  • With the continued popularity of mobile devices such as smart-phones and tables, the development of the various kinds of digital contents making tools has not increased only the productivity of the digital contents, but also the demand of them rapidly. Geo-contents which means the digital contents related to location(geographic) information has enabled the user custom services. Especially, there are already some commercial location-based services that provide the user to POI (Points of Interest) with the geo-image contents such as photos tagged by the location. In the geo-video contents, there could be several related locations in the whole video, but only one representative location is used to tag a location to the video. In this paper, we have define the geo-video as a video content which has as many locations as the number of frames composing the video. We have also proposed the geo-video making tools and a viewer to create and utilize the geo-video contents. The geo-video contents proposed in this paper, are widely used in location based video contents searching services.

  • The importance of contents industry is growing up in various industries because of internet and digital economy. Recently, contents industry is challenging to new businesses such as total service industry with digital contents. It is important to classify digital contents to use it in contents industries and information and telecommunication service industries. Previous contents classification frameworks is based on contents quality, business model and application methods. They didn't consider business processes, interfaces of business unit and interactions in contents industries. In this paper, we present core business processes in digital contents industries, a corresponding digital contents classification, and analysis method of digital contents industry.

  • Many enterprises have various business models with the distribution structure on the basis of UCI. However, this tries are performed locally. So, there are still many side-effects for other enterprises to share contents mutually. We propose a contents distribution model on the basis of UCI. We first research on contents syndicator and its requirements. And the we establish a standard model for contents distribution.

Designing Education Contents for Chinese Character Utilizing Internet of Things (IoT)

  • Recently, the development of electronic teaching materials and the demand of digital learners have led the needs on the education contents that replace learning from character information and the change of an information design method for this. Chinese character education in the traditional schooling mainly focuses on writing and memorization (semantic memory). This way that the stories do not exist has brought the learners' recognition that Chinese character is difficult to learn. Meanwhile, for a language study such as English, cross-media development between printed materials and audio-visual materials has been actively introduced. The method that extends episode memories along with memorization through a story is widely used. Therefore, this content suggests a prototype, which is broken away from an existing way of learning Chinese character that mainly focuses on writing, one sided instruction and information cramming. This makes learners learn through a story from printed materials and animation. Furthermore, it suggests a method that extends episode memories through Chinese education contents based on IoT explaining the principle of Chinese character by combining IT technology (information and communications, IoT) and education contents on block toys.

  • As the use of smart devices is being increased rapidly by the development of internet and IT technology, the contents production and utilization rate are showing higher increase, too. In addition, the type of contents also shows very diverse forms such as education, game, video, UCC, etc. In the meantime, the contents are reproduced in diverse forms by reprocessing the original contents, and they are being serviced through the contents service platform. Therefore, the platform to make the contents reprocessing easy and fast is needed. As the diverse contents distribution channels such as YouTube, SNS, App Service, etc, easier contents distribution platform is needed, and the development of the relevant area is expected. In addition, as the selective consumption of the contents having easy accessibility through diverse smart devices is distinguished, the demand for the platform and service that can identify the contents consumption propensity by individual is being increased. Therefore, in this study, to vitalize the online contents distribution, the contents reproduction and publishing platform, was designed and materialized, which can reproduce and distribute the contents based on the real-time contents editing technology in URL unit and the consumer propensity analysis technology using the data management-based broadcasting contents distribution metadata technology and the edited image contents streaming technology. In addition, in the results of comparing with other platforms through the experiment, the performance superiority of the suggested platform was verified. If the suggested platform is applied to the areas of education, broadcasting, press, etc, the multi-media contents can be reproduced and distributed easily, through which the vitalization of contents-related industry is expected.

  • This study is to investigate and analyze on the status and problems of knowledge & information contents management in the financial institution of Korea. The domain of research was made of user library, and archives management. The result of the study was as follows: 1) to provided knowledge & information contents on user. 2) to generated the problems on utilization and production knowledge & information contents as the lack of understanding 3) to had little understanding on knowledge information share and management. For example, to differ archives management and library. So, the researcher proposed an active programs on the above problems.

  • This study has began to develop a method for the student major in visual communication and media design to allow them approach to digital contents design developing process in easier and more effective way. The aim of this study is to investigate the potential significance of developing analogue contents design as one of the preliminary works in the digital contents design developing process. The results revealed that designing analogue contents as one of the preliminary works of the digital contents design is: Firstly, it reduces students' mental pressure in organizing the structure of overall information clusters at the phase of information architecture. Secondly, it helps students to find out the object and the preferable form of information design intuitively in the process of information design. Lastly, it is helpful for students to understand the characteristics of digital contents design through clarifying the differences between analogue contents design and digital contents design.

  • Due to the development of ICT technology, convergence reality contents are utilized as technology for providing services in various industrial fields by visualizing various information such as sensor information and shared information in a service platform showing only simple three-dimensional contents. Research is underway to reduce the weight of applications by transmitting the resources of the object to be enhanced to the network as the information and the contents to be provided increase. In order to provide resources through the network, servers for processing various information such as pattern information, content information, and sensor information must be constructed in a cloud environment. However, in order to authenticate data transmitted and received in real-time in a cloud environment, there is a problem in that the processing is delayed and a delay phenomenon occurs in the rendering process and QoS is lowered. In this paper, we propose a system to distribute cloud server which provides augmented contents of convergent reality service that provides various contents such as sensor information and three - dimensional model, and shorten the processing time of reliable data through distributed relay between servers Respectively.

  • The public library strives to foster information use by the public, cultural activities, reading, and life-long education. Public libraries are firmly rooted in local societies providing services that reflect the needs and characteristics of those local communities, while at the same time are structured in a coherent nation-wide network. This study examines practices of managing local cultural contents and proposes ways in which public libraries, as central information hubs in local communities, can provide diverse knowledge information and cultural programs, and local culture contents.
