Pregnancy and Childbirth Experience of Unmarried Teenage Mothers (십대 미혼모의 임신 및 출산 경험)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe the pregnancy and childbirth experience of unmarried teenage mothers and to provide basic information of programmes to prevent unplanned pregnancies in unmarried teenage mothers. Methods: The participants of study were 7 unmarried teenage mothers who lived in shelters in D city, and whose ages ranged from 15 to 19 years. Data gathering through in-depth interviews, 3 to 5 times, was done from August 2002 to September 2003. Data were analyzed with Colaizzi's(1978) phenomenological methodology. Results: The implications of pregnancy and childbirth experience for unmarried teenage mothers were "Seem to live in hell", "Desire for a miscarriage", "Lethargy", "Feel maternity", "Feel unjustified", and "Change of sexual perception". Conclusion: These findings contribute to understanding the pregnancy and childbirth experience of unmarried teenage mothers and can be used as sexual education information to help unmarried teenage mothers to prevent further unplanned pregnancies.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅에서 센서 네트워크는 상황인지를 위한 가장 기본적인 인프라 기술이다. 또한 기존의 네트워크를 이용하지 않고 독립적인 네트워크를 구성한다. 그러므로 센서 네트워크는 각자 독립적인 전력을 사용한다. 이러한 특성상 전력 소비의 문제가 가장 중요한 기술적 난제로 존재한다. 전력소비의 문제를 개선하기 위해서는 다양한 방법이 존재 한다. 네트워크를 형성하기위한 센싱정보의 효율적인 전송 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 상황정보를 표현하기 위한 방법을 제안하고 표현된 정보를 사용하여 RF 데이터 전송의 여부를 결정함으로써 전송에 따른 전력 소비를 효율적으로 추구한다.

  • Use of wireless LAN limited to special fields in restricted space as enterprises and university networks becomes gradually generalized and its needs are gathering strength. This paper shows transfer modes and structures of 2.400 wireless LAN spreaded at present. And we made experiments on an influence of transmission characteristics and rates of Packet signals in various User's environments and analyzed optimum transmission levels of signals fitted in User's environments.

  • Several researches and patents has been published on gathering impurity from both upper and lower places of melting zinc bath and collecting them using melting resolution, but they have never discovered work model applied in the field.   • Recently, there are increasing need to make a synthetic assessment about oceanic data which is collected over the various scientific field, in addition to just gathering oceanic data. In this study, we made a basic map using satellite image, aerial photo, multi-beam data, geological stratum data etc. And as well we are producing comprehensive SVT(Scientific Visualization Toolkit) which can visualize various kinds of oceanic data. These oceanic data include both survey data such as tidal height, tide, current, wave, water temperature, salinity, oceanic weather data and numeric modelling results such as ocean hydrodynamic model, wave model, erosion/sediment model, thermal discharged coastal water model, ocean water quality model. In this process, we introduce GIS(Geographic Information System) concepts to reflect time and spatial characteristics of oceanic data.

  • In this thesis, we present process that remove mistake of data before statistical analysis. If field data which is not simple examination about validity of data, we cannot believe analyzed statistics information. As statistical analysis information is produced based on data to be input in statistical analysis process, the data to be input should be free of error. In this paper, we study the application of statistical analysis road map that can enhance application on site by organizing basic theory and approaching on initial data exploratory phase, essential step before conducting statistical analysis. Therefore, access to statistical analysis can be enhanced and reliability on result of analysis can be secured by conducting correct statistical analysis.

  • Advances in hardware and wireless network technologies have placed us at the doorstep of a new era where small wireless devices will provide access to information anytime, anywhere as well as actively participate in creating smart environments. In this paper, we propose location-aware clustering method in wireless sensor networks. Previous clustering algorithm assumes that all nodes know its own location by GPS. But, it is unrealistic because of GPS module cost and large energy consumption. So, we operate localization ahead of cluster set-up phase. And Considering node density and geographic information, Cluster Heads are elected uniformly. Moreover, communication between CHs is prolonged network lifetime.

  • This paper presents about the activities of speech database standardization in ETRI. Recently, with the support of government, ETRI and SiTEC have been gathering the large speech corpus for the domestic speech related companies. First, due to the lack of sharing the knowledge of speech database specification, the distributed speech database has a different format. Hence it seems to be needed to have the same format as soon as possible. ETRI and SiTEC are trying to find the better representation format of speech database. Second, we introduce a new description method of the annotation information of speech database. As one of the structured description method, XML based description will be applied to represent the metadata of the speech database. It will be continuously revised through the speech technology standard forum during this year.

  • Vessel PMS (Planned Maintenance System) is a paper and/or software based system to monitor vessel engine equipment including main propulsion, steering, auxiliary machinery and cargo handling information. This is one of mandatory survey for vessel introduced by IMO (International Maritime Organization). The planned maintenance as well as documentation must be performed according to a system to be approved by classification agencies. Recently, vessel owners have preferred software based systems to collect and preserve accurate data. However, not ship specific and not taking into account the user are said by end users as operational difficulties. To relieve these concerns, this research analyzes vessel PMS data, suggests a middleware to support automatic collection and design consideration of user interface.
