서비스 중요도를 사용한 서비스나무분석의 개선 (Improvement of Service Tree Analysis Using Service Importance)

  • The purpose of this paper is to improve the service tree analysis introduced recently by Geum et al. [15]. Service tree analysis structures the service based on the customer participation perspective and provides a qualitative analysis method categorizing the service elements on the basis of its impact to top service. This paper attempts to apply the concept of reliability importance to the service tree analysis as a perspective of quantitative analysis, which is considered little in Geum et al. [15]. Reliability importance is a measure of the structural impact of the components that make up the system on the system lifetime in reliability engineering field and often used in fault tree analysis. We transform the reliability importance into service importance in accordance with service tree analysis, so that the influence of service elements on the service can be judged and compared. The service importance is defined as the amount of change of the service according to the change of the service element, therefore, it can be utilized as an index for determining a service element for service improvement. In addition, as an index for paired service elements, the relationship between the two service components can be measured by joint service importance. This paper introduces conceptual changes in the process of applying reliability importance to service analysis, and shows how to use the service importance for identifying the priority of service element for the final service and improving customer satisfaction through an example. By using the service importance and joint service importance in service tree analysis, it is possible to make efficient decision making in the process of determining the service elements for analyzing and improving the service.

  • 스마트기기 대중화에 따른 소셜 네트워크 서비스의 폭발적인 증가로 온라인상의 관계와 활동이 오프라인상의 실생활까지 영향을 미침에 따라 온라인상의 소셜 네트워크 활동에 대한 관심과 중요성이 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 SNS 활동에 영향을 미치는 요소를 대상(object, 사용자(User), 영향력 방향(Influence direction), 영향력 강도(Influence distance) 4가지 요소로 정의하고 SNS 사용자 상호간 영향을 유기적 관점에서 측정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 기존 영향력 측정 요소를 반응횟수, 친구의 수, 접촉횟수 등 정형 데이터와 원인시간과 반응시간의 차이, 호감도, 반응의 유형 등 비정형 데이터까지 확대하여 영향력 방향(Influence Directio)과 영향력 강도(Influence Strength or Distance)의 측정 기법을 정교화 하였다. 또한, 영향력 측정을 위한 data를 수집하고 분석하는 시스템과 facebook으로 수집한 sample data를 이용한 영향력 측정 기법 프로세스를 실험하고 구현 가능성을 설명하였다.

Effect of temperature on service life of flexible pavement using finite element analysis

  • Temperature is one of the most critical elements that influence the rutting and fatigue resistance of flexible pavements. Particularly in extreme hot regions in Saudi Arabia, high temperature would significantly reduce the rutting resistance of flexible pavements leading to reduction of pavement service life. Due to the impacts of global warming, average temperature in Saudi Arabia is expected to further increase by about 4℃ by the end of the 21st century. The substantial increase in average temperature will elevate the expected pavement maintenance and rehabilitation cost. This paper analyzes the structural effects of temperature on pavement using layered elastic analysis based on finite element techniques. The research team calculated the potential loss of pavement service life due to the projected temperature increase and climate change. The paper also analyzed potential impact of using carbon waste in asphalt concrete to tackle the derogatory impacts of temperature rise.

  • Performed fatigue strength analysis for Hub to get the targeted service life of 20 years. ANSYS is used to analysis. The major structure of bearing which connect the hub and blades is modeled using the element of LINK10. To represent the stiffness of LINK10 element, initial strain and diameter of LINK10 element is applied. Prior to calculating the fatigue damages, the influence matrix is extracted from the unit loads. The target service life of 20 years is achieved from the Analysis results.

패밀리레스토랑의 서비스 접점 요소가 고객의 감정적 반응 및 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Study on the Effects of Service Encounter Elements in a Family Restaurant Based on Customers' Emotional Response and Satisfaction)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the interrelationships between customers' perception of service encounter elements, customers' emotional response and customer satisfaction in a family restaurant. Based on a total of 408 samples, this study reviewed the reliability and fitness of the research model and verified a total of 4 hypotheses using the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships of the model were tested simultaneously using a structural equation model (SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, ${\chi}^2$=821.151 (df=333), CMIN/df 2.466, GFI .878, NFI .927, IFI .955, TLI .949, CFI .955, RMSEA .060. The results showed that human factor ($\beta$=.426) and physical factor ($\beta$=.266) as service encounter elements in family restaurants were indicated to have a positive (+) influence on customers' positive emotion. For influence of customers' negative emotion, human factor ($\beta$=-.157) was surveyed to have a negative (-) influence. Also, customers' positive emotion ($\beta$=.716) and negative emotion ($\beta$=-.081) had significant effects on customer satisfaction. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

Understanding Service Quality in Health/Fitness Clubs from A Systems Perspective

  • Despite of the vibrant nature of the fitness industry, there has not been a sustained effort to understand the dynamics of the industry, particularly with reference to the quality of services offered in that industry. The purpose of this paper is to present a system based process model of quality in health/fitness services. The characteristics of the organization, the service employees and the client are the inputs into the service encounter where the service is produced (i.e., the throughput). The output is the quality of the service. The extent of quality perceived by both the service provider and the client is said to influence the satisfaction of the respective parties, and subsequent motivation to participate in the production of quality in the service. The model also suggests that physical environment as well as other customers and their behaviors influence customer perception of service quality. The quality of service is enhanced through the quality assurance practices of the organization and the feedback from client. Further, the input, throughput, and output in our model reflect (a) quality of the design of the service delivery system, (b) objective quality of the product, and (c) quality as perceived by client. The specific attributes of the design element (i.e., organization, service employee, and the client) are elaborated upon. It is suggested that the organization can assure quality by seeking feedback from clients and service employees, monitoring the service production phases, and managing inter-customer interactions.

