  • Recently, developments on quantum computers and cloud computing have been actively conducted. Quantum computers have been known to show tremendous computing power and Cloud computing has high accessibility for information and low cost. For quantum computers, quantum error correcting codes are essential. Similarly, cloud computing requires homomorphic encryption to ensure security. These two techniques, which are used for different purposes, are based on similar assumptions. Then, there have been studies to construct quantum homomorphic encryption based on quantum error correction code. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a scheme which can process the homomorphic encryption like quantum computation by modifying the QECCs. Conventional quantum homomorphic encryption schemes based on quantum error correcting codes does not have error correction capability. However, using the proposed scheme, it is possible to process the homomorphic encryption like quantum computation and correct the errors during computation and storage of quantum information unlike the homogeneous encryption scheme with quantum error correction code.

  • This study intended to exploratively testify human error causing factors for railway traffic controller, using AMOS structural equation model. Through literature survey, fatigue and stress as exogenous variable, errors in information process such as cognitive, memory, storage, and execution error as endogenous variable, and accident and incident(near-miss) as dependent variable were set up. Results based on AMOS using 201 railway traffic controllers' questionnaire showed that a clear causality loop like as 'stress ${\rightarrow}$ memory error ${\rightarrow}$ storage error ${\rightarrow}$ incident(near-miss) ${\rightarrow}$ accident' is formed. This result suggests that for the purpose of mitigation of traffic controller's accident, it is so necessary to reduce memory and execution error in the information processing process based on the effective management of stress, as the precedent of them.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient concatenated code for both random and ISI errors on diffusion-based molecular communication channels. The proposed concatenated code was constructed by combining the ISI-mitigating code designed for ISI mitigation and the ISI-Hamming code strong against random errors, and the BER(bit error rate) performance was analyzed through simulation. In the case of the above M=1,200 channel environment, it was found that the error rate performance of the concatenated code follows the error rate performance of the ISI-mitigating code, which is strong against ISI, and follows the error rate performance of the ISI-Hamming code, which is strong against random errors, in the channel environment below M=600. In M=600~1,200, the concatenated code shows the best error rate performance among those of three codes, which is analyzed because it can correct both random errors and errors caused by ISI. In the following cases of below M=800, it can be seen that the error rate of the concatenated code and the ISI-mitigating code shows an error rate difference of about 1.0×10-1 on average.

  • Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR) methods using initial sensors are being studied to provide the location information of smart device users in indoor environments where satellite signals are not available. PDR can continuously estimate the location of a pedestrian regardless of the walking environment, but has the disadvantage of accumulating errors over time. Unlike this, WiFi signal-based wireless positioning technology does not accumulate errors over time, but can provide positioning information only where infrastructure is installed. It also shows different positioning performance depending on the environment. In this paper, an integrated positioning technology integrating two positioning techniques with different error characteristics is proposed. A technique for correcting the error of PDR was designed by using the location information obtained through WiFi Measurement-based fingerprinting as the measurement of Extended Kalman Filte (EKF). Here, a technique is used to variably calculate the error covariance of the filter measurements using the WiFi Fingerprinting DB and apply it to the filter. The performance of the proposed positioning technology is verified through an experiment. The error characteristics of the PDR and WiFi Fingerprinting techniques are analyzed through the experimental results. In addition, it is confirmed that the PDR error is effectively compensated by adaptively utilizing the WiFi signal to the environment through the EKF to which the adaptive error covariance proposed in this paper is applied.

  • This paper presents unequal error protection and error concealment techniques far robust H.263 video transmission over mobile channels. The proposed error protection scheme has three major features. First, it has the capability of preventing the loss of synchronization information in H.263 video stream as much as possible that the H.263 decoder can resynchronize at the next decoding point, if errors are occurred. Secondly, it employs an unequal error protection scheme to support variable coding rates using rate compatible punctured convolutional (RCPC) codes, dividing the encoded stream into two classes. Finally, a macroblock-interleaving scheme is employed in order to minimize the corruption of consecutive macroblocks due to burst errors, which can make a proper condition for error concealment. In addition, to minimize the spatial error propagations due to the variable length codes, a fast resynchronization scheme at the group of block layer is developed for recovering subsequent error-free macroblocks following the damaged macroblock. futhermore, error concealment techniques based on both side match criterion and overlapped block motion compensation (OBMC) are employed at the source decoder so that it can not only recover the lost macroblock more accurately, but also reduce blocking artifacts. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme can be an effective error protection scheme since proper video quality can be maintained under various channel bit error rates.

  • Illusory Correlation Effect(ICE) is a cognitive error that arises from overestimating particular stimulus of an individual or a group. This may cause formation of stereotypes of the individual or the group and may also lead to generating various biased judgments. this study investigated the Illusory Correlation Effect of clothing style and considered the effect of Preview information. The results Provided evidence for the existence of an illusory correlation between a wearer and clothing style. Also, an illusory correlation was influenced information of stimuli attributes. This implies subjects perceived stimuli more distinctively when previous information was provided.

  • In this letter, we propose a cross-layer technique jointly considering modulation coding schemes (MCSs) of medium access control (MAC) layer, source significance information (SSI) and error concealment unit of application (APP) layer, and channel quality information (CQI) of physical (PHY) layer. We demonstrate the improved video quality by the proposed technique when H.264 videos are streamed over Rayleigh fading wireless channels.

  • This paper describes a modification to the SACK (Selective Acknowledgement) Transmission Control Protocol's (TCP), called SACK TCP with Probing Device, SACK works in conjunction with Probing Device, for improving SACK TCP performance when more than half a window of data lost that is typical in handoff as well as unreliable media. It shows that by slightly modifying the congestion control mechanism of the SACK TCP, it can be made to better performance to multiple packets lost from one window of data.

  • Recently, the communication between LED array and camera, called Visual-MIMO, is under active research and we expect the maximization of application to the vehicle as well as smart-phone. In this paper, we improve the BER performance of Visual-MIMO system by using the brightness information of a received image. We also suggest the error correction method to minimize the error due to Inter-Symbol-Interference. The performance analysis according to the noise and distance variation will verify the validity of our proposed method including results through simulation and hardware experiment.
