  • This study tries to describe personal name access point control ontology for the American novelist Mark Twain using RDF/OWL axiom to control access point based on the ontology. The Axiom used in this study are disjoint with class, domain and range, property cardinality, inverse functional property, individual and literal data property. As a result, in the ontology environment we can accept various access points as equal access points exclusive of authority heading and heading concept. It can successfully describe Mark Twain's personal name access point control ontology and display using the OntoGraf.

  • Bonding Machine is new concept of semi industry. In this study, bonding machine is designed with aximatic design, then manufactured based on it. Axiomatic design offers a scientific base for design in an efficient way. Many application of the independence axiom have been pulished, however, the information axiom has been mainly applied to FR - DP problems except for few case studies.

  • This paper addresses the methodologies for manufacturing systems design. While a number of design methods are used in product or part design, methods for manufacturing systems design are rarely known. Two approaches, simulation and axiomatic design theory, are discussed with respective case examples. The usual purpose of using simulation is to identify the bottleneck of a manufacturing system or to evaluate its performance with the aim of configuring the manufacturing system. The simulation typically proceeds in steps such as problem definition, model building, numerical experimentation, analysis and evaluation. The axiomatic design method transforms customer attributes into functional requirements and repeats mapping processes between functional domain and physical one until a satisfactory level of refinement of the functional requirements and the design parameters is reached. Possible design alternatives are evaluated by applying the independence axiom as well as the information axiom.

  • The web ontology language(OWL) has become a W3C recommendation to publish and share ontologies on the semantic web. In order to check the satisfiablity of concepts in OWL ontology, OWL reasoners have been introduced. But most reasoners simply report check results without providing a justification for any arbitrary entailment of unsatisfiable concept in OWL ontologies. In this paper, we propose dependency label based causing inconsistency axiom (CIA) detection for debugging unsatisfiable concepts in ontology. CIA is a set of axioms to occur unsatisfiable concepts. In order to detect CIA, we need to find axiom to cause inconsistency in ontology. If precise CIA is gave to ontology building tools, these ontology tools display CIA to debug unsatisfiable concepts as suitable presentation format. Our work focuses on two key aspects. First, when a inconsistency ontology is given, it detect axioms to occur unsatisfiable and identify the root of them. Second, when particular unsatisfiable concepts in an ontology are detected, it extracts them and presents to ontology designers. Therefore we introduce a tableau-based decision procedure and propose an improved method which is dependency label based causing inconsistency axiom detection. Our results are applicable to the very expressive logic SHOIN that is the basis of the Web Ontology Language.

  • The aim of this paper is two fold: One of them is to introduce a formal definition of ordinals which is equivalent to Neumann's definition without assuming the axiom of regularity. The other is to introduce the weak transfinite set and show that the weak transfinite set is a transfinite limit ordinal.

  • Close examination of previous constraints on bound anaphora that are designed to directly constrain the distribution of referentially dependent(RD) items shows that no universal structural relation may exist that relates RD items to their antecedents. As an alternative to these constraints, this paper proposes an axiom of semantic interpretation, called the Principle of Referential Autonomy, which dispenses with any pretheoretical notion of grammatical functions or configurational notion like c-command. Together with certain English-specific facts, this principle enables us to infer the ungrammaticality of core examples of strong and weak crossover.

  • Providing a semantic knowledge system using media ontologies requires not only conventional axiom reasoning but also knowledge extension based on various types of reasoning. In particular, spatio-temporal information can be used in a variety of artificial intelligence applications and the importance of spatio-temporal reasoning and expression is continuously increasing. In this paper, we append the LOD data related to the public address system to large-scale media ontologies in order to utilize spatial inference in reasoning. We propose an RDFS/Spatial inference system by utilizing distributed memory-based framework for reasoning about large-scale ontologies annotated with spatial information. In addition, we describe a distributed spatio-temporal SPARQL parallel query processing method designed for large scale ontology data annotated with spatio-temporal information. In order to evaluate the performance of our system, we conducted experiments using LUBM and BSBM data sets for ontology reasoning and query processing benchmark.

  • Most existing deductive engines study for optimization of TBox based on Tableaux algorithm. However, in order to deduce mass-storing ABox in reality, it can't be decided in finite time. Therefore, for the efficiency of the deductive engine, there needs to be reasoning technique optimized for ABox. This paper uses the method that changes OWL-DL based Ontology to the form of Rule like Datalog in order to interlock store device such as RDBMS. Ultimately, it tries to in circumstance of real world. Therefor, using Axiom that OWL holds, it suggests reasoning method that applies rules including datatype.
