁신을 어떻게 바라볼 것인가에 대한 관점의 논의가 지속적으로 이루어져왔지만, 아직까지 학계에서 전반적으로 통용되는 서비스 혁신에 대한 관점 및 측정방법은 부재한 실정이다. 많은 서비스 혁신 연구들은 기존의 전통적인 기술 개발 및 제품 혁신 이론에 기반을 두고 서비스 혁신을 이해하려 했다. 기존의 제품 중심의 분석방법론은 서비스 혁신의 비기술적 특성을 간과하는 오류를 범할 수 있어 이를 대체할 수 있는 새로운 접근법이 요구되고 있으며, 대표적인 접근법으로 서비스 지배적 논리가 있다. 서비스 지배적 논리는 새로운 관점에서 혁신과 혁신의 선행요인들을 분석할 수 있는 개념적인 프레임워크이다. 또한 서비스 혁신이 기업 경쟁력과 기업성과를 향상 시킨다는 인식은 서비스 기업들을 중심으로 점차 증가하고 있음에도 불구하고, 서비스 혁신에 대한 이론 및 활용에 대한 연구와 이해 부족으로 인해 소수의 기업만이 서비스 혁신을 수행하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 기업에서 성공적으로 서비스 혁신을 수행하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 서비스 혁신에 영향을 미치는 선행요인에 대한 연구가 먼저 선행되어야 한다. 이러한 필요에 따라 본 연구에서는 서비스 지배적 논리관점에서 서비스 혁신의 선행요인을 이론적이고 실증적으로 분석하고자 한다. 따라서, 본 연구의 목적은 다음 질문에 대한 답을 구하는 것이다: 1) 서비스 혁신 선행요인은 서비스 혁신에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? ; 2) 서비스 혁신은 기업의 비재무적 그리고 재무적 성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 서비스 혁신의 선행요인(인적자원 관리 역량, 내부 협업 역량, 마케팅 역량, 정보기술 역량), 서비스 혁신 차원(서비스 창출 혁신, 서비스 전달 혁신, 고객 상호작용 혁신)과 기업성과(비재무적, 재무적)를 가지고 이들 간의 인과 관계를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 국내 189개의 서비스 기업을 대상으로 수집된 데이터를 기반으로 수행되었다. 연구결과 인적자원 관리 역량, 마케팅 역량은 모든 서비스 혁신 차원에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 반면, 내부 협업 역량과 정보기술 역량은 서비스 창출 혁신과 서비스 전달 혁신에만 제한적으로 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 고객 상호작용 혁신에는 인력자원 관리 역량이 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 모든 서비스 혁신 활동은 비재무적 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 반면, 재무적 성과에는 서비스 전달 혁신과 고객 상호작용 혁신만 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

병원정보시스템 품질이 사용자 만족과 서비스혁신 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Impacts of Hospital Information System Quality on satisfaction of system users and Service Innovation Performance)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 종합병원에서 병원정보시스템 품질요인이 사용자의 만족과 서비스혁신 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 간호사 250명을 대상으로 설문조사 하였으며, 5점 Likert 척도를 사용하여 병원정보시스템 품질, 사용자 만족, 서비스혁신 성과를 측정하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS WIN 24.0 프로그램을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, correlation Regression 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 서비스혁신 성과와 독립변수 간 상관계수는 시스템 품질(r=.644, p<.001), 정보품질(r=.650, p<.001), 서비스품질(r=.629), 사용자 만족(r=.831, p<.001) 으로 유의하였다. 병원정보시스템 품질과 서비스혁신성과에서 사용자 만족이 조절변수로 설명력은 78.4%로, 사용자 만족이 높을수록(B=.557, p<.001) 서비스혁신 성과가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 병원정보시스템의 구축에 있어 시스템 품질과 사용자 위주의 지원 및 서비스의 중요성을 바탕으로 실무적인 함의를 제시하였다.
