  • The purpose of this study is to present the improvement of connection system between traffic information centers for reliable traffic information service. We recognized traffic information error caused by too much time in conjunction between traffic information centers, lack of reliability of traffic information caused by absence of generation time and generation institution of traffic information. We presented minimization methods of connection time, improvement methods of reliability of traffic information and development methods of connection state management system.

  • Though many corporations are operating their logistics information systems, standard document forms for the connection of logistics information systems between transaction companies are not provided. Therefore, the standardized logistics information connection is needed for the efficient management. In this study, we Provide a prototype for logistics information systems connection by using e-mail which contains RFID and product information. This study could be a basis for logistics information system connection with the advance of RFID.

A connection caching technique using host grouping (호스트 그루핑을 이용하는 연결 캐슁 기법)

  • Connection caching technique is widely used to reduce the overhead incurred by frequency connection establishment in distributed computing environment using connection oriented protocol. We present an efficient connection caching scheme where we divide the system into several host groups and connection between the hosts in the same group is kept prior to others. In other words it makes the connection kept longer by sharing the connection use information between hosts in the same group. Every host group consists of hosts which have heavy intercommunication. And we present performance evaluation of the effect of host grouping upon connection caching and performance comparison of various grouping in several aspects includingmeanservice request interarrival time, mean service time, group size, grouping and type of group. Simulation results show that host grouping is effective in evrey performance criterion and proper grouping of hosts enhances the performance. We also present analysis results for Markov process model of our scheme which are consistent with the simulation results.

  • The aim of this study is to propose service-oriented connection model among National Geospatial Information Platforms(NGIPs). For this, the study analyzes the necessity of NGIPs connection and extracts the issues related to the connection among NGIPs through Industrial-University-Institute experts survey. Based on this analysis, this study constructs service-oriented connection model for NGIPs, so called Single Point Access model and proposes the policy and technological counterplan to realize this model. This study result can be applied to establish a platform government based on geospatial information, policy for NGIP, and the national Information plan.

  • In this paper, a new enhanced early fair rate allocation(EFRA+) algorithm is proposed for ATM switches supporting ABR service. The central issue of explicit rate control algorithms for ABR service is the computation of max-min fair rates for every connection. The EFRA+ inherits the main feature of the EFRA, uses the connection control information during the connection setup to prevent potential congestion in switches, and enhances the computation method of the max-min fair rate.

  • The signaling protocol for B-ISDN should support variety of services including point-to-pont single-connection call, point-to-point multi-connection call and point-to-multipoint connection call. an efficient signaling protocol for point-to-point multi-connection call based on ITU-T Recommendation Q.298X is presented in this paper. Sequential establishment of madatory and optional connections and common routing scheme for synchronization, along with separation of information elements for establishement of multi-connection call are included in the proposed signaling protocol. Limited network resources can be used more efficiently by proposed sequential establishement of mandartory and optional connection for point-to-point multi-connection call which can provide multimedia services. And common routing can be provided effectively by proposed common routing scheme for connectios requiring synchronization like as video-phone and video-conference.

Combination-mode BLE Device Profile for Connection & Non-connection Methods

  • In recent years, BLE technology has received extensive attention and has been applied to all aspects of life. The existing BLE device has two methods, one is the connection method, and the other is a non-connection method. The representative profile of the connection method is the proximity file. The most typical example of Non-connection method BLE device is a beacon. However, they are both independent and have their own shortcomings. Connection method device can provide service for only one user, others can't use. Security performance of Non-connection method BLE device is poor and the device can't be controlled by the user. In this paper, a combination-mode BLE device profile design scheme is presented, which combines with the previous two methods, and solves the defaults. And We define a dual purpose advertising package that can be used in a normal environment as well as in a disaster environment. Finally, a unidirectional Control idea is proposed. Through performance evaluation, we found that the device has strong stability and low power consumption.

  • This study has its purpose on analyzing the problems of data connection between general management institution and itemized management institution shown through the college information disclosure project and presenting the plan to substantialize data connection between general management institution and itemized management institution. To make close inquiry into the related problem and induce plans for substantialization, this study analyzed the previous related research data as well as the connection status of information disclosure item of Korea Foundation for the Promotion of Private School, the itemized management institution, to induce problems; induced substantialization plan for data connection of itemized connection institution. As for the substantialization plan based on such, plan to integrate schools and department codes, plan to automatize data connection and plan to secure reliability of information were established. It is anticipated that the plan to substantialize data connection between management institutions reckoned through the result of this study would be used as the basic data for information disclosure project providing various reliable information from Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, General management institution, itemized management institution and college.

  • Bluetooth is the wireless solution which lay emphasis on Short Range, Low Power, Low Cost using a 2.4GHz frequency hopping. And the wireless interface of digital machinery and the various application studies, which are based on that, is making progress lively. This paper provides "Ethernet Connection for Bluetooth Piconet". Ethernet Connection is usually used in our life and can make the Connection of Internet for Bluetooth Piconet. Therefore, this system forms the basis of "Home or Office Remote Control System".

  • The advances in communication technology and the popularity of network have rendered the increment of demand and desire to digital contents, and a number of creative digital contents produced. According to the time of compilation and a production of raw data, and manners, the format of digital contents may be variable and there can be existed in many connection information about digital contents. Although there are many metadata for standardizing the digital contents, they do not consider for expressing the connection relation about digital contents. In this paper, we proposed the new metadata for expressing the connection information about digital contents. This metadata is compatible the metadata of dublin core out of international standard of digital contents. Our metadata can express the variable direct or indirect connection relation about digital contents by expanding the relation element of dublin core. Also, our system can provide more useful information since we develop a system for managing connection information of digital contents based on our metadata.