The Effects of Welding Conditions on Allowable Heat Input in Repair Weld of In-Service Pipeline

  • Nowadays, repair welding on in-service natural gas pipeline is a matter of primary concern of gas company. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of welding conditions on the allowable heat input for crack-free welds and welds without burn-through onto in-service natural gas pipeline. First of all, single pass weld bead on plates of the various thickness was deposited to evaluate the penetration of weld metal, the depth of heat affected zone and the hardness of repair weld under various welding conditions. Also, finite element analysis has been conducted to validate experimental results of bead-on plate welds and to develop appropriate model for repair welding. The welding experiments of bead-on-plate weld confirmed the influence of plate thickness, heat input and welding process on safety. And, the finite element model was demonstrated by comparing experimental results. The agreement between the computed and measured values was shown to be generally good. Therefore, It is possible to predict the safety of repair welding under various welding conditions with experimental results and finite element analysis model.

사용자 만족도를 이용한 비 영역 업무공간의 개선우선순위에 관한 연구 (A Study on Non-Territorial Workplaces Design Consideration though the Analysis of the Workers Satisfaction)

  • The study is focused on the extraction of design consideration for non territorial workplace though the analysis of the workers satisfaction. Though the application of investigating method, at the first stage survey, satisfaction of non-territorial workplace user and the non territorial workplace design considerations are figured out. In addition the appraisal items are arranged and all of the factors were identified to influence the entire satisfaction in statistically meaningful levels. The first order of the design consideration for non-territorial workplace was evaluated as 'Psychological Element', 'Service Element', 'Mutual Interchange Action', 'Individual Working Element', 'Work Efficiency', 'Physical Element', respectively. Therefore the considerations are extracted based on the workers satisfaction and it need to be most focused on Psychological Element' among other things for non territorial workplace.

Numerical study of mono-strand anchorage mechanism under service load

  • Anchorage devices play an important role in post-tensioned bridge structures since they must sustain heavy loads in order to permit the transfer of the prestressing force to the structure. In external prestressing, the situation is even more critical since the anchorage mechanisms, with the deviators, are the only links between the structure and the tendons throughout the service life of the structure. The behaviour of anchorage devise may be studied by using the finite element method. To do so, each component of the anchorage must be adequately represented in order to approximate the anchor mechanism as accurately as possible. In particular, the modelling of the jaw/tendon device may be carried out using the real geometry of these two components with an appropriate constitutive contact law or by replacing these components by a single equivalent. This paper presents the numerical study of a mono-strand anchorage device. The results of a comparison between two different representations of the jaw/tendon device, either as two distinct components or as a single equivalent, will be examined. In the double-component setup, the influence of the wedge configuration composing the jaw, and the influence of lubrication of the anchor, will be assessed.

호텔 브랜드자산이 기업신뢰 및 고객시민행동에 미치는 영향 - 제주지역 4성, 5성 호텔을 중심으로 - (The Effects of Hotel Brand Equity on Enterprise Trust and Customer Citizenship Behavior - in Case of Four or Five Star Hotels in Jeju Island -)

  • 이 연구는 호텔 브랜드자산이 마케팅 성과 변수로서의 기업신뢰와 고객시민행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 호텔 브랜드자산이 기업신뢰에 미치는 영향을, 호텔 브랜드자산이 고객시민행동에 미치는 영향을, 기업신뢰가 고객시민행동에 미치는 영향을 다중회귀 분석하였다. 호텔 브랜드자산은 지각된 품질, 브랜드 이미지와 브랜드 인지도를, 기업신뢰는 신용도와 전문성을, 고객시민행동은 고객애호도와 고객협조를 하위요소로 구성하였다. 분석 결과, 호텔 브랜드자산 중 지각된 품질은 기업신뢰와 고객시민행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 브랜드 자산 관리에 있어 고객의 호텔 서비스 품질 지각 수준이 기업신뢰와 고객시민행동이라는 마케팅 성과에 매우 중요한 요소임을 입증하였다. 브랜드 이미지는 기업 신뢰 중 전문성에만 긍정적 영향을 미쳐 기업신뢰에 부분적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 반면, 고객시민 행동의 고객애호도와 고객협조에는 모두 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있다. 브랜드 인지도는 기업신뢰의 신용도와 전문성 모두에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 데 비하여, 고객시민행동의 고객애호도와 고객협조 모두에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 기업신뢰 중 기업신용도는 고객애호도와 고객협조 모두에 긍정적 영향이 있음을, 기업전문성은 고객협조에만 유의한 영향을 보였다.
